I think I know somebody who got put on a list for moisturating in public
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 22 Sep @ 3:04am
Effectiveness and Productivity increase speed and amount of Ice produced, power module doesn't do anything iirc
legendary kotus 21 Sep @ 2:01pm
How to use them
legendary kotus 21 Sep @ 2:01pm
Why are there 2 upgrade spots on this machine?
Revok Farthis 16 Sep @ 5:20am
tbh, that would be a funny April Fools prank; change the name for a day, include it in the patch notes
TheHellKat 16 Sep @ 5:08am
Sounds good Slowpoke, honestly I don't particularly care what its called, as long as it works :p was just explaining the origins of the name.
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 16 Sep @ 2:10am
How about "Vapor Moisturator" guys
Felyne Honkers (Jake) 15 Sep @ 10:25am
That sounds fun. I think we should call it the dehumidifier, because really that's what it is.
Revok Farthis 15 Sep @ 8:57am
Oh, it's been a few years, are we starting up the "Well I think it should be called X" crusades again?
TheHellKat 14 Sep @ 2:14pm
@Symax the name is a star wars reference to the moisture farm Luke grew up on, they were called moisture vaporators, I guess because they pull moisture vapor from the air.
ThirtyMileSniper 14 Sep @ 9:52am
Does this work in a stations pressurised interior?
Symax 14 Sep @ 8:39am
I think a more appropriate name would be Moisture Condensor as Moisture Vaporator leads me to believe this would use ice to create a moist atmosphere for plants.
crowbarzero 11 Sep @ 8:06pm
Are there density limitations like the wind turbines?
Ediros 4 Sep @ 8:09am
This will be necessary with new survival update. Since plants use water and you don't get it back, it's obvious we need a way to recover ice/water
Shiono_the_Shade 26 Jun @ 10:46pm
Dumb Question but since I know this produces enough with one or two for most Air-tight Bases to function.
How many of these would be needed to single-handedly provide enough ice for 1 Hydrogen Engine? I feel like I am reading gibberish sometimes looking at the SE wiki for power blocks.
Felyne Honkers (Jake) 29 May @ 11:23am
Thanks boss :mhwgood:
Anarch Cassius  [author] 28 May @ 10:48pm
Probably has, but yes since Update 8 you can edit the ice produced and power consumed in MoistureVaporator.cfg in your world save's Storage\709975763.sbm_Vaporator directory.
Felyne Honkers (Jake) 28 May @ 4:55pm
Sorry if this was already answered at some point, but is there a way to modify how much it produces for balancing purposes?
CraftTJohnson 12 Dec, 2024 @ 8:28pm
Pretty good, but I haven't had a chance to try it in multiplayer, so I look forward to community feedback. I also updated it to cache the last planet used until you take it to space, and made the "cache cubes" for movement 10m. Try it out! it's under the same license if you want to move any code to your mod :D
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 12 Dec, 2024 @ 12:21am
@CraftJohnson hey good job with that one! How is the performance?
CraftTJohnson 11 Dec, 2024 @ 11:49am
Thought ya'll should know I published a version that is designed for mobile grids and should still be pretty efficient: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3382681917
It credits back here under the same license. Have fun.
Zelvik333 18 Nov, 2024 @ 8:02pm
Been using this very simple mod for years now... It still works!! 11/18/2024
ufoundwaldo42 5 Nov, 2024 @ 8:47am
This threw an error when I loaded it. Just an fyi.
Phistandantilus 20 Jul, 2024 @ 9:31pm
I've added this to a scrapyard modpack, but its not showing up anywhere in my block menu. do you reckon its a load order issue, or is there any known conflicts?
Revok Farthis 18 Jul, 2024 @ 7:50am
@Dragon-Raptor:
It was done specifically because trying to have it work on mobile grids caused problems.
You're asking them to break the mod.
Dragon-Raptor 18 Jul, 2024 @ 1:46am
@Revok Farthis: <deadpan Look> I know. I read that.

