any plans to make this work inside of a gravship?
like this one does: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3554379016
Hola Amigo 27 Aug @ 3:20pm
@Krupam interesting it might work the same way with bridges because i wasnt able to place it on them
Sam_  [author] 25 Aug @ 8:19am
The journey of handling confusing terrain affordances just continues unabated.
Krupam 24 Aug @ 2:20pm
I'm not sure if it's supposed to work this way, but you can now build a steel platform over empty space outside the edge of an asteroid, then build soil under the bridge and then remove the bridge, leaving you with normal solid ground.
Hola Amigo 16 Aug @ 10:16pm
Can we put this on heavy bridges?
Xeonzs 15 Aug @ 11:13am
For anyone else, I just wanted to mention, with odyssey it's now possible to achieve this effect with vanilla, usually each asteroid has 1-2 archaen tree seeds, each tree creates a 13 tile radius of rich soil.
So if you're willing to put in a little effort and consider it a reward for your efforts you can achieve the same effect (mountian base farming areas in my case) by much more satisfying ways.

This mod served me well, but I think I'll be taking that approach going forward.

Why not add the amount of fertility as a slider?
DragonZephyr 8 Aug @ 2:22pm
Kind of wish this mod just had a mod option to change the scale of fertillity for the tilled soil. At some point the 200% is entirely reasonable if you have hundreds of colonists but its "op" in multiple way. Like the wealth explosion which may kill you by using this. Changing the definition is a solution for one time but its a problem when sharing for multiplayer or when the colony changes later (from 5 tribal pawns to 20)

@steel
Use the Terraform Rimworld mod to place dirt down in a cave.
Put a sun lamp down, walls around, a roof over it, climate control the room.
HEY PRESTO! Indoor farm.
Bazerker 29 Jul @ 1:57pm
Steel thinks filling a room with dirt wouldn't work.
Mien 29 Jul @ 10:34am
yes, but it would be cool to have a farm patch on your ship still.
steel 24 Jul @ 3:27pm
hey, hate to break it to ya but you can't till steel or wood
B-17 Flying Clutchman 24 Jul @ 2:41pm
I'm sill having probles building soil on gravship tiles. Tried un/resubbing and un/reinstalling the mod but when i place soil to be build, the pawn will work it but nothing will be there. Sorry if this problem was already solved and i'm just repeating babble.
MedievalSailboatAgent 22 Jul @ 8:23am
I noticed that the tilled/soil tiles also do not work on the heavy bridges, it lets you place the blueprint but then builds nothing
Demelios 21 Jul @ 1:38pm
While making sure the archotech tree doesnt destroy the tiles
Demelios 21 Jul @ 1:35pm
Could you make it so that the soil tile work on spaceships?
Chilli Dog Dave 21 Jul @ 5:49am
ah thanks! works wonders now damn steam and its unsub resub bug
MedievalSailboatAgent 20 Jul @ 12:08pm
@chili dog dave Finally finished a mission with my gravship, can confirm the last update fixed both issues. But for some reason required me to unsub and resub
MedievalSailboatAgent 20 Jul @ 8:34am
@chili dog dave I had the same issue, couldnt build grav substructure or land on it, unsubbed and resubbed and reloaded into the save and now its letting me build on them. Have to test if I can land again but the update fixed one of the issues so far.
Chilli Dog Dave 20 Jul @ 6:38am
just figured i should add i am at this very moment after the fix still unable to land ship on a tile that has soil placed, had placed a test soil on the ship saw it didnt do anything so i ignored it, after flying away and coming back there is now a soil tile that stops me placing my grav ship
Yutoe 19 Jul @ 4:06pm
Awesome thanks, just had to unsubscribe and resubscribe for the update to actually download
Sam_  [author] 19 Jul @ 3:53pm
Should be fixed now
Mssnowhite 19 Jul @ 3:46pm
I'm having the same issue as @Yutoe. I'm unable to build my gravship on soil
Yutoe 18 Jul @ 7:08pm
Cant land odyssey ship on tilled soil or soil, and cant build gravlite substructure on it either, as the game states that it "requires terrain that supports Walkable" would be nice for a fix
Toaster 17 Jul @ 12:10pm
@VforSurvival check the "popular discussions" section, there is a guide on how to adjust it
VforSurvival 17 Jul @ 9:57am
Love the mod, used it for ages now. The only thing that'd make this better for me personally is having the ability to adjust the % fertile and/or have it locked behind research and/or require a certain skill to make it. If any of that is possible with some user tweaks, and the author is happy for it to be done, then im all ears.
Tsornin 17 Jul @ 9:07am
No lag for me.
Yoh1612 17 Jul @ 1:29am
When constructing tiled soil my game starts lagging pretty bad. Is anybody else experiencing this?
dmsephiroth 16 Jul @ 5:28am
I like your mod very much! Thank you for making this :)
Jester 15 Jul @ 1:55pm
Can't build on gravship substructures.
Tsornin 15 Jul @ 1:15pm
Thank you for the update! This was my first ever installed mod, and I play with it every time.
Elhazzared 15 Jul @ 5:03am
After further testing it seems that the cause is not apparent. I loaded my game and the tiled soil started working right, i did a test as said I would and the corn was growing at the expected x2 speed of regular soil. However a bug did happened earlier because it wasn't growing at the same speed, even more weirdly the cotton was growing at the same speed as the corn but after loading it all seemed to get the actual speed from the tiled soil.

