I think that both the grey colour scheme and the "hose" make it look too similar to the Degreaser.

Instead of shooting fire from the gun, it shoots molten metal. This metal can be put on the ground and anyone who walks over it catches on fire and whilst in contact with the molten metal, deals flame damage. This molten metal will turn into solid metal and then disappear after 5 seconds, or, it could be airblasted or sucked up by the man melter. The alt-fire would still compression blast as per usual. The opposition to the W+M1 pyro
