I really like that the player could go through the vent. That being said, you should change the flip tiles so they flip back to a portable surface when you block the laser instead of when you get up on the platform with the laser. Since the panels fliped when I entered that room, I was able to get gel close enough to the exit platform to jump there.

On my first run the cube and I entered the gell tube but only I came out. Dropped another cube and was going to try again but the first cube ( blued ) entered the room! Now had two cubes??
Tried to repeat but cube kept exiting the tube with me. Was fun, Enjoyed, Thank you.

Must be connected to the fact GLaDOS didn't play her line (the door opens when she finishes it) Try changing the language, maybe there is no translation to these lines in your language...

Thanks P. Kiwi ! The problem is that i'm not actually making an isolated map, but I'm trying to integrate a full vaccum tube set in the BEE2 mod for their use with the puzzle editor. I saw what you did with the particle effects and logic branches. This is a very beautiful solution but i can't integrate it to make custom vactube rides with pieces in the editor, that would just be impossible. Though, there's no doubt i'll be using this when editing isolated hammer maps!

I had another idea of simulating this gel transportation effect by using kind of an invisible prop_tbeam or something, but that would be difficult and buggy for shure. Do you have any other ideas?

@Kukulkahn - You might also want to explore prop_paint_bomb s. You can say they act like normal prop_physics, so it might be easier for you to use them. However they will not appear as a stream of gel (like in my map) but rather big gel blobs, separet of each other.

@Kukulkahn - Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the maps.

Sorry this took so long (I was away for the last week). Anyways, in Diverity Gels the gel is what you might call "cinematic". It's not really physics at work there: I used a particle effect (blob_curve_blue) which makes the gel look like it's being sucked through the tube. When you turn the laser off the particle stops playing and a real info_paint_sprayer starts, well, to spray paint. This is the only way to make a stream of gel travel through vents.

Hello Kiwi, first of all, amazing maps !! Your vactubes are incredible.
Just one question, I've been trying my own vactubes, but looking all around in hammer only managed to transport physic objects, not gels. It doesn't work with normal trigger_push or similar. I'm becoming crazy to make gels work out with tubes. Can u tell me what kind of brush/entity did u use to make gel transportable in the tubes??

While simple, it is a really good concept. I love the idea of the Pneumatic Diversity Vents transporting Gels and the player, rather than them simply ridding an area of turrets. You're really on to something and I'd love to see you develop it into more advanced maps. Bravo. I wish I had your Hammer skills.

@Roflpwninator - I'm bad at designing difficult puzzles. I like to keep mine short, easy and innovative. However now I am making longer puzzles (as they are really big, in terms of actual size of the chamber, but not too hard if you find creative solutions for them).
Also, Bounce Maneuver has been taken down for the moment because it will be featured in the Back-Stock mod that might be released in the distant future.

A fun short puzzle. The stairs with the two steps were completely necessary =). I liked the extra touches, like the hole behind the water pipe.

For both of your maps, it looks like a lot of work went into the custom effects for such short puzzles - are you planning to make the actual puzzles longer eventually? I have the opposite problem - I made a huge puzzle, but am still learning how to do the custom effects =)

@mood3rd - There are some lines recorded for Portal 2 that were left out, like the voice lines you heard in my map.
About your second question - Diversity Vents are not as simple as other test elements. They are constructed, mainly, by invisible entities which give them the properties you need for your puzzle - In this case I made gel flow through it, you can make (in hammer) the vent to do whatever you'd like...
