the second room has a very annoying problem. if you manage to get separated from the cube by the cube being on the elevator when you aren't, you're stuck. period. please fix this by adding a reset somewhere, or at least take into account that it might happen with some alternative preventitive measure? maybe a fizzler over the elevator area itself that can be activated by a button in the event of stranding the cube on it?

Clever :)

Yep, that was the intended solution to both parts! Glad you liked it.

Played this at the request of chroncile who wasn't sure how to do the first part the intended way. I can only assume he did what I first did and the intended was the 2nd way which was confirmed when I got to the second chamber. Nicely done!

I think in the first room you need to convey the concept a little better because I found the second room much easier to grasp. Two sacrifices! :o

the latest version of this is quite smooth, everything I did worked first time for me. although I did manage to strand the r cube on the elevated platform while working things out. cheers

Yeah the piston idea is pretty cool :p other room is a little finicky but has some neat ideas I might look into again.

Using the piston as a timer was a really awesome idea ^^ Tooks me a moment to figure out what to do with the first room, but then all was like evident! Really well done ^^

the first room i just flung across
the second room was interesting but nearly impossible without quicksaves because its based a lot on putting portals in the exact rigth places placing cubes at exact angles ect which i just annoying waiting to get it right when you know the answer

For the first room try using the piston/platform as a delay for the laser .

Also a respawn cube button is a great idea, I'll add that in soon.

Nice chamber! I loved that second puzzle, but i don´t have a clue what you want me to do in the first room.. I had two portals on the floor, i threw the cube as high as possible to fling it between the two portals, then i ran through the fizzler and jumped as the cube landed and redirected the laser...after about 20-30 tries i finally got it.. still no idea what the button/panel was for..
Another thing: you should put a button in the second puzzle to manually spawn the cube..I took it with me,up to the pedestal button and left it there..without quicksave this would have been really frustrating

Finally updated this to get rid of the unnecessarily difficult jump inbetween chambers.
XLR8br 18 Jun, 2012 @ 9:10am
The hardest part for me was the jump in the first room, the second puzzle was really neat though.

Yeah sorry about the first chamber, I'm actually working on making it easier to finish once you figure out the basic mechanic behind it.

Hey, there. I just wanted to say that I really liked the second puzzle in this chamber (I didn't care much for the first, though, since the difficulty was more in the execution than the solution). Nice job.
