Duly noted. Thank you. :)

Yep, got it. And it is actually a better UI. U can see much more at once without scrolling; probably everything. Specifically you put a load/unload Station on the MS and then set up a Freight Network Monitor which you use to check inventory etc. (Sharing for the sake of those who might read this thread later.)

A freight station attached to the MS will track the inventory. I believe it should show the entire inventory if you go to the storage view. Only freight items are tracked on network views.

I understand. Thanks for looking, anyway. I forgot about the freight capabilities (not set up for freight yet in my current run.) I thought you had to have a station set up for an item before it becomes visible though. Anyway, there are other options/approaches (inc. mods, of which I am trying some new ones.) Just thought I'd post this in case it's an easy fix. Thanks again for cool mods and all your misc. input to the game! :)

Honestly haven't used/supported this since freight added superior functionality for inventory tracking. I don't see myself applying any fixes here. If a similar problem happens with freight inventory tracking, let me know.

...Doesn't seem like it's "Copper Wire (Old)".

Hanging on "Scanning Inventory..." I'm playing Lucrative Mobs and dumping all the junk into MS. It has worked at times but it seems like some particular item is causing it to glitch. "Copper Wire (Old)" maybe? I suggest that just because of the unexpected () chars in the name. Also, I don't think this is caused by overall size of storage because I've run it successfully with a much larger MS on another playthrough, but that might be worth looking into, too. But it did do this glitch on that playthrough, too, eventually. I really suspect some "invalid" item name is causing it. Thanks for the cool mod!

Le sigh, problem between chair and keyboard. The mod active checkboxes weren't filled so the mod was available but not activated.

Just copper wire, tin plates, and Basic Logistics research. Should be with the rest of the storage category items in the mfg plant.

Is there any particular item that needs to be scanned for this? I tried locating the item in the manufacturing plant, self craft and research station but all come up empty.

Again, you'll have to pass that along to Mithous. I didn't write any of the code that deals with the Workshop backend. That's all Mithious and Steam. I don't know why it wouldn't download the mod config but none of my code has anything to do with it.

A lot mod runs under Linux. : Advanced Quarrys, Mk2 Auto-Excavator, Mytharox mods. And mor.

Might be an issue with the way linux handles workshop mods. You'd need to talk to Mithious about the issue. I upload the config with it (I have to!) so if you aren't getting it there's nothing I can do unfortunately.

Sweet. lol, I totally didn't even think to look at the info panel...

The whole point of the mod is to avoid the tedium of having to go around manually looking at each crate to find how many items you have.

The vanilla scanner will just report "Other" for all of the remaining item types that are in storage which makes it useless for identifying how many of a rarer resource or machine that you have in storage with many kinds of items. For my panel the list is scrollable as you can see in the screenshot. If the list is too long you can press E/Q to scroll the list (or turn on autoscroll to let it go through it automatically).

Well, you can technically still visually scan the storage cubes to get a read on what's in that stack, tedious as that may be. Although I only use single type mass storage. I don't know if that works if there are say, 20 different item types in one stack.

Both the vanilla scanner and the inventory panel both look like they would have space issues displaying a large number of types. What happens? Does it just draw the text off of the object like it will with signs, or does it get cut off? Or does it just scale the font down?

I consider viewing the inventory a requirement of meaningful use of storage and as long as scanning the controller does not give the full readout it is incomplete for the job. Having the full inventory list is hardly something I would define as OP given that it doesn't majorly change the game's pace just eliminates a tedious unknown.

Now that you can scan the mass storage controller to see the contents, I wonder if this mod is now "OP" and should be deprecated?
