@irealys: The idea is interesting, but i don't have all the skills needed for such a project. And, for your information, you have now a mod that allow to make big iceboxes. I have named it "Icebox XL". Have fun! :)

Well, I'm a type of player that likes to accumulate and hates leaving things on the ground so I can promise you I'll be first in line to try any chest mod you will release.

And since you enjoyed one of my ideas, I'll discuss something here with you. Don't consider this a request or even an idea actually, it's more of the start of an idea, something to be thought about. There is another mod that stopped being supported before Shipwreck I think so it's not even compatible there. It's a storage mod that was cheap (I think maybe one plank) but had only 5 slots and could only store logs (the "chest" visual was even just logs piles up). And it got me thinking that there are interesting places to go from there conceptually. Storage that could be unique to some resources that we accumulate a lot and either priced lower or for the same price hold more. Again, it's more the germ of an idea than anything complete but maybe you (or anyone reading) could get inspired and have some great ideas.

To be honest, the mod is not exactly what i had first in mind. I am back to modding these days and i will push another mod that will better fit my first idea (larger treasure chest, burnable, ...). I can not just upgrade this one as there would be too many modifications and it would probably affect users (chests disappearing,...) and i really don't want this to happen.

@irealys: I will also push a mod for larger iceboxes as well. The mod should be straightforward, in theory, so i hope i will push it relatively soon.

But yeah, i always try to make mods that do not unbalance the game. Some mods are really popular but make the game really easier, and i think that the difficulty of this game make it more interesting. It is a normal thing to die and learn from our mistakes!

Glad you like the idea. I really enjoy this mod already, espcially how it doesn't feel like cheating to be honest. Don't Starve is a ressource management game and I feel the prices you have make these items feels like a normal extension of it, a convenience rather than a way to get an advantage (I just have a tendency to gather and keep a lot of stuff). I'm sure if or when you decide to look into an ice box version you'll manage a similar "part of the world" feel that you already have. And thanks for the already solid mod.

@irealys: Hi irealys! I am not sure i will have the time to do it, but a large ice box is indeed something that should be done. Good idea. I will keep it in mind!

Any chance you could include a freezer (or whatever youd call a larger ice box)?

Go edit modmain.lua, find
"GLOBAL.IsDLCEnabled(GLOBAL.CAPY_DLC)"
change it to
"(GLOBAL.IsDLCEnabled(GLOBAL.CAPY_DLC) or GLOBAL.IsDLCEnabled(GLOBAL.PORKLAND_DLC))"
should fix the problem.

@18258222858: Not sure to understand what you mean, but i don't want that this item make the game easier, just to avoid having too many normal chest in order to make the game more convenient.

@MakinMyWayDowntown: I have added the line for the hamlet compatibility but since i have not this extension yet, i can't verify myself that it works. Please tell me if this is the case.

@sachinraid: Hi sachinraid, strange bug, you are the first one to report such a problem. I don't know what is the cause of it for now. Have you try it without any other mod? There may be a conflict.

i tried to use this..but no crafting options is coming in my ds rog...can anyone herlp me with this mod so that i can use ornament chests

@Axell: Hi Axell, yep, i have not this extension by now so it is effectively possible that this mod is not Hamlet compatible. I can't promess you i will do it, i don't play don't starve these days, but maybe i will return to this great game one day.

I have tested this morning on my computer, with every chests (normal, small and big ornate) and with these versions of the game (DT, Reign of Giant, Shipwrecked) and the shift+left-click works for me. Can you test it in a game with just this mod activated and tell me if the bug is still here? Which version of the game did you tried?

moving items with shift makes em disappear, in normal chests it works, in ornate chest it doesnt..

@annabanna: Hi annabanna, sorry i didn't see your message before. It is maybe too late now since your message date from february! To my knowledge, it is not possible to reset a game to an earlier state. The crash you mention is strange, is it due to this particular mod? Can you tell me the error message?

i went to the volcano. game crashed and disabled mods. i enabled mod and start again. leaving volcano, went back to my base camp and all better chests whit all my rare items in it were gone!
what can i do? is there a possibility to reset game to an earlier state of game before all that **** happened?

@DemonEXP : The modicon file has been changed. The dimension is now 256*256. Do you still have this error ?

Thanks DemonEXP for your report, this could help i think ! i will change the modicon.tex file to make it in dimension 256*256, we will see if this resolve the problem or not

../mods/workshop-662998391/modicon.tex is 268x268 but compressed textures must have power of 2 dimensions.

Getting the same crash as other people. Try to go into the mods tab and boom.

Crashes my mods tab... please fix or remove from workshop. As you can see many others are having the same issue.

Thanks for the description of the problem. I hope i will be able to find where the problem is, but i can't promess anything.

When I have this mod subscribed and i go in-game to enable it, it doesn't load and it crashes the game after clicking "mods". I even tried restarting my game and going straight into a newly made world instead of going to enable it and it crashes the game before maxwell disappears into the ground. :c unsubscribing the mod was the only thing that fixed it and all my other mods work. I hope this could possibly help in finding the problem but unfortunately I don't know where the problem is. I hope this helps even a little, I'd really like to use your mod.

I have no idea what make the game crash for you with that mod activated. I have check the files but i have found nothing, and i have no problem with it. I have also ROG and shipwrecked, and it works for all of them. If someone knows where the problem is, please tell me.

Forgot to add: I have shipwrecked and ROG.

Whenever I click on "mods" in the don't starve main page with this mod subscribed to, this happens: I get the message that steam is verifying mod details and then the game crashes. I deleted all other mods just to make sure it wasn't a conflict or another mod causing the issue.

Hope it interests you as it is intended to both help you have some assistance in developing and keeping your mods up to date and also help the community by ressurecting old mods, porting mods from DS to DST and vice-versa, making mods compatible between themselves and also merge mods that can and should be merged, some times providing separated versions as well if needed.
