you could create a mod to remove items after death, its working principle is quite simple, but it would give a completely different approach to the game, if all items from the inventory were completely removed after death, it would create a positive circulation of weapons and armor, which would equalize the balance of resources and items in large modpacks

For anyone curious if this mod still works, as some comments down below have asked, yes the mod still works. I've been using it, and while I'm happy with the mod I wish it spoiled items one at a time instead of the whole stack T_T

Regardless, still a good mod to have and use.

@DvynePetal Stardust UI and Stardust Core are separate mods.

I can confirm that the button doesn't appear on the Stardust UI fridge container interface. I have also tried it with the patch but it didn't change anything while running Stardust UI

I haven't tried it with the new compatible version listed by @逍遥小冯 as that version removes the rotting timer altogether.

I left a message on the Stardust UI comments as well, though may be a long shot.

@boldface have you tried this patch - Food Stack Container Patch
I always have it installed with Enhanced Storage and Stardust Core and it fixes the button issue.

Any future players with the "no knife/fork button" issue: I found that a conflict with the Stardust UI mod was to blame. Removing that fixed this essential QoL mod, thank goodness.

I'm not seeing the fork/knife icon in the bottom left, though this mod has worked fine on previous playthroughs. Anyone else having a problem? Hope that this isn't broken.

@feydras subscribe to the mod, then go to [steam folder]\steamapps\workshop\211820\729427436 and move the pak file from there

Is there a non-steam version to put directly into the mod folder? I'm running my server on the 'unstable starbound' and there is no Workshop link for that.

For some reason I become permanently invincible and unable to regenerate energy when I touch organic soup. Definitely caused by this mod. How does that even happen?

Thank goodness for this mod, Galaxy in Conflict foods seem to be compatible and those pesky common food items really fill up my inventory.

Food Stack is now functionally compatible with Enhanced Storage by using Food Stack Container Patch . The Food Stack "Knife & Fork" and Enhanced Storage "Quick Stack" buttons will both appear in the UI.

Just a head's up to anyone wondering why "this mod isn't working". Enhanced Storage has been updated to place a button in the lower left corner of containers that is preventing the knife/fork button for this mod from appearing.

This mod is incompatible with Startech Transmatter Networks (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=764888606) . Will cause fatal errors once the world the network is in would unload, either from teleporting or quitting the game.

FYI this mod doesn't work with Neonfruit, it just turns into 1 in the inventory, even when you collect many. :( Can you look into this?

Avali Plus (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1636662922&searchtext=avali) and the Avali Food and Drink Mod (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2239569164&searchtext=avali) don't stack food with this- simply letting you know if you want to add compatability! Hopefully it's okay to put this here.

Elithian Races sodas don't stack, otherwise it works fine, these are the only things I've seen with this issue.

The Terramart shipment is bugged, when you place a stack of any number of food it converts the whole stack into just 1 food.

I don't know why many people complaining that it doesn't work.

I using this mod (with the Food Spoils Bar mod) and also CN More Farming -which adds more foods- in 1.4.4 and it works! I drop all the food into the fridge, then I click fork&knife icon and all the foods are combined into a stack.

Is there any possibility of adding something to automate this stacking feature? either maybe an innate timer which automatically activates the stacker or maybe something wire controlled so it doesnt always hamper the game? Im trying to do some FU automation but im going to have to stack food manually to save space, which sort of hampers the automation a bit. Its not a huge deal but it would be nice if its possible.

VectorMane it only stacks food with identical expiration timers, and you can use a fridge to force different timers to stack, with the resulting stack having the average of the different timers. says this in the description

for some reason it does not always stack food. It usually stacks them 2-3 times before creating a new stack, sometimes it doesn't even stack at all.
