i am engineer. IRL. Automation/processing (electric) engineer. That means i have spent too much money on my computer. My game runs that ship at ~70fps.
Funnily enough when i use fraps it absolutely butchers frame rates. i must look into alternatives when i release the ship as i plan to make small introduction video for it.
It will carry ~40 "Ignis" interceptors, 6 "Praegis Lux" frigates, ~10 "Hammerhead" Bombers and 2 "Iron Wind" cruisers. Naturally all of those are non-remote controlled sensor-AI drones. plus assortment of engineerign and support craft.
All of those drones with the exception of "Iron Wind" can be found in my workshop

After that i might start working on actual supercarrier, as that ship is more of an actual carrier.

and i did take a look at your profile and your new carrier looks very interesting so i will follow its development

a bit bigger yeah exactly lol
1.1 km fuck meee
how would your pc even handle a ship this big??
Stormlord  [author] 14 Apr, 2016 @ 7:52am
Thanks!
I'm currently doing a tad bit bigger carrier, sneak peek pics in my profile, and i'm trying to integrate coloring into the ship. I personally like to keep the mods as few as possible, and the 1.16km carrier will only have 2 mods.
As space engineers does not have very extensive "living quarters" blocks, i have to improvise. And i love improvising, as it proves a challenge...

that is really impressive, like you i dont really know how to color my ships
but the outside details are amazing
good job!

so perfect ...

Interesting opinion- what in your opinion makes this ship seem star citizen-like?
=VG= kiwirambob/killabot 9 Apr, 2016 @ 4:26am
Wow ... just like star Citizen ..

Helpful advice! Appriciated! I personally attempt to veer away from cluttered 1x1x1 corridor look that many other workshop builds sport- i suffer from mild claustrophobia so attempting to do really compact insides is somewhat difficult. That being said, the insides could indeed use some working on- and i will attempt to utilize highter details in my next ship.
Personally though, i might be sort of boring person as i really like the gunmetal gray ships :D

I like the design, but it has some flaws. The main is that is not painted. Painting the ship will give it a better look. The others flaws are interior details: try to add some columns, colors and details.
Although this, I must say the exterior design is very good.

And a brand new update!

Can't wait to see! I like the new images as well, they look good!

Ooo, thoughtful critique! Appriciated! Yes, i am going to adress (=adressing as i craft the ship further) those points as well as some other far more essential points- for example the ship has no live-quarters (planned to take place in the "massive air vents room"), no medical site (planned to take place in 2nd deck, between utility and fighter hangar), the inter-ship walkway system is horrible and the ship lacks functional CIC and LED-panel guidance.

The next version will integrate those, and add some coloring- i'm thinking white floors, grey outer shell and dark grey to where the ship ramguards are (the "portruding" armor regments).

I like the overall design, but some of the detailing needs work. Some of the interior parts need some aesthetic polishing, and in some places toning down. The whole line of air vents looks a bit weird, for example. Some color on the inside would also help. I like the outer hull, but the huge amount of thrusters all over makes it look almost ridiculous then. I think you need to find a better way to integrate them into the design so they look better and don't detract from the ship's looks. As of now they look rather tacked on. I feel like it would help to break the massive hangar door up into smaller segments. It would seem too vulnerable when opened up. Nice ship, but definetely needs some polish. There's a lot of good stuff happening, especially with the overall form, but also a lot of little things that distract from that. But I like it!
