This map was finished. Due to some updates with Ark, some landscape materials are no longer in the game. I am no longer updating this map however as I am concentrating fully on my own game which you can find here on Steam at http://store.steampowered.com/app/779110/Harsh/

Just as a quick update on my other project since a few of you have expressed interest. I'm currently finishing up the tutorial part of the game. I have almost all systems in place and working from combat to base building, levelling, spells, equipment, questing, factions, etc. I still have a lot of map-making to do as I only have the starter area done but I am currently hoping and on track for an alpha release by this fall. When it is released, I plan on releasing it through Steam and also having a free trial version along with the retail version (although the retail version I plan on keeping low cost). As I get closer, I'll try to get more information added as well as maybe some videos. Thanks for your support for this map and hopefully you'll enjoy the game I'm building.

@BRAIX Your game sounds exactly like what I have been looking to play! Will you have a taming aspect like ark? Such as tame a specific creature to finish a mission to help an npc or something along those lines? I love ark and the taming aspect and I could only imagine if someone turned it into a survival RPG!!!! :-D PLEASE keep us posted because I will definitely be interested in your game!!!!!

I will more than likely not be doing any further changes to this map as I am spending my time programming my own game. The design is coming along very well on it as I'm working out the system first and then adding content. It's a survival roleplaying game with fantasy elements, base building, factions, dungeons and more. Most of the core systems have come along nicely and when I have something more ready for a beta type release, it will be through Steam and I will let anyone interested know, but thats still a while off as I want something that is mostly bug free and ready for view before I do that. =)

Is this compatible with annunaki? Really love the map tried it on offline but yeah was very pink and green lol and not sure if annunaki will run with it?

I checked it and it works, however, they apparently changed some of the terrain textures around, so some areas look a little funky, in particular, the snowy area is bright green with weird looking circles . I'll take a look at the textures and see if I can switch them around a bit to fix that issue. From what I could tell as I flew around and checked things out, everything else was working fine. The custom supply crates were dropping and dinos were spawning. Trees, rocks, plants, ruins, etc. were all there. Check it out and let me know what you think. As I said in the previous post, I'm programming a game and using a lot of tricks I learned through map makining, so opinions on this could help me in the design of my own game. :)

Last time I checked, it was working. So unless they made some changes to the core mechanics around it, it should work fine. Haven't checked it in a while as I've been programming a new game instead of working on maps for Ark.

I have anothe rone idea for fixing this minor bugs. SOTF is a free game, and have files of broodmother with proper camera and another animations. Megapithecus lost half of animations when ridden in main game, butnot in SOTF and this mod. Also, despawn timer shall be a function or so. Maybe creation of 3 "clones" of giganotosaurus+attching to each of one model, animations, AI of bosses will force the game to consider them as "regular" creatures and prevent from dissapearing. Anyway, nice update.

Megapithecus have all animations from SOTF, it`s great. Dragon can normally fly. Broodmother still have wrong camera, but it`s minor issue.

Its a nice thought Dinovart, however, you are not able to open up other mods in the devkit and look at them. This is done to prevent people from stealing other people's work.

Thank you, will try tomorrow (it`s evening in my timezone). Maybe I,m wrong, but checking files from other mods (small dragons etc.) in devkit could help to disable despawn timer of tamed bosses and fix some bugs.

New update should allow dragon to fly using spacebar instead of fly command. Also, hopefully fixed an issue with the animation for the Hunter's Bow.

Camera of broodmothri s broken, the one from mod http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=526216670 is fixed. gorilla and broodmother don`t despawn after 15 mins.

Using console command fly and walk lets dragon to fly/land, but spacebar isn`t working. There is no landing animation. However, even this is a great opportunity for me to explore entire map. I can finally feel "rebuild" of one old good game - "I of the dragon": wast environments with different climate conditions, and descendants of prehistoric creatures instead of monsters.

Tried to ride dragon. There are 2 major bugs: dotame isn`t working, and dragon can`t fly. Forcetamed dragon disappears after game restart, but it was epected.

BRAINX,ok, about despawn timer/server restart:in other modsbosses can`t diasappear even if forcetamed. For example, in this mod http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=526216670 . Maybe there is asset/parameter that affects 'saving" animals: a creatue can be "considered" as boss/non-tamable and despawn after restart, or "considered" as normal and stay.

