In the absence of any other mods to repair smaller ships that actually work in 4.0 I suppose this will do the trick. It's definitely a lot less "cheaty" than repair laser / drone mods (which dont work quite right in 4.0). I don't know too many people who have the time to dick around flying to all the different ship dealers to repair their fighters.

Thanks for this, I'm glad people still recognize the need to alleviate the frustration coded into this w...wonderful... game...

Shipwrecks are inventory items you have gathered previously. If there are no wrecks in skunks inventory then repair will not occur either. I have like 8000+ wrecks as there has been no other use for them. To check how much you have go to status - inventory - scroll down to almost to bottom to find shipwreck counter...

Each repair will consume a shipwreck from Skunk's inventory.

How about give this ability to cap ships with repair drones in small radius for subordinate fighters?
Think it will be very immersive and logically correct.
No need for drone anomation, but it would add more immersion.

This mod was created to improve experience working with small fighters, but I totally see your point regarding cap ships and junk inventory loot, so i will think about this.

Very nice mod, thanks! I have an idea.

It would be awesome if it would work for capital ships and their surface elements too. BUT, not just for free, but would require specific materials.

For example, to repair a jump drive, the skunk should have n amounts of jumpdrive components. To repair hull, the skunk should have n amounts of ship wreck something (dont remember the name exactly). This way, we could help to repair our boarded ship after the battle ends. Would give meaning to various junk that is too cheap to be bothered to sell.

The distance could be very small where the repair would work. Like, couple of hundred meters. That way the ships that would pass us by would not repair and we could save it for components and ships we would like to repair fast.
