I'm assuming this isn't compatible with WOTC?
Alarc 27 Jul, 2017 @ 10:49pm
i like this but reaper never activates and it is the best skill in game i believe . you should have not made it pasive. or is it any way to increase the percentage?
Kytheros 25 Nov, 2016 @ 7:51pm
I'd love to have this solved.... Just spent an hour looking at this and I have no idea what might be causing this issue. When this mod is activated, and I go to promote my ranger, my sergeant skills are the same as my corporal skills. Like, shadowstep is replaced by blademaster, but blademaster is already in the first tier skills. Same for phantom replacing shadowstrike. I disabled this mod and loaded the save, problem fixed, so its this mod doing something, perhaps not playing well with another I have; I don't know what might be conflicting though.
Bosmun 7 Aug, 2016 @ 10:05pm
mod author id like to know how you modified reaper as im wanting something similar to this but this mod would conflict with other mods so i was gonna make my own could you help me out?
Belial 9 Jun, 2016 @ 1:35pm
I had no problem with slash, however it seems this mod made Axe upgrade rather worthless, since it doesnt seem to improve its damage. Fusion blade deals more damage than fusion axe, stun blade deals same damage as stun axe. Hope its fixed.

Otherwise great mod, but deep cover really has to go. Its useless. would be decent on sniper but not on ranger definitely. Especially when your other option in untouchable
Naledge 30 May, 2016 @ 7:06pm
Got the admit. Other than the Blademaster bug, this is a really damn good change to the ranger. I feel a few of the skills are kinda OP. But overall I like how youve reorganized the skills. Have to make some tought choices.
maharajah 21 May, 2016 @ 4:45am
Blademaster Passive Skill: Slash no longer ends your turn whenever you take a single move - don't work as it said. I make 1 turn-slash (in border of blue outline) and it always end my turn. I have onlly this Ranger mod.
Belial 20 May, 2016 @ 6:16am
Bladestorm doesnt work according to description. Enemies starting their turn next to Ranger can freely move out.
Hayaku 18 May, 2016 @ 8:52am
Thanks so much for this
DPK[???_????] 17 May, 2016 @ 7:08am
Thx Man! Love your ranger, even better with the new samurai mask:steamhappy:
Crazy War Hero 17 May, 2016 @ 6:40am
Thanks a bunch. I much prefer your version to the vanilla ranger.
Daedalus  [author] 17 May, 2016 @ 4:40am
Sorry for the delay but I've been busy with RL things lately.
The mod has been updated to work with the new patch.
DPK[???_????] 17 May, 2016 @ 2:16am
plase update!
Scottsch 17 May, 2016 @ 1:10am
never had problems with uploaded... here is pastebin for you: http://pastebin.com/Gduz8jqG

for the rest just open the XComClassData.ini with an editor and replace the content with the content of pastebin
Gunboat Diplomat 17 May, 2016 @ 12:27am
@Scottsch

Please, use a file host that actually works. Dropbox, hell even pastebin would be enough for this. That file host won't even let me download it after waiting. :/
Scottsch 16 May, 2016 @ 10:54pm
OK Got it fixed:
They must have changed the DefaultClass Layout so the removals didn't work from this mod. I replacedthem with the exact copies from the DefaultClass and removed them then I added in the Skills from this mod.

To fix it for the mess mod-experienced following instructions:
1. download the file under: http://uploaded.net/file/cvals9pg
2. go to your steam folder and follow this path: ...\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\634921857\Config
(XCOM 2 ID = 268500
ID of this Mod = 634921857)
3. replace the XComClassData.ini with the one you downloaded
4. start the game and be happy

information:
if you tell steam to repair the game it will delete the edited file and will replace it with the bugged old version. When Daedalus updates his mod the update will be downloaded by steam and then this fix shouldn't be needed any longer
Scottsch 16 May, 2016 @ 10:23pm
sry guys the fix from Greg doesn't work properly. It fixes the double phantom, but it keeps the default layout of the skills so that blademaster is still the first ability and not bladestorm etc.
mcXhub 16 May, 2016 @ 2:40pm
Yep, a how-to to fix it for less mod-experienced persons would be awesome. This double phantom bug sucks, otherwise great work
Crazy War Hero 16 May, 2016 @ 2:10pm
how do you incorporate it? I never messed around with those files before.
Greg 15 May, 2016 @ 11:56am
I fixed the double phantom bug. Have a pastebin of the change i made to the XComClassData.ini

