Honestly, I don't really know if you'd have any bugs. I imagine that there might be a problem with some of the new Forgotten heros added in (maybe or maybe not). Definitely try it out and see if it works for you. The worst that can happen is that it'll give you game errors while the mod is loaded.

Expanded Heroes is now part of the Tales of Auriga base mod. You no longer need this mod if you're running Tales of Auriga

v0.007: Ardent Mage, Cultists, Forgotten and Wild Walker Base Heroes (ie created by Amplitude) have been adjusted to use the new role system; adjusted the skills on many of the heroes already added with the mod.

@Fornsworth I might add in some new hero types in my main mod, but it's a lot more work. It's not really a super simple affair. It's a down the road thing if I do it.

@Acharius If you get a program like Notepad ++ and open up my mod files, it's pretty easy to see what you'd want to do (just follow the pattern you see there). It's like 5-6 files that you'd edit. I'm not sure, but I think that the Aplitude tutorial pdfs might cover adding new heros as well.

Someone who got seperated from the group when they first left the vaults as a child and was raised by Jotus and is now some sort of renouned archer for hire? The whole raised by wolves thing has a nice ring to it. Eh?

@happyinmyhead I plan to add flying/cavalry (that share the same tree) heroes in my other mod. Because this is an extension mod, I can't really make huge adjustments.

I'll see about Eslek specifically, but I don't exactly want to mess with an Amplitude special event thingie.

I just thought I'd let you know since you currently have the monopoly on hero mods, ^_^,
Eslek Tarosh, the hero that players can unlock during the Endless Day event, Is currently unobtainable in modded games.

EL checks to see if a player has the endless day acievement before it decides if Eslek can appear in the hero market and, since activating mods de-activates achievements, nobody playing with mods can have him in game unless they play during the endless day event.

I dunno if you would wanna add him in with this mod or make a simple standalone mod that activates him in modded games. You could even just add to the list of quests you're planning for your other mod by adding the endless day quest to be active 24/7.
Either way, I'm sure we'd all like to have the only flying hero in our games. ^_^
Plus, he being a flying unit, his skill tree could serve as the base for your flying hero types.

@Crazygear It's in the works. I'm doing a complete rework of all the hero skills for my main mod, Tales of Auriga. There is going to be a Flying/Cavalry skill tree; it'll just be a shared tree, since flying and cavalry are so similar.

Absoultly love this idea would love to see Flying/Cavalry skill trees are there are just not any aside from the flyer you get once a year more or less. Keep up the great work will be following :D

I like the idea to expand heroes but this mod icon is so disgusting, inappropriate and out of Endless lore that all I need is to forget about this mod existance.

@happinmyhead I want to do each faction in batches of 10, and then add more till it's at 40+ It really adjusts the varietyand makes it so that each game you can't count on getting specific heros. I'll probably do minor factions as well, once I do some more diting of hero skills.

Again, the main thing with adding in new units/heros is that I'd want to create a skill tree for them. and it's a little more complicated

When I do it, I'll probably also add flying/cavalry skill trees to the game, and also offer more varety in each faction (so you might have a ranged or support Cultist hero, for example).

on the topic of profile pics for heroes, you could probably get away with cropping some of the art Amplitude uses elsewhere.

I'll be keeping an eye on this mod. Really interesting.
I'll probably use it when every faction has units and "numbered" heroes are consequently removed.
You may want to consider reducing the number of heroes you're making for each faction and include minor faction heroes. Just a thought, it would certainly add variety.

@KnightofPhoenix It would be a lot of work to create new art for each new hero, and I kind of don't want to break the style that Amplitude established for the game. We might add a few new pictures in, but mostly we'll just reuse the base profiel pics (although all spies, govenors, generals, etc. do share the same profile pic to make it easier to identify their roles!)

Changing the unit classes is a lot more challenging. I might dabble in it someday down the line, but I have a lot I already want to do (like new quests and a few hundred more heroes).

Melee equipped WW hero generals would be excellent. would probably convince me to put down the Broken Lords for a time. Maybe to much to ask? as i see you are only editing basic stats....
