To correct myself, the mod is not huge, it's YUGE!!!
They probably won't, since Hegemony III surrounds ancient Italy, and having a DLC to include history of another region would question the original mission of Hegemony III. But they could surround ancient Macedonia in their next game.
also any plans to expand the main game to include carthage or greece?
This will sound like I'm impossible to please! - but is there any plan to expand it to include all of Greece? I know this ain't DLC and thanks for bringing this mod to us, just curious about scope.
I think there is a right and wrong way to do dlc. Paradox does it wrong. If you remake your old games for the newest iteration with the updated mechanics, you can easily rake in some cash by publishing them as dlc, not mods.
My two cents.
I'd like to see all of Greece, the Aegean Islands, Crete and the Ionian Coastal Cities. Perhaps Introduce the Persian Faction there as invaders like in the Italian Campaign.
And connect the whole lot up with the Italy campaign!

This will make a 'Greek Noble Cavalry' unit available for all greek factions (including in the main game). In the long run we should probably make some custom faction groups so Thessaly can have special cavalry and make the phalangites exclusive to Macedon.
