I was just confused about your statement^^
The FN version (while still a little durty) of this skin still looks way cleaner than the BS one - staying true to what the wear off definition mean. People usually think that a clean and new look is more expensive (I assume FN has an additionally lower drop chance as well - not sure though) Would actually be a funny thing if the BS ranks more valuable than the FN on this one.
But ruining the marked? A single PP-Bizon skin? :D
I can safely say that will never be the case^^
not sure how exactly it should ruin the market though.
thank you very much I really appeciate it and I am happy you actually checked out the WIP of this skin =)
Okay, I get what you're going for and thats actually really cool! I saw that you were going for the X-wing design and I personally love the design of the X-wing; I hadn't realised that you were adding the worn and dirty bits to remain parallel with the theme of the X-wing. I really like the way you've made it wear. I looked at your thread of your progression and I really like the way it turned out. I want it. I'd be really happy if you'd make this skin for other guns as well. Obviously it can't be extremely similar due to the unique storage of ammo on this gun. But even so, I would be very happy. You've done an outstanding job and I really hope yours makes it. Its beautiful. Like really.
First thank you for your comment!
Yea I absolutely understand that point. However from an artist point of view I based this weapon on parts of the original STAR WARS X-Wing design and one of the nice details of the film was that the stuff the rebels had was worren off - basically used old stuff - compared to the shiny factory new Empire things. It boils down to basic visual story telling: evil guys own good new stuff vs good guys have to fight with what they have left.
to sum it up: The weapon design is a combination of the storm trooper black + white scheme and the X-Wing space ship design - and should feel 70`s - 80`s science fictionish (as requested for the constes) all combined with the ALIEN "metal melting blood thingy". The weapon at all states should feel like it could belong into both franchise.

yea this wear off part was a child of the progress of making this skin. The corrosion first was intended to show as black goo over all - some people pointed out it had too much detail so the solution was to make the ALIEN part of the skin visible in the wear off.
