Now I could reproduce the problem. It seems that with this new LOD support, it is required to have the Model Detail option set to High, otherwise only the low quality model will be displayed.
I'll consider adding a more detailed LOD model with the next update.
Not sure how, I'm new to Steam.
The vague shape and black wheels you're describing sound like the LOD model, but it shouldn't be visible until you get pretty far away from the car. Could you please post a screenshot of it?
I'll see what I can do when I have time.
The lack of side markers and square running lights, among other things, make it a 1967.
