No worries man. I Hope they do you some good. I Never did get around to building Camera Drones, How-to Videos or the like for survival, but i'm sure you'll put those engineering talents to good use! Have Fun!

I Do. I Honestly could not tell you the last time i had the Chance to Play this game, and as such a lot of the recent updates and changes have probably made a few of the parts and pieces used in these fairly obsolete. I Never used any mods, but the Changes to the base game have probably forced a few of the old blocks from older projects out of the picture.

This was a brilliant idea, and extremely well done. One question though: When I paste some of the parts I get a warning message that some of the blocks aren't available in my world. Any idea why?

its official, these are my favorite things ever, ive build one of the best stations iv ever seen altho one sugfestion, I drone capital ship, basiclly as ship that can be remotely operated or manually operated, and to add extra operation range have it drop satalites with antennas, just a suggestion, I can make a shell for you if you want to make it cause im not good with stuff like ship systems.

you can make a defence section so it can withstand attacks or atleast defend it while everyone got to the escape pods

Try this: On either end of every section, under the merge block, is a single conveyor pipe. Try replacing that Pipe with a Connector Unit, and setting the Connector Strength to 1%. This will allow you to connect two sections without the need to be dead on the money for the Merge blocks or Perfectly Straight to eachother. Once the Units have linked via the Connectors there should be an ever so small gap between the units. This space will allow you to use a single Gyro to Rotate one of the units until the Merge block links them and seals the space between the units. Once this done, you can simply reclaim your Gyro, and connectors for other projects.

Oh my Friend It twas not my Script. But The Script itself WILL work for large ships, you would simply need:

1)Enough Single Direction Hydrogen Thusters to counter Gravity for the Ships Mass
2)The Ingredients on the Script (Things like a Control Block Ect. Ect)
3)And a Crap ton of Luck My Friend haha.

The Script works really well, but its drop location is based on a Single Block (The Control Block) so you'll probably see a bit of Damage from the landing. The script should be on the Escape Pods Page. If Not i'll post it ASAP.

Kiyashi I made one of your stations in orbit over the earth like planet and when it attacked and got de orbited but it took enough of a beatting for me and my friends to make it to the escape pods before it de orbited and I love the pods since they dont just become butter on landing they become like actual escape pods I wish you could make that script for large ships

in another example, If you needed a Shipyard to build larger ships, the EX-Shipyard + Power Station + 2 Large Docks & A Solar Cap could turn into a small Planet Orbiting Shipyard for production. Using Cargo ships to Offload Materials to produce ships Via the Large Ships docks. Thats really why i made it Modular, it's really up to you! Ask me if you need anything else!

But the station dosnt have to get super large, They were designed wit functionallity in mind. Maybe you found a good asteroid to mine. Power Station + Factory Unit + Storage Unit + Jump Cap would let you make a Mobile Refining Station for Asteroid to Asteroid mining. Fill the available end caps with things like Solar Caps to help in power Generation.

Oh i almost forgot. Recommended Modules to start with would be either the Command Unit, or the Power station. These sections house Oxygen, power, and the Airlock door Program to all units.

And Lastly, I Do No Build with mods, your more than welcome to Create your very own Nanite Factory! I can Give you the Blueprint for the Airlocks Start that i use. All you would have to do it Paste it into an open world and Build off of it. I know this wasnt very helpful, and if you understand the projector system better than I, please let me know. I've had a Terran Mining Tunnel Project on hold indefinately ever since they changed the projectors spawn-ins.

Third off, I also have no idea how the game directs its initial spawn ins. That being said if you want to block them together in creative, Paste it to open world, then CTRL+X Cut it on the merge Blocks themselves. Paste directly to a Merge Block on another part of the station to Link them up.

Second off, each section has a built in Merge Block on each exit, conneting this to a base Merge Block will allow you to actually build the units in free space in a survival game. Moving them is another matter totally. I Suggest using the Herc Tug From CDI Drones Line-up to move each unit into place. Once the Merge Block connects with a Merge block from the station, the whole Grid seals itself together, Locking that unit in place indefinately. Utilizing Camera Drones would probably be a good move, as the Herc is non-pilotable and requires remote camera Operation. Using a Cam Drone setup above the units will help with Visual orientation.

Well now thats a whole slew of problems haha. Firstly, I honestly have no idea how projectors work these days, They used to align using Grid Pivots, but after ~X~ Update they now Do not. I Am unsure how to align them properly anymore because of this.

One more question, regarding merging two modules together. Ive been messing around Creative and its not possible to CTRL V directly, it nees to be one block away.

From the power start module, i can just fly closer, but what about other modules, when the station gets bigger... and Im thining on survival...

hello and good job.

I am kind of new in SE but have been playing around for some time offline single survivor and using lots of projectors and blueprints...

Can u make a guide to explain how to create and unite the modules together using projectors? Not explaining how to use projectors itself, please dont confuse, i meant the appropriate way to use them for the modules ?

Can u also post some pics of the whole thing using every module ?

At one point i also attempted to build a Defensive Platform that held a Larger Defensive Drone/Platform. But the Drone Became too large trying to make it a worthy defensive unit. I Am going to attempt a Remote connected exterior Rocket/Railgun setup and see how it turns out.

On another note you can add your own defensive turrets to all units by simply taking out the block on top between the Airlock doors on any Unit. There is a 6-way conveyer there, Simply place another 6-way conveyor and then place any turret of your Choice ontop of it. Not only is it easy (3 block Step) but all turrets will be fed through the main conveyor lines.

It Is slowly being worked on. I play this in my Serious down time. Pretty much when i have nothing else to do. Some of the previous ideas i had for more military sections were halted or scrapped due to the idea becoming to Bulky or just simply not working. The project i'm working on is a Small-Ships Maintenance Hanger that can be Pressurized. After that i Shall be (Once again) Attemping an idea i had for a Large Cruise Missile Dock/Launch Bay.

I Didnt Consider the SUV. But thats a Great Idea. Also i havent started it yet, however i do have plans to create an Obital Strike Platform for the Modular Stations. If your Interested in my To-do list:

-Planetary Landing Dock with Lander
-Orbital Launch Platform 4-8 Dockings
-Turret Caps
-Escape Pods
-Crew Quarters (3 Variants)
-Grinder Sectional
-Drone Drydock
-Small Ships Warp Detachable (Jumpdrive Ring for 4 Man Squadrons)
-Assembler Bay -> Cargo Hold + Sorter
-Multi-Use Module With 4-6 "Mini" Modular Pods (Also attachable Via Mergers)
Mini Pods would include: Single Refinery, Assemblers, Cargo Space, Oxy production, Power Production, Hydrogen Storage, etc.
-Armed Detachable Centurion Platform for Added Station Defence. This unit will (Should) Have the ability to detach and roam (Patrol, Once it works) or Stay Static at certain points for defence.

I Havent Used Hydrogen Thrusters in any of the Builds thus far. Main Reason is i primarily use Hydrogen for Atmospheric Entry/Exit, and i like to have Stores of it on hand. Since the Stations (Should) Never Enter atmospheric conditions, Solar panels will supply a fair amount of the power required for minor station Adjustments needed by standard Ion thrust. Also The Drones are Ion as they only Function on Battery Power, a Station will be required to Replenish their Power Supplies while Docked. (Or Perhaps a Large Vessel if you were out mining away from home)
I Havent Yet but I Am in the middle of a Hydro Storage Bay for the Stations. I Will probably Release it with the Lander i am working on.

Assemblers are built into the Refinery Module itself. But i suppose i could develop a module for Extra Assemblers. I May even have the perfect platform to start with for that :)

Sure i can do that. But for now while you wait, on all of the sections where the airlock Rings on the outside meet the spine on the top have 6-way connectors under those blocks. Simply Remove those Cross-Blocks and place another 6-way conveyor or a small Cargo Container in that location and Defence Turrents can be placed on top of any Section. Same goes for the underside, simply remove the Blue plate that covers the 6-way connector and most units can house lower turrets as well using this method.

Alright Deathray. As Mentioned i have reset all of the Current sections Grid Pivots and Orientations. Each Section Should Spawn 1 block Away from a Projector Directly in line with the Merge Block (Or one of in the case of multiple Entrances). There are two special sides on a projector, and the way they are setup is + is the "Top" and the - is facing away from the desired projection spawn location.

Yeah about that. I kind of build sporadically and skip back and forth on sections using old sections instead of making new blocks so the grid pivots are all out of whack. Its an issue I need to go over and correct in the near future. Realigning the pivots should be easy enough.

For some reason, the projections allways appear a couple 100m away from the actual projector (atleast the power station STARTER does) makes it kinda hard to build. Fantastic set aside from that one little issue.

I Love it haha. It's Crazy how similar they are, We almost have the same Colour Scheme too. As Far as New Modules for these Modular Stations of ours, i Would love to Brain storm new add-ons. I havent taken it Further than this for the moment as i am already under constant construction of the list i already have. Although i bet there would be a ton of things i havent even though of yet. I May also do a Reconstruction of the Elevators using the 4-way X-Sectionals... Mainly because i dont like the Telephone look of the Current ones. We'll see how far i get. As For Trying them out:

It's a Basic Construct World Example. That way you wont have to load all of these up individually. Just a Thought.
