Not sure whether to post this question here or in the WOTC version so I'm posting it in both to be safe. I have the mod [WOTC] LW2 Classes and Perks enabled. Is this version compatible for that mod instead of the LWPP mod itself. As far as I've been able to discern for myself, it's either LWPP or WOTC and there's no Tank Class mod that supports both. (I currently use the WOTC version but it limits the Tank to Colonel level and I'd love to be able to get to Brigadier as well)

then thats a typo. It schould not remove status effects.

Hmm... I move all my mods out of the workshop and into a seperate mod folder so they can't auto update and this is what the description says on the PP in the .int file:

<Bullet/> PROTECTION PROTOCOL can also be used to stop burning or remove disoriented status effects.<br/>

that must be a mistake. PP does not remove any status effects. It says only that it can also be activated when the unit is burning or disoriented.

Just curious, I was looking at the .int file and Protection Protocol says, "PROTECTION PROTOCOL can also be used to stop burning or remove disoriented status effects.".

However, Last Chance activates Protection Protocol but says, "Does not clear status effects like acid or fire.".

Wouldn't it make sense for it to do everything that Protection Protocol does (i.e. stop the burning)?

Regardless, nice class. Definitely usable.

I've been having a problem in my current run where using Protection Protocol doesn't actually give shielding even when I don't have shielding from another source.

@george, kekistani: i am working on it :D

@pluvia: the config file is called TankClassLW.ini you can open it with editor. there you find AWC abilities and write "true" instead of false. If you are using it with LW2 this will may not work.

@kazraan: There are some compability and balance problems with LW2 and this mod, because this mod is coded for LWPP. I am working on a LW2 version.

I don't know where to edit the AWC files to make it so those abilities aren't disabled. "The config folder" is vague as tits.

Nvm, seems to be there.

New issue is I am not getting the armor from equipping a vest to my tanks. I use Armor and ammo mod, and have tried putting the vest in different slots, and no go yet. Any ideas?

Hey, new question or potential bug. In lw2, when using protection protocol, I don't see the 2hp shield added when using the ceramic plating. I still have the 2 hp from the armor, but it doesn't increase to 4. Not sure why

defense still counts and other perks. the enemy hit chance is increased thats a difference. protection protocol give all boni and it becomes better with higher tier gremlin.

Question on "here I am." if I am correct, it increases the chance to be hit by 70%. Do defensive perks and cover still get taken into account? If I have a tank with hard target and tactical sense in high cover, is all that defense worthless?

LW2 Fix so the class can use heavy weapons in EXO and WAR suits, in XComClassData.ini:

Phantom, the Tank will work with LW2 correct? The name convention has to be manually fixed which is easy. What about a secondary weapon will that cause a problem or just no secondary weapon, thanks.

thanks for report will fix in next update. Thats because the specialist in LWPP is called "LW_Specialist" and the LW2 mod uses a other class name ("LWS_Specialist") to prevent conflicts. If you can not wait for me, you can manually fix this for now. Open X2StrategyElement_TankLWAcadamyUnlocks.uc with an editor program, find RequiredSoldierClass = 'LW_Specialist'; and change this to LWS_Specialist. Save and then it should work.

Using this on LW2, only real problem seems to be the hack seminar project having no class attached to it, preventing it from ever being unlocked.

yeah i will make an update for lw2. probably with own secondary but i cant promise. secondary will be probably a gremlin but other model (is the easiest way for me for now). actually i do not know how to make it but i will find a way :D

yeah thats one of the things i have to try out. as i said i have not tested anything yet. per default the shield hps (Protection Protocol & team shield) are not applied if the unit has already a shield from a other source. (so in theory if the tank is wearing the ceramic plating he should get no shield hp but still the other damage reduction boni.) i have to balance it. i also do not know if ceramic is adding the bonus armor from ballistic vest (as they have know two different versions of utility vests...) Be patient i will update this mod for LW2 but i need to play it to make it better :D

What happens with the shield protocol and the ablative charge from vests? i.e. does it add to it, does it zero out the vest ablative as well when it expires?

this works with LW2's integration of the LWPP into the overhaul right? i'm pretty sure all the classes skills will still read?

Yes you are right if you want to make it avaiable through the resilience then it is "TankLWResilience". Be aware that in some cases unlocking from GTS abilities is not working, because these abilities are added different to the soldiers. Thats is also the reason why GTS abilities are not shown in soldier layout, only in tactical play. So if it does not work try it with a perk form the ability tree.

I'm just editing classes for my own use, I just used some of the perks from your mod. I have one more question though. I want to add a utility slot to the Resilience perk in the GTS since I cannot replace it, but I'm not sure of the name of the perk since the LWPP also has one. I'm using the Tons of Utility Items mod to do so. Could you tell me the name of it I could put in? Is it just TankLWResilience?

The GTS Tactics from tank can not be changed. You can change the costs in the ini file but not the tactic itself. For that you have to change the code of this mod. What do you want to change? Maybe i can implement it in the next update. Thanks

I mean the hack seminar, and I think you had another one. The perks you have to buy once the soldier gets to captain.
