yeah so im sure im not the only one who has this issue. To anyone who bought the trail and can't see it in character selection - all you need to do is restart your game !

Hey Saint, I can see it in your inventory so it should be ready to go. You'll find the menu for selecting your trail just above the buttons for selecting your runner or skin before readying up in a match.

:D I'm not really expecting this to get in but it seems to be reasonably well recieved anyway, which is a nice surprise.

Well as far as teaching you how to do it, I personally just sat down and played with the editor for a while, trying this and that. I happened upon the settings that made the spikey appearence. It gave me this idea, and it was a bunch of tweaking and fiddling until I got it to where I liked it.

You need to be able to tell when something works visually, and while this item is not my best, it does work to some extent. This comes with practice I reckon, and you need to be able to step back and see what works and what doesn't. If you're interested, give it a go and start practicing making stuff like this! I made my profile picture for example, it's little things that help you get better. Don't expect amazing results at first, and just have fun with it!

I'm no expert though, this is how I personally made it and I'm not sure if this is how many people do it or not...

Unfortunately you can't apply these in-game unless it's accepted by the developers, for which it needs the votes etc. I believe it's only available for purchase after this, though if I can do so I'll send you a copy. You've already done all you can by voting for it :P

This item has been unlisted for about a year (unknown to me) because I hadn't plugged in the required info. Now I've realised and fixed it, I appreciate everyone coming and checking it out!

I'm sure there are better trails out there but I like this effect in its own way, and I hope you do too. Happy speedrunning!
