pleasure, and if you played my other maps before this one you should know that my collecton can't be called an acutal challange on the "Puzzel" Level but is quite hard on the "movement" Level.

for me the fist part was the hardest too...I think i solved it unintended. I was able to leave the funnel area with 2 cubes so the rest was quite easy. Didnt need the moving platform at the top, the stairs and the blue gel. After all I have to say that the map had almost no sustain or in other words no clean puzzle. In my opinion there are way too many puzzle elements and the map focuses only on agility skills. But I still had a lot of fun playing around and trying stuff and you gave me a great idea for my new map. So thanks for sharing

Since this is the very last Map of my acutall Campaign, i wanted to create something challanging ( i advertised it a lot with beeing only for expert Portal Players).
I won't chance it, even if that mens only very few are good or lucky enoth to reach the exit. I even postet an explanation how it is supposed to work, made the hole thing easyier by removing the marker on the first block and i'm also going to record a video walkthrew for this little testpart.

Still won't chance it or place it at another location =)

PS: Good thing is, with no one beeing able to solve the test, no one is allowed to downrate my map since i won't accept votes from failed testers *hehe*

I think you will turn a lot of testers away if you keep the portal-loop thing as the very first problem, "nobody" will see the others puzzles you made! I finished the same type of portal-loop in the whitepaint room in the SP campaign and hated every second of it, but I've tried at least 20 times now and I'm not keen on trying 21. Just my 2 cents though.

sure that is possible, i noticed the same thing. I decided to let the marker stay there because i feared a lot people would have a hard time figuring out what exactly i expect them to do.
Well i moved the spot to the backwall, maybe that will make things a bit "easier" now.
Since i already spoilert the right solution anyway.

after trying again I found something really annoying: the portal you put on the ground has the tendency to be put at the faith plate target even though I'm clearly aiming somewhere else. might want to move the target for that if possible

lol I tried getting it done by keeping the portal on the ramp at all times. /masochism

To make this clear: You shoot one Portal onto the 30° Board and one onto the ground, jumping from portal in portal and moving the portal on the ground. After you get kicked high enoth to reach the top of the wall you chance the portal that you kept on the 30° Board, leaving you two portals on the normal ground. Placing one Portal next to the wall will allow you to cross it over.

The first part is quite heavy, the trick is to build up some speed by jumping from the top side of the 30° Board and making it to 5 or 6 sucessfull jumps before shooting both portals on the ground and moving them in midair closer to the wall till you can jump over.

I know it's tricky and i know a lot people don't like this part only because of this heavy task, but it is definetly possible and a great feeling once you got a hang of it

This "micro Jump" (how it was called by some of my testers) is new, you gotta use about 5 or 6 sucessfull jumps to get high enoth. After a bit practice it get's easier =)

I think there is a map in the Portal 1 Mod "Portal Prelude" that used that trick first, but i'm not really playing a lot Portal Maps since the map editor came, so i got no idea if there are more like that

not sure if the first jump you have to make was practised in earlier maps but it's quite hard, in fact I haven't gotten past that yet:P (managed about halfway over the stirp of ground). it's a pretty nifty jump though, did you come up with it yourself or are there other execution heavy maps you get this stuff from?
