Not so much a puzzle as it is an agility course. Didn't have to think much to figure out what to do. The hard part was just to do it. I did manage to get to the end. I won't say I'm a fan of chambers focusing more on the execution than the figuring stuff out. Nonetheless I enjoyed the challenge and I think it lives somewhat up to its name. It is, however, not really a difficult puzzle.

It's nice that there is a viewing room where you can see the goo pit. But once you get a portal on the wall in the second room so you fall back down and fly out in the second room, there is no way in hell to shoot 2 portals on the wall before you hit it and fall to your death in the goo. You have less than a second before you slam into that wall and fall in the goo. That's only hard because its cheap as hell.

That timer needs to be at least 5 seconds longer

Creating a tightly-timed and reflex-based puzzles doesn't make it 'expert'. There's some people who enjoy this kind of puzzle - atheltic rather than cognitive skill - but it's not what Portal is about. For me, it was hard for the wrong reasons, but I'm sure there's an audience that would love this kind of puzzle.

On a related note, don't forget there are people who play this game with controllers, and pulling off athletics like this is even harder for them.

To much emphisy on execution as opose to thinking about solution.
All in all terrible map.

An "Expert" portal player is a good thinker, a fool could solve this map. It's a Reflex map with zero mind capacity required

Very neat! Required a lot of reflexes and some momentum knowledge. Absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for input. I added a viewing room of the room so people can see the danger. I'll keep in mind everyones comments for future maps

I agree, SkipSandwich said it almost exaclty how I would. An expert map should require you to do really clever things, not throw you in goo unexpectedly.

There's a difference between "expert" and "twitchy, cheap deaths." I shouldn't have to die and pause over and over just to figure the solution out. Some really interesting design ruined by the need to be annoying to add false difficulty.

Make it so we can see that goo pit from the button. I know you were going for a suprise, and surprise me it did, but it was a bit disheartening. Very satisfying when I got through the first puzzle without touching ground once though.

I'd probably advise against suprise certain death. It's bad game design. But otherwise the other aspects of the level were good.

Thanks for the input, I modified it so you must use the light bridge now

Pretty nice. Not incredibly difficult though. Also I'm assuming the light bridge was just for decoration.