Hopefully this is not something that will keep repeating as it may seem hard to reproduce if it fixes itself by loading a save.
Elhazzared 14 Jul @ 4:31pm
I am not sure this mod is currently working. In my current playthrough I have a field of corn that I planted about 5 days ago, with 200% fertility this should be somewhere in the 80 to 90% growth but it is at less than 50% which leads me to believe it's not applying the fertility despite it saying it has 200% fertility.

I will have to further test this tomorrow by making 2 farm plots, 1 with tiled soil and one on just regular 100% fertility soil.

@Emilis
Try the "Vanilla Plants Expanded" Mod if you are looking for something less powerful.
Emilis 13 Jul @ 10:24am
I see your cheeky FAQ, but personally I do really wish there was at least an option to make the soil require something (build time, cost, research, etc). Unless there is and I just missed it. Otherwise it really is way more overpowered than I prefer. Oh well. Until something like Terrapumps updates, you'll be my guy. Thanks for updating so soon.
sitting duck 13 Jul @ 9:29am
You cant put soil on gravship substructures :(
start20051119 13 Jul @ 4:13am
issue it says you can't only build this on something that can support heavy weight.
Gentleman小号 11 Jul @ 6:45pm
1.6?
TacocaT 11 Jul @ 5:41pm
thank you for updating this before I even woke up on release day <3
joshgalek 11 Jul @ 4:10pm
no me deja utilizar la version 1.6 :((
The Gunslinger 11 Jul @ 3:45pm

Teemo 11 Jul @ 1:40pm
Looks like tilled soil isn't something you can build gravship substructures on, it says you can't only build this on something that can support heavy weight. Deconstructing back to normal soil lets me build the substructures. probably just an xml change somewhere
TheFAYZ 11 Jul @ 1:19pm
thank you for the quick update!
xiaofengkuai 11 Jul @ 11:11am
thanks for update!
Magistorikus 11 Jul @ 8:38am
Thank you for the update!
Sam_  [author] 11 Jul @ 8:30am
Updated to 1.6
Sam_  [author] 11 Jul @ 7:00am
Coming shortly, but this mod should still work in 1.6
HarleyQuinn95love 11 Jul @ 6:56am
1.6 ?
Sam_  [author] 9 Jul @ 11:03am
It's possible there is some mod that changes how pawns use terrain, or animals graze, and my mod terrain is not supported. But without logs we'll never know.
Eventide 9 Jul @ 9:39am
Only thing I can think is load order messed something up and they removed your mod and it fixed. Then they instantly assumed this mod caused it. People lately are incredibly stupid and keep posting the dumbest comments..