I was asking if it was possible to have the same logic as Wind Turbines added. I suggested the toggle/config option to allow for player preference. Admittedly, my situation was an edge case, but I suspect others may also be interested...
Revok Farthis 19 Jun, 2024 @ 10:24am
@Dragon-Raptor, From the description:
"UPDATE 8

- Performance overhaul by Menos

Performance upgrade inroduces some changes to the way this block works:

- Vaporator can only work on static grids (grids that are a Station)."
Dragon-Raptor 19 Jun, 2024 @ 4:57am
Such a useful block; been subbed for years now. Certainly one I consider a must have on worlds without abundent Ice.

One thing I'd like to suggest: Make it work on large grids that are mag-locked to voxels, like wind turbines. Currently working on a LG rover on Pertam in a Salvage Prefered, no-fixed-base play-through, but these refuse to work...

Could even have it as a config file toggle... maybe...
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 14 Apr, 2024 @ 5:49am
Great, thank you for confirming
Deapri 14 Apr, 2024 @ 5:42am
The block is behaving as expected now, red emissive when not powered and the animation is not playing, nor is it providing ice when it should not be. So, it is now behaving as a powered block would be expected to. ice is incrementing only when on a planet in sufficient atmosphere on a static grid and with power, while in good repair.
Deapri 14 Apr, 2024 @ 5:25am
ahh, certainly.
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 14 Apr, 2024 @ 5:23am
@Deapri I have uploaded the fix, please check
Deapri 5 Apr, 2024 @ 3:27am
Oh, no there is no need to rush it, I was just checking up, you do you...
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 5 Apr, 2024 @ 3:18am
@Deapri sorry for waiting, I have yet to set things up under proton to update the mod and I really don't have much time for this until mid april, but I will try my best to upload it asap
Deapri 5 Apr, 2024 @ 2:58am
@SlowpokeFarm I haven't seen an update for this yet so was wondering if you're having trouble and if maybe there is something to be done to lend assistance?
Revok Farthis 27 Mar, 2024 @ 5:18am
Good lord... have I really been using this mod for 8 years?
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 27 Mar, 2024 @ 3:13am
@Deapri sure, I didn't want you to perceive it as a responsibility. Thanks for the fix. I can also understand the reasoning of not being involved. I have created this mod 8 years ago when life was different from today, but people still expect you to update it when it breaks.
Deapri 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:49am
That was more abrasive than I intended, I have decided in modding this time round to not be too involved and helping where I can without being in the light. I am glad I was able to help here as I really do like this mod, but I don't really want credit, particularly not for something as simple as adding a single logic check. I very much appreciate the offer and respectfully decline.
Deapri 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:42am
No, but I am glad to help when I have time.
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:40am
@Deapri thank you. I will merge it soon and try to upload it this week.

Would you like to be added as a contributor to the repo and as a co-author to this mod?
Deapri 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:36am
@SlowpokeFarm Submitted sorry that took so long been a very long time since I used github.
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:14am
@Deapri please send me a PR here https://github.com/slowpokefarm/se-block-vaporator

I will merge it and upload if the upload works under Proton.
Deapri 27 Mar, 2024 @ 1:34am
I finally had some time to look into this @Slowpokefarm I will do some consistency testing as it seems too easy, but the issues seem to have resolved simply by putting an isworking check in with the enable check... that's the only change I made... and in single player the device appears to be working as intended...
Deapri 21 Jan, 2024 @ 5:22am
alright.
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 21 Jan, 2024 @ 4:38am
This is a known issue, but no chance for me to investigate so far, I don't have a Windows PC at the moment.
Deapri 20 Jan, 2024 @ 7:13pm
Atmosphere and stationary grid states are working correctly, seems condition and power supply are not however.
Deapri 20 Jan, 2024 @ 7:01pm
So, an odd thing happened, when adjusting the placement of a stage 1 frame for a vaperator, ice fall out of the unbuilt vaperator when ground down... so umm possibly running the production script regardless of build stage/power... I have not tested it in a vacuum yet.
SlowpokeFarm  [author] 9 Jan, 2024 @ 6:01am
I guess I could do it. Will investigate that option. Also I'll take a look at the exterior power issue.
Hethan757 3 Jan, 2024 @ 10:06am
Could you upload this on mod.io so we can use it on xbox
Deapri 28 Dec, 2023 @ 5:22am
Ghost of Mildred Monday: Yeah tested it too, seems not to require exterior power not intentional by the documentation.
