Great copy of a legend but the fuel needs blocks between. When you dont you are flying with a giant bomb on board.

Hey guys appreciate the comments. I know the thing is extremley outdated now. I am in the process of trying to get a new computer so that I can keep up with the game. Everytime I open the game on my current comp it crashes it. If anyone would like to post and share changes they make to the ship any help would be appreciated!

Looks good for the most part - must have taken quite some time to build. Only issue I have is that the warp nacelles are too short.

This is Crazy, I Got Lost For 10-15 min in the saucer section.
Totally amasing work, this must of took 30 hours to do with the R&R tool being so slow.
PS Arrows to turbolift would be good like deck D or E has, well one of the crew decks.

Thats a really good idea! Ill start that up as soon as I finish this one. Time table just got bad, were moving, but hopefully still finish this one by the end of May. A shell should only take me a day or two, Maybe ill get bored of painting (its tedious) and just make the shell.

A thought make an empty shell only, I admire all your detail but it is over kill dont add thrusters, deco or guns just amke the outside shell. let others who like finish the way the want. Should cut the time in half...

I am having the same issue. Its drastically slowed down my ability to work on the ship. I have started running the texture tool over all the decks as I paint to see if that helps the issue. If not... Ill have to start deleting each level and rebuilding it. That would take months to complete though.

Great job, Problem is all Pre-Aplpha blocks crash server. i tried to figure it out but she is massive. Do you have the ability to fix it to Post alpha status? I know what that entails but it is the best blueprint I have ever seen.

I tested adding more thrusters and it improves functionality a lot. You might also add more RCS. Im trying to maintain a delicate balance between power output and functionality. Some people dont care how much fuel they use and others do so im trying to stay in the medium. I put thrusters only where i absoloutley needed them or where the schematics said they should be. Adding more cant hurt? You could also add more weapons. Ive wanted to that myself but that would be jumping outside the schematics. I already added four that are not supposed to be there.

Hey I spawned this and it's super clunky and heavy to fly. Is there anything I can put on to make this a little more flyable? Otherwise nice job on this! I love all the detail put into the structure itself.

Would be cool to use new shape blocks to not make it look like a square blocks ship from Minecraft. New shaped blocks are really great to make things look smoother and less square.

No. The entire interior is filled with rooms etc. It has 21 decks inside all of them with decorations, equipment and so on.

Just learned a trick from a friend. I posted the picture above that shows the actual dimensions of this vessel. I apologize for all but its actually to big.
Its supposed to be:
W=145,L=305,H=76
In the game it is
W=206,L=360,H=94

Its actually quite a bit bigger than its supposed to be. Thats likley because at times I used the 2 meter blocks for walls/hull and I always used them for flooring/ceiling. I apologize for those whom wanted it to be exactly to scale but I promise I put my best effort into it while trying to maintain the actual deck plan.

Correction from previous post. I used demensions for 1701 Original when I used Blue Prints for the 1701-A Below is correct message with corrected size.

Glad you liked it! I did my best to make it to scale but I may have made the saucer section to wide. Its supposed to be 305 meters long, 145 meters wide (saucer is supposed to be 145 x 145) and then 76 meters tall. As far as I can tell the blocks are 2 x 2 x 2 meters. I think everything is really close except the saucer might be a little to big. Let me know if anyone has a more accurate measurement for the blocks (perhaps they are in different measuring units and not meters?) Thanks for the cracker comment though bob. Got a good laugh.

Thanks a lot for the advice! Those are all great ideas. I'll add them to my list of things to do. I just learned that we have to add warp fuel so now I get to figure that out too! Really appreciate your feed back.

I've just tested it and ... WOW!
Its just amazing :steamhappy: and so big :O


Here are some points to Improve in my point of view:
- add Warp stuff
- add more Thrusters (since 1.0 thera are Thrusters which are bigger than the big Thrusters)
- add Numbers or sth. at each Deck
- add arrows on the floor which points towards the Leviator/Stairs
- maby you could paint the main paths at living Deck for not get lost ;)

(please excuse my grammar, im from Germany :) )

Greatly appreciate the feedback! I hope you enjoy the update. Oh I apologize for the lack of circular patterns. The whole living deck is supposed to have just circular halls going around, The blocked formations that are in the update can be confusing. Let me know if you guys have ideas to reduce the probability that people will get lost on the living deck. I though about numbering the outside corner of each room such as 1A etc. Well let me know if you guys have any ideas!