Thanks for the info roger.zeebroek. Haven't messed with the admin commands a whole lot. dinovart, let me know if you can ride your dragon now. I'll also try and dive deeper into the boss attributes and see if I can't find something to change to make them more persistent. The info for them is a little confusing as I took pieces from other AIs to help put together an AI for them as normally they spawn and just stand there staring into space. The dragon, in fact, at first would spawn auto tameable so you could walk up, claim it and go destroy the server. Making them act was actually one of the harder aspects of making this map. Learned alot but still learning.

normal dino's dont disapear after server reset with forcetame, neater with dotame. Dotame is more like the normal tame. You need a saddle to ride your dino's. Cant speak of bosses as i did not try this out. But my gues is that it is in the nature of bosses to disapear after server restart

Dinovart, bosses should be ridable now if you tame then as the admin. As far as despawning when the server resets, I believe that has to do with the forcetame command itself. You might have more luck with the dotame command although I haven't tested it for certain and not sure if dotame will work on the bosses as they are not normally tameable because in the hands of an alpha tribe, they would completely wreck the server.

Dinovart, I'll look into changing that for you. Shouldn't be that big of a deal to change acutally, but now that I said that, it will probably be a huge chore. We'll see. BRAIX , I figured out my suggestion; if it possible, please, make your bosses rideable and not disappearing after game restart. I summonned and forcetamed dragon2 -it`s even bigger, than official one, and ideal mount for me. I lost hope in other mods, because all dragons in them are small, vanilla one despawns after 15 mins. The map looks half-empty, but is ideal for huge packs and herds of animals, especially sauropods, and as territiory of bosses (no major obstackles, they have enough space to run/walk).

Do bosses despawn, if forcetamed? They can survive in the wild and all 3 have AI, spawn in wildlife, modded, and it will be nice for server admin or solo player (like me) have an opportunity to tame boss forever. Obelisk/boss arena mechanics on official ARK abandoned the hope to tame bosses without mods.

Everything should be done and updated for the most part now. Any additional updates will be strictly bug fixes and tweaking the bosses. I lowered the damage of the gorilla and dragon as they were doing way too much damage as it wasn't my intention for them to one shot everything and everyone they came across. They're still really tough and will be an extreme.challenge but should hopefully at least be doable now. And the rewards are worth it. Let me know any thoughts you have.

Oceans should also be very full of foliage and creatures with the rarer ones a little more common now. And if you noticed, yes, the southern and eastern sea floors have been levelled along the edge. I know it looks a little off from that, but it makes it so much easier to plug in the future landscapes I plan to add to increase the size of the map exponentially.

Anyone take down the bosses legit yet? Need to know if they are too overpowered or just right.

And Wolf, I believe your error is fixed now. Let me know if any more issues with it.

Updates should slow donw considerably now. Contest starts on the 4-1-16 now. Hopefully that's not an April Fool's joke, but anyway, from now till then will only be bug fixes and possibly slight adjustments on spawn numbers. Which leads me to a question for everyone, how are spawns for you? With the latest updates I made some cosmetic changes but biggest change was to spawns. Should be way more dinos now and I'm thinking possibly even too many. What are your thoughts? Is it good now or too many? And play for a little bit, because on my server I did a killwilddinos command and reset it, and after a while it has become almose flooded with dinos. I'm thinking the new spawns are perfect or slightly too much but curious about others thoughts.

A couple of my server users found a bug that if they fly up and keep going, they die instantly as well as their mount.

Boss fights now all have unique armor and weapons. Full sets of armor and each have at least 1 unique weapon. When killed, bosses give everyone in the area a full set of varying qualities, journeyman through ascendant. The gear is powerful and unique looking, so people will see you wearing it. Weapons are also either powerful or highly specialized. Since they've changed the start of the contest, updates will continue but probably not at such a frantic pace. I hope you guys are enjoying the new supply drops and they raid content. If anyone has actually defeated a boss without cheats, would love to hear about it. Owlf-The Outcast-, Looking at your screen shot, its an oil node that's not rendering correctly, I flew around the area and I didn't see it. If on singleplayer or as an admin on a server, if you type showmyadminmanager iin the upperleft corner will be x,y coordinates. If you can find them, I'll definitely do something but I couldn't locate it by flying around. I check though every time I'm in that area.
