It works perfectly with LWotC + some 200 mods.

I report: the mod breaks the camera — you can't see the interior of the buildings, but only the roofs. (WOTC)

Just wanted to confirm this works with WOTC. Enabled this in the middle of my current campaign because I forgot I had it downloaded but left unticked (D'oh!).

So what aspect ratio does the game default to? I'm trying to figure out who is the mod primarily meant for.

@DAOWAce
Thanks, I'll just paste your quote in the description if you don't mind :P

Should add a note to the description telling people with widescreen monitors to adjust the FoV scaling method. ie; XComEngine.ini

[Engine.LocalPlayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

4:3, 5:4, 16:10 use X.
16:9, 21:9, multi-monitor use Y.

Basically, most people should have it as I listed it, as over 80% of Steam gamers use a 16:9 monitor. Firaxis never bothered to change this, hurting almost everybody and especially us Ultrawide users.

Also, alternatively to this mod, you can add -allowconsole to the launch flags and just change your FoV manually with the FOV command; though it probably won't save between missions.

I'm enjoying this mod and I'm also enjoying the cat used for the preview :D

Hey Grimy... I sent you a friend request. I have an idea for a mod I'd like to pitch to you and see if you could do it. I don't know the know how but feel you could pull it off... If interested bud :)

You need to install this mod if you're like me and you keep walking into overwatchers (siiiiigh).

@aina
no, just tactical

Thank you!

Hey man, does this increase FoV on the strategy layer as well?
krj12 (Ken) 2 Jun, 2016 @ 4:13am
Tried that mod, messed with a few of the INIs, still cant get a decent zoom in shot.
marshmallow justice 1 Jun, 2016 @ 7:55pm
@krj12
is that not the already existing Free Camera Rotation by Long War Studios? Hold alt in game.
krj12 (Ken) 1 Jun, 2016 @ 7:31pm
What I'd like in this vein, is a mod that would let me zoom in on my soldiers on the battlefield, then pan or rotate, for the purpose of taking screenshots .... right now you have to hope for an action screen shot that isnt eclipsed by a wall or object, and then hope you can click F12 at the right moment. Is that even possible to implement?
GrimyBunyip  [author] 1 Jun, 2016 @ 5:14pm
@shadow79
You're probably right, judging by the current adoption rate.
Let's see if 15 isn't a bit more reasonable.
MrShadow 1 Jun, 2016 @ 4:58pm
Nice concept for those that want to see more of the map, but I can't stand all the soldiers and enemy looking so small.
GrimyBunyip  [author] 1 Jun, 2016 @ 4:40pm
@Xeraphale
I don't think it would interact in any bad way, but only one way to know for sure :)
GrimyBunyip  [author] 1 Jun, 2016 @ 4:40pm
@meyerik
Because it's angle in every direction, not just left and right. Think a cone.
meyerik 1 Jun, 2016 @ 4:38pm
I know I'm going to sound stupid, but it doesnt look "wider", it just looks zoomed-out?
Xeraphale 1 Jun, 2016 @ 4:35pm
Any idea how this might interact with the widescreen fix mod? I'm a weirdo with a 3440x1440 monitor.
