Took a few hours overall, and would have been shorter if I hadn't had to reload so many times and could run the game at normal speed instead of having to run it at the lowest possible speed during the ent warpaths.
Kind of a weird level in that it gets easier as it progresses. Once I had about half the map cleared, I was well-established and the remainder was just a matter of time.
I figured I'd drop the invite on my favorite map. I'm trying to make a map now, but I keep running into issues. Would love to speak with you for sure to figure out this map making thing. I suspect my map is permanently broken due to the lack of "forces" and no ability to add them. Something must have gone horribly wrong. :/
I wasn't trying to steal anything, I just want to see how the quests work so I could try to make something that I like.
I really liked it! Yes, it becomes a bit repetitive later on, but I found a satisfaction in the cleanup, as well. I was just wondering, do the ents all keep moving to remain spread out, or is it just the newly arriving ones who find new spots away from the other ents that already were in place? Also, is this the default behavior of these ents or did you have to code it in yourself?
I found the neatest way to deal with the Sires was to flag them with a decent bounty and then air-drop a dozen solarii or paladins on top using Gate from the sorc's abode. Most of the heroes would flee, but a handful was enough to get the job done, and change of heart would discourage the rest from engaging with the vengeful Entish horde until they were within range of Lighting Storm. So yeah, pure cheese strategy on this one. :P
I'm gonna have to agree with the concensus here- it needs more variety. Some dryad-sorceresses, maybe? Giant spiders that spit venom and webs? A rock golem or two with crazy criticals? Anything but hundreds more ents!
I laughed out loud at the quest description, though- "We're gonna butcher hundreds of sentient tree-men because we want their carcasses for furniture." Wow.
(Hall of Champions actually coming in handy lol)
