Yeah it should continue to work unless you move the tower, higher or lower. It works off of the GPS.

Get in one of the control seats and select the autopilot for Remote Control (UP) or (DOWN). Copy the tower and car to a blueprint, put a projector block (suggested due to lag) and build it on any planet to the height needed.

I think it's an issue with the autopilot near the planet. I haven't been able to fix it.

Coming down on auto, the car gets stuck about 145m up and then just bounces, done that 2 out of 3 times, works fine on manual

Ender_Storm900, make sure the elevator car is powered up and that maglev rails are not "locked." The maglev rails can only be controlled from from the actual tower grid. If the rails are locked, then they will be green, make sure they're yellow.

Works fine for me, although I don't have the speed mod, so it takes longer, goes up in both manual and auto pilot