http://pastebin.com/F1THFt7j
Crazy War Hero 13 May, 2016 @ 12:08pm
I got phantom two levels in a row in the game now
bjorgulf.oyhus 12 May, 2016 @ 4:30pm
yea I get phantom as cpl and sgt now so i guess patch broke it
Hayaku 12 May, 2016 @ 1:06pm
I think the latest patch broke the mod. Blademaster is the first skill again
vSammiel 16 Apr, 2016 @ 6:49am
This mod does a great job of making swords competitive with shotguns, but even with these buffs and some crazy sword upgrades from grimy's loot mod I still never use my sword ranger outside of retaliation and the codex coordinates mission.
259 3 Apr, 2016 @ 7:56pm
I've kept track of my mods to make sure they don't conflict and as far as I know this is the only one I have active that changes anything to do about the Ranger. I don't use an external mod manager though. It used to work perfectly fine when I first subscribed but then suddenly it all went out of whack.
Daedalus  [author] 3 Apr, 2016 @ 6:52pm
It sounds like you may have a conflicting mod. Do you have anything else that changes ranger skills? Are you just subscribing or are you using a mod launcher?
259 2 Apr, 2016 @ 5:28pm
I think I might have to give up on this for now. I've tried deleting the config folder in my documents and it does reset the perk order but every time I reload the game they go out of order again. Even with that the Reaper perk stays as an activated ability instead of a passive.
Daedalus  [author] 31 Mar, 2016 @ 11:19am
If your skills are not showing up in the right order, delete the directory %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config and load a recent save on the Avenger. That should fix it.
Johnny_chan 31 Mar, 2016 @ 10:36am
loaded up this mod and the skills don't match the screenshots. The shadow skills are missing from sergent rank. What gives?
Daedalus  [author] 28 Mar, 2016 @ 5:26pm
That can happen when you disable or update mods that make changes to XComClassData.ini
If you have a local copy and a sub it can do that too. To try to get it working with the mod unsubscribe, resubscribe and then delete the my documents config folder. Let me know if you are still having issues. Otherwise just unsubscribe and then delete your my documents config folder. That should remove the mod and have you classes with the right skills.
Darth Hernia 27 Mar, 2016 @ 8:06pm
Hi, thanx for the mod! I enjoted it until the patch came out. Since then the messed-up skill tree order bug kept appearing and I had to quit the game and delete the config folder like every 30min...

Any idea what causes this to happen? And since I've started a new campaign, is there a way to revert the mod's changes w/o starting a new campaign? Thx!
Daedalus  [author] 26 Mar, 2016 @ 9:49am
@wangyilr
That's what I get for updating code without testing. It should be good now.
Armand 26 Mar, 2016 @ 5:35am
Well, the bug of Hunter's Instinct Perk didn't get fixed. It doesn't work on range attacks now.
Daedalus  [author] 25 Mar, 2016 @ 1:00pm
@wangyilr
Thanks for the heads up. It should be fixed now.
Daedalus  [author] 25 Mar, 2016 @ 8:11am
I'll take a look this weekend and see what the issue is.
Armand 25 Mar, 2016 @ 7:12am
Thanks for the mod,but I found that the Hunter's Instinct Perk do not work when my rangers slash an Advent.
Daedalus  [author] 24 Mar, 2016 @ 5:23pm
You can change it to whatever you want. It's your game!
I felt that 25% struck the right balance of happening fairly often (occasional double procs) without turning into a Serial level of multikills.
cjcg000 24 Mar, 2016 @ 4:58pm
oh well maybe someday :)
meantime is there any issue if I change the % of chance of reaper activation mid game??(40 or 50 just feels better to me than 25)
Daedalus  [author] 24 Mar, 2016 @ 7:35am
No unfortunately I haven't found where those variables are created. If another dev knows, I'll be happy to update it.
cjcg000 24 Mar, 2016 @ 4:24am
if I change the % for reaper activation will the wording ingame change as well?? ex I change it to 40% activation rate in the config
it will say in game "deal +2 extra damage...........in addition each melee kill has a 40% chance to refund......
if not is there a way to do this??
Bullett00th 23 Mar, 2016 @ 6:28am
I am on the edge about using this for the current playthrough but the changes sound very logical and great overall. Good job!
Daedalus  [author] 18 Mar, 2016 @ 4:44am
@Charley
The config files in your my documents are created when you launch the game from the config files located in your xcom install directory. When a mod makes a change to a config file it saves that config change in your my documents location. Clearing that folder shouldn't cause any issues to your games. I've done it many times in the middle of an Ironman campaign with no issues.

The only thing that can cause issues is adding out removing mods in the middle of a campaign.
Cubic_C333 18 Mar, 2016 @ 12:03am
I saw your previous comment about deleting the entire Config directory, but wouldn't that seriously mess up the game files? I looked in the config files and foud the section that lays out the class perks. I assume editing that can restore the skills to normal, but I don't have an unmodded config file to replace it with.
Cubic_C333 17 Mar, 2016 @ 11:56pm
It's an ironman campaign as well, so (as far as I know) I can't back up the save file before doing anything risky.
Cubic_C333 17 Mar, 2016 @ 11:55pm
I uninstalled this mod and started a fresh vanilla campaign, but now my ranger skill tree is completely messed up. It's not vanilla (like it should be) but it's not yours, either. So far, the scout tree goes from phantom straight to concealment, and the assault tree starts with bladestorm and then has implacable.
GeminiGod 16 Mar, 2016 @ 10:26am
Only just starting to play around with this but definitely the best re-work of the ranger I have seen so far. Your changes are very logical and make this more of a complete class. Thanks!
jonabar 16 Mar, 2016 @ 1:16am
I have been playing this on legendary, works great so far!
Daedalus  [author] 13 Mar, 2016 @ 6:39am
delete the directory %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config
This should remove the changes.
EasyCompany 12 Mar, 2016 @ 10:39pm
Very good rebalance mod I think but be noticed this mod makes vanilla unplayable.
EasyCompany 12 Mar, 2016 @ 10:37pm
I've alreay undescribed this mod but the changes are still there in any of the save, including saves didn't use this mod.
