yeah half the fun of space hulks is the random xeno/deamon goodies inside. Well next to the acual relics that is.

Some one needs to make a good space hulk scenario, but that probably won't happen until NPC implementation.

@Rogue xD ...Maybe i will?^^
RogueDelta 1 Jun, 2016 @ 5:34pm
So ... Next build for you should be a 100,000 block space hulk, right?

@Leviathan & @ Egorkaskader, thanks for all the links and info. So it seems that some Macrocannons are ballistic weapons that fire massive shells, just not railguns like I originally thought.

Ok I'll keep my build as it is with the 4x Big Berthas and 10x Little John cannons as broadside guns from the "Battle Cannon and Turrets (DX11) mod". Unfortunately I'm no modder.. so will use what I can get and leave the modding work to people with more skill.

Standart macrocannons fire gigantic shells, but I can't recall how exactly, although fairly sure they're not railgun because Imperium lost that technology. Plasma macros fire balls of superheated plasma that dissipates eventually, but they are much easier to aim and do a LOT more damage.

Here i found something: http://forum.battlefleetgothic-armada.com/viewtopic.php?t=230 okay looks like the "Plasma-Macros" are Plasma-Projectors (Energy-Weapon) or theyre Macros (Railcannon) Sources speaking from 2 different Weapon-Types but giving the Fact that Plasma-Projectors are not commonly used by newer Vessels, they should be Railcannon-Type So BFGA is a liar! xD

@Squirejj Very good Questiton, i'm also not clued up in details in 40k i just played Battlefleet Gothic Armada and loved that design too ^.^ Well what i know is that the Broadside-Cannons are Plasma-Macro-Cannons. So i guess that they're a sort of Energy-Hybrid-Weapons. Railcannon with Plasma? ...Maybe and the Weapons on the Top are in Original Lance-Batterys, Sort of a powerful Lasercannon. If you are a modder you could design something fitting your taste, but if you not a Modder: Keep searching for Compromises :-/

Awesome ship! Stupid question, I've always loved the look of 40k ships, but aren't to clued up on the armament on these beasts , and everywhere I hear people talk about the Macrocannons. All I know is that they are the broadside cannons, but some sources say that they are energy weapons others say that they are high velocity rail-gun type weapons. Which is it? I'm building a 40K ship and I just used the Big Bertha Cannons from the Battle Cannon and Turrets (DX11) mod.

Oh, okay, it's just that they seem like broadside gatling mounts on screenshots
Stalin_Duck 31 May, 2016 @ 5:35am
If i learn how to make a mod I would make right away
Leviathan  [author] 31 May, 2016 @ 4:44am
@Egor i didn't replacce them with Gatlings they are Single-Barrel-900mm-Cannons (Battle Cannons and Turrets - Mod) Gattlings are placed here an there to protect from meteors and missiles.

@Stalin If the scale would fit i would add them right away ^.^
Stalin_Duck 31 May, 2016 @ 4:25am
Amazing if only there was a macrocannon mod.
EgorKaskader 31 May, 2016 @ 3:06am
One has to ask, why did you replace plasma macros with gatlings?
Leviathan  [author] 30 May, 2016 @ 10:03am
@ Grenadier Both Battleships have fought in the Gothic War.

Cardinal Boras - A Retribution-class Battleship which fought in the Gothic War, the Cardinal Boras is known to have led the ill-starred exploration fleet of Rogue Trader Ventunius into the northern rim and was one of only five ships to return. Subsequently it fought at the Battle of Callavell, Arnot's Landing and Korsk, where its bombardment forced the capitulation of the rebellious Regime of Iron. The Cardinal Boras is well-travelled vessel and has been assigned to eighteen different sector fleets over the past four millennia. It was finally assigned to the Gothic Sector over four hundred years ago.

is this ships name a refrace to a certain commander of a relic obsessed chapter?
EgorKaskader 30 May, 2016 @ 5:43am
Wow, this is AWESOME!
