I didn't write the UA, (And it's been a long time), so when I'll update the mod, I'll have to get it checked and to see if there's an error. And if the UU, I originally wanted to work similar to the Support Units in Civ6, but it's not really possible in Civ5. I made the unit similar to what it was in the games, although it's really not to much advantageous. (You can say that I ran out of ideas there)
Unfortunately, I don't know when I'll be able to update this mod, I'm pretty busy right now.
The main reason that I didn't have Palutena's Guidence to work with all ranged units (Like Siege units) is to make her more defensive focused.
Do note that I rarely update that Civ idea thread, so things can change alot.
For example, the Wrecker now gets stronger when it's HP is under 33%.
I'm not sure that the final product will be strong enough to play, but not every mod will be a powerhouse if they're unique (ie: Vicevirtuoso's Planeptune lead by Neptune, 200% on shares, but all cities are puppeted until HDD mode (!)). I pretty much make these mods for myself, so I'm not sure if it's too weak or strong.
Either way, I hope you'll enjoy my mods.
"But seriously, you know that OTiger and me are the same guy, right?"
Obviously not. :)
Yeah, I guess Optimus Prime's UA is all right, but the UUs seem weak. One of them is like Ethiopia's, wich I guess is fine, but I don't like that unit either, since I rarely have less cities than someone else--or if I do, not for long. And the second UU is really lame. Great Generals are rare already, and this one's not any stronger and only has one bonus which only works if you aren't at war. I always like civs to have UBs or UIs that are useful longer than UUs.
Megatron's UA, while unique, looks really weak. Only 4 or 5 units might capture captials the whole game; that promotion would need to be really powerful or given for all cities. I guess free courthouses is a decent bonus since it encourages conquest.
I dunno, seemed weak at first glance. They could be interesting. I guess mod stars know what they're doing. ;)
I don't know. I think that OTiger guy's suggestions aren't half bad. You don't see too much Civs that get a bonus from Policy Tree completion or a unique promotion from city conquest.
That guy looks like a future star in mod making in opinion.
But seriously, you know that OTiger and me are the same guy, right?
Transformers, huh? Hope you don't go with OTiger's suggestions for the civ.
Oh, and about the anime Civs thing, I wouldn't get to stressed about it. Personally, I always find the random crazy fictional Civs that come out to be charming (Sometimes), heck some of them might be pretty good. But that's my opinion though.
It's from a franchise that starts with a T.
Or alternatively, you can just search around Civfanatics in the Civ5 Creation & Customization to get the answer. It's not a hard guess.
Not Nintendo or Spongebob? How about you give us a hint? (Please tell me it's not a random anime civ like way too many of the ones on here are).
It looks like I forgot to put the HP for building, so thanks for finding that out.
I also just buffed it to generate +3 Faith instead of 2.
Anyways, about my next mod, It won't be a Nintendo or a Spongebob Civ. I hope I can get it out sometime this month.
I love your civs. What are you planning on next? Dreamland, run by Dedede? Or a Waluigi civilization?
I haven't worked on that, actually. I'm not sure how you make it work like that. If you do, you'll need to work it out with some Lua code and I'm not good at that.
Well anyway, now that I have finally begun & played the first 150 turns as Palutena, I think the UB is amazing for an temple replacement simply because you don't always have the turns to construct an walls so having an temple give some defensive bonus alongside the faith & whatever religion effect you (may of) have applied simply help save turns overwise wasted on constructing (sometime meaningless) walls/caste/etc.
Well I think should go before my comment take up the page but just one question:
When I hover over the science amount, all it show is how much science is obtain from cities & trade routes & I'm wondering what one of these categories you have the faith-science be marked as?
I'm not great at explaining things, but there are guides out there on how to make a Civ.
CivFanatics [forums.civfanatics.com] has tons of guides and tutorials on making Civs.
There's also Kael's Modding Guide to Civ5 (Google that), but's outdated.
And there's also Keniisu's channel, which has some modding tutorials.
I think there's more out there, though. But I hope this helps!
I fixed it, I didn't copy the "Art"-folder, now everything works fine and I like this mod a lot ^^
Hmmm... That's strange. It works for me.
Okay, thanks, I finally managed to unizp it, but now the game wasn't able to load the textures of Palutena :/
No, it's civ5mod not a folder, it's a file type. You can unzip it with a program like WinRar.
Again, right click on the civ5mod file and go to Properties. Look for "Opens with" and click on the Change button. Find and select the unzipping program you use. And there, you can unzip it.
yep. just realized that lol
got it to work, thanks!!
Is it in a civ5mod file in the Mods folder? You can unzip it from there.

Yeah it was a civ5mod file. Didn't realise i had to unzip it. Thanks for the quick reply.
Is it showing up as a .civ5mod file? You can unzip with some unzipping program like Winrar.
I guess I'll be thinking about this, then.
However it's your call on what to do
Also I notice there some spelling errors in the civilipedia entries. But beside from those issues I listed, we have an nice religion-focus civ here. Keep up the good work
