Maybe not make this quest appear on grassland, as that is Hollows territory which would not make sense for an elf couple to be hanging out in.

Nope, it should be able to trigger at any forrest, barrens, grassland or swamp island

Right, I ran into it just now, it was an elven homeland forest island. Is that the prerequisite?

I am having trouble to get it started aswell. Are there any other conditions needed besides visiting a forest, grassland or swamp?

It's automatically added to your game, it can just take a while before you encounter this.

haha just encountered this one on Elf homelands, enjoyed to rescue a fellow Elf Bard from the Everguards! well done
