This mod stopped working with the patch today. I was playing in the morning, worked fine. Restarted, small patched. Mod doesnt work. Not sure if you still update or not.

There is a BIG bug with the mod! I cant chose the 7th and 8th soilder! Even if i selected them and give them Items I got random soilders as 7th and 8th! Pls fix

Also, I can confirm that this mod does not block achievements. I used it from the beginning on one playthrough, and did get achievements even though it was active. Not sure about the one Dewguru mentioned, didn't try to get that, but other than that, got all the achievs I should have gotten

Regarding what AurenKarach said... other mods might block this one from working. I just reinstalled the game and played it again, first time ever since mid- to late February, and installed some recent mods.
Suddenly, Legion didn't work anymore. I deactivated all mods but this one, and it was working again when I retried. I then switched on just a few other mods, and it's still working.
The ones that are deactivated now, and one of them apparently is causing the problem are:
No Avatar Project, Leader Pack, SMG Pack. One of them apparently is blocking Legion. Hope this helps

will the enemy pod size stay the same with this mod, or will this get adjusted as well (maybe in the future?), or is the only way to adjust the enemy pod size by doing so manually in the .ini file?

@fLaMaster - My understanding is that mods don't disable achievements. At the same time, I've noticed one achievement that I should have, but it didn't trigger, which is the Win a Multiplayer match achievement. Which is odd, since none of my mods impact Multiplayer play.

This mod has not changed since Feb 6th, which is visible up there under the photo on the right. So if something broke due to a recent change, it wasn't this mod. The only reason why this mod is still here is due to folks asking me to leave it up. Otherwise I'd move it to a Friends only mod and take a stab at some later point at expanding it further.

has this been updated recently? The UI fix is not working all of a sudden and people say it's because of some change in "XCOM Legion" (but there are two mods with that name, so not sure this is the right thread). Just have a look maybe?

The mod at

makes it so that you can see all 8 soldiers if you're still using this mod without an update. You have to subscribe to the mod, and change 1 line of code in one of the ini files from 6 to 8. Guide is on the mod page.

Also, I've tested it and the squad size fix mod works just fine with XComLegion

If I understand correctly, deleting XComGameData.ini and do the Verify Integrity Game Cache should Uninstall this mod.

@Drag0nknight - That's a special mission. It feeds you reinforcements as the mission goes on as part of a scripted event.

No worries, glad you got it figured out for now. If you need additional testing on the mod changes, let me know. I can manually download the mod from somewhere and test it. If/when you get a chance to incorporate the UI changes.

@Randonx, I did, and I appreciate it. I took the mod down originally as I'm figuring it'll be a few days before I get to getting that part fixed, but I didn't realize how that'd screw up folks games in the interim. I'll take a look at it though, and once again, I appreciate your bringing it to my attention.

My apologies for not realizing that making the mod invisible would effectively break everyone's save game until it was made visible again. I noticed folks having issues, so I intended to just take it offline until I could look into it and resolve it instead of things just continuing like they are.

The mod (obviously since you can see this) is public again, so hopefully you can resume your games. And once again, my apologies.

If you use this mod and save then it becoems a requirement for that save. It persists even after you unsub from it and it does not show on you mod loading list. I had to restore the default backup of my config file in order to actuall remove it.

anyone else having issues with the Final mission with this mod installed (the one with a 3 person squad)? I cannot get the mission completed so it would go to the second part.

at the start of the mission eventhough there are only 3 squaddies on the screen it gives the consealement puff to "six" squaddies... I believe its a byproduct of this mod and breaks the final mission.

Dew~ Somebody has figured out how to fix the UI Limitations for adding additional squad members. Here is a link to his Workshop item, if you'd like to integrate what he's found into your mod.

Yeah I thought this would be neat as I preferred the 6 man starting squad from Long War over the vanilla 4 in the original, but the UI problem irks me and I'll just play with the vanilla limitation for now. Otherwise I can't wait to hopefully see it come to fruition as a fully working mod with UI functionality.

I apreciate it; however, that UI loadout bug really needs to be fixed. Ive tried changing DefaultUI to MaxDisplayedSlots=8 and 10 and 12 and nothing works you have six slots and 2 buged ones.

@EnterElysium that's all mods. Once you save with it, the mod, not the changes will always be there. You can revert the changes by commenting out the mods ini tweaks.

@The Lord Drake, that's odd, because I've commented out the .ini tweak and reverted to 4 troopers mid save to test. I've gone from 4 to 6, 6 to 8, 8 to 10, and back to 4 all in one save.

I feel like people don't understand what is going on. Once you save the game with a mod, it's like the save records the mod information, and will not let you reload without the mod turned on, whether or not the things the mod changed were still active. I'm also fairly certain that this failsafe system exists for ANY MOD that makes actual gameplay changes. I imagine cosmetic stuff can be turned on and off, haven't tested that myself.

Heads up, you can not turn this mod off. Even editing the .ini files to comment out code won't turn it off. It also alters any saves you have that did not start with the mod.
Still like the mod, but it's annoying that I can't keep my vanilla run through.:steamsad:
