Please could you make a Dwarf Nerf mod?

As a fan of the lore, I really hate them having a good chance of stomping all over the Greenskins. They are supposed to be a doomed and dwindling race, albeit with very strong defenses.

I'd like to see them become about 20-25% less powerful, somehow. Thanks.

I'll be posting a version of this in a few moments, called Reduced Tower Range. Artillery tower range reduced to 300; small arms tower range reduced to 150.

@geneticsman, I have done so. Please let me know if you need help, or you can add me to steam and I can walk you through it. I plan on reinstalling the game when I can (probably when elves come out), but this should help for now.

Hi guys, I don't have the hard drive space to redownload the game ATM...
For some reason steam workshop won't let me update it without the game installed. I'm sorry.
I can post a guide on how to make this mod yourself (it's very easy).

Hello Afrochad, can you try running the mod even if it is out of date? If it doesn't work (you need to check the box that says enable out of date mods), I will reinstall the game and update it.

(cont in next comment) However if you really want to pay for all three upgrades to the walls, you will get a fortress that cannot be shot at from out of their range. This creates meaningful choice for the player (do I bring artillery at all since it can only knock a couple of holes in the walls, do I shoot the towers first and let my guys climb the walls manually, or do I build some seige towers and let my artillery shoot the towers instead of the walls) For minor settlements make the range of the walls be the same as teir two walls for a major settlement since a small settlement shouldn't ever be the best defended settlement.

This would make it so that your artillery isn't super useless unless you're cheesing the AI (because everyone has been shot to shit by the time you blow a hole in the wall or blow up a tower, or you have already gotten to the walls and have started climbing them), but also make it so that you have to be careful how you use your ammunition since the walls and towers will be tougher to kill.

@LADYBABYMETAL ah okay, well the simplified version of the mod idea I had was to slightly increase tower damage accross all types of ammunition, increase the defensive stats of towers and walls, and to make the range scale with the level of upgrades to the defenses you've made. Walls with no defenses will be able to be shot at with impunity by any artillery piece, level 1 walls will outrange all low range artillery like the Organ Gun, etc., level 2 walls will outrange all but the super long range artillery like the Great Cannon, Grudge Thrower, etc., and level 3 walls be covering the whole map. This mod was really easy to make, I don't know the advanced modding techniques for games past Shogun 2, so I don't think I'll be much help.

Hey man, I have been trying to find someone to talk about making a mod to help improve sieges in this game that involves tower range changes among a few other things. Do you think you'd have time to hear my ideas out or are you done making mods? I'm not sure I have the know-how or the time to do it myself or I would.

The .pack file caused my computer to crash. Thankfuly I found a mod that lowers the HP of walls and towers, so i wont be using your mod. Thank you for trying to help tho. *bows*

I know that probably the mod, though marked as obsolete, works with the new patch.

It is true, but many people, like myself, have problems with the game launcher. You can read about these problems in various forums. These problems prevent us sort the mods. And also prevent can check the checkbox to use obsolete mods. To avoid that, the mod must be uploaded to the workshop.

It's sad, but it is. At least until CA fix this problem.

Hey i just discovered the Mod and looked of course over the pack File with PFM.

You used the Assembly Kit and added also another bunch of Projectile Values, that are not needed.

To make a Mod like this highly compatible and non-crashing with the PFM, you just need to rename the Name from data_core to whatever you like.

This Way you can add only needed Tables/Values.

Alright, another update. This time I re-made the mod completely using the official tools. This means it won't be compatible with other mods that change projectiles, until I can figure out why using PFM causes crashes. Please let me know if it works. Thanks for all the reports up till now.

Hi Ladybaby. Wonderful mod! Uprated and favorited. I have a request I'd normally do myself but I am recovering from pancreatitus and pneumoina. I was wondering if you could make a second version of this where Tower Range is just nerfed by 200 yards, but their projectile damage is also nerfed by ~25%. For my games this would create the perfect balance for siege maps that would feel very fair. Thanks!
