You don't HAVE to catch the cube at the end, unless this is unintended.

Thanks for your feedback Inspirata, look at my comment on Speedy Deterioration for my general comment :)

One more thing: it's been recommended that the fizzlers be independent fields (rather than one great big field) that flash independently when the player fires a portal at them. It's prettier and more accurate.

I noticed the hard light bridge was not necessary at all in the second room (you should use the button to turn off the excursion funnel instead). Also, if you want to avoid the alternate solution that Cyfun found, try using the button to turn on the funnel instead of turning it off (although I actually like the alternate solution because it uses less porals than the intended solution and is in fact not harder than the intended solution!).

Very nice! It was just the right level of difficulty, challenging, but awesome once you figure it out!

Fantastic, really makes you think and is 100% FUN. 9.5/10

A real thinker. Thanks for that. I invite you to play my latest chamber. It's not cerebral like this one, more of an adventure. Thanks for your work.

That is pretty cruel at the end if you miss the catch!

Nice map, did enjoy it. thumbs up

A good map: fun and tricky. Love it !

Great map overall, although having to place the redirection cube suspended by the funnel/bridge combo at just the right angle for the laser to hit was a bit bothersome, took a few tries

@ Cyfun, yes that wasn't the intended method, the proper way is much easier actually! I will upload a play-through video when I get a moment :)

@Final_Nemesis Probably. I wasn't sure how to get the ball past the big fizzler and into the second room, so I went into the second room, shot a portal through the window to over behind the small fizzler where the funnel hits the wall, then I shot a portal in the white space on the floor and hopped through. Then I just stood kind of next to the small fizzler and grabbed at the ball before it disintegrated.

Devious. A perfect blend between the cerebral challenges (figuring out what to do) and execution. Neither is too difficult, and neither is too easy. It feels like something I'd see in the main campaign.

@ Cyfun, can you be more specific, I'm not sure exactly where you are referencing. It sounds like you may have found an alternative method.

Great map. Was kind of awkward having to get in front of that fizzler in the funnel to grab the cube, though.
Tyranophallus Rex 13 May, 2012 @ 1:02pm
I liked it a lot. Difficult, but not too difficult. I didn't mind having to redo the last room, it was my mistake to not notice I the fizzler behind me. I saw it, and I forgot... my bad. But once you know how to get through, redoing it to get it right was not hard or frustrating. Good chamber.

Great map, very good puzzles!

The only frustrating part for me was at the very end. My cube flew through a portal and hit the field making me restart the entire process. In my opinion, it would be nice if there was someway to automate the first part of the test once it gets completed so it doesn't have to be done over.
