The interior aesthetics look amazing in these pics, I really do like the scaffolding/catwalk and the storage shelves. Great industrial sort of bunker feel, Seems a bit strange with the rather peaceful exterior though, but ah well. Looks good.

how did you get the special text and borders work really hard on my maps and maybe some flare would get more people to play also try using things other then just crates for cover on the outside

Really good map of which bits I would love to add to my maps are the 1) crate room which I think would give and attacking team a reliable place to put respawns and encourage the defending team to put radars to stop this. 2) Ventilation shafts as they allow for an easy alternative way to access the cube and 3) The area around the base is well thought out with many sets of stairs and walkways.

However as you are asking for improvements and as this is a new map looking for things to make it better here is my list things to change: 1) The middle is too big and bare and i think as it is the only premade way to get across it makes it too expensive to bridge across let alone make a bb bridge, 2) Eventhough the map is mirrored it is still possible to change things after like how by the cube there is 2 health cubes 1 of which could be changed for ammo and also having 2 radars next to eachother and having 2 sets of health :heal: and ammo in the same room of them makes more time consuming for hiding them aswell as a waste of a radar :goldradar:. 3) It would be better to have a route straight from the main spawn :respawn: to the base as otherwise players just mine through where there could be a premade path,

4) There should be other stuff in the middle to allow for more than 1 supply drop location, 5) The turrets :buddy: are pointless as they are far away and it is easy for the offense to take them out aswell as making it longer to attack, 6) There are too many hollow pointless parts of buildings that allow for alot of cuts and the map to be completely changed and finally 7) There are too many paths and routes to go everywhere which means alot of the map isn't used and players can get lost aswell as disappear from the enemies sight in seconds because of the many tunnels.

Welldone on making this map which I had lots of fun playing on :steamhappy:

The Good!

Great use of the media section within the Workshop Description, the attracts pulled me in, made me want to look at the arena, and more importantly play the arena

The arena has ‘a lot’ of promise

Great play space

Great sense of scale

Interesting build language that can be really pulled out more to establish this futuristic military base.

From a 1st glance, that central bridge is a good critical path but the two flanking routes either die offer nothing else. A good arena should have 3 lanes of play, think about having something else to help flanking. This whole area I would say at 1st glance is the main section that needs addressing 1st. This would also help establish additional supply crate locales also.

Because of the scale, a generator/objective where the tree is in the front middle would be a great touch.

Frnt flanking stairs up to 1st landing, move them both in rather than having them out to the sides.

No build zones outside spawn huts, you need ‘something’, I’ll let you work out how much you need and where.

Décor Items – there’s A LOT of them. An arena released for mass consumption will be requested to minimise throughout. In all fairness, sculpting/material/deform tool is your friend.

Flanking rooms – suggest keeping one as is but the opposite side a different thematic. Good example one side is Cargo Hold (containers/supplies) and the opposite could be Vehicle Depot. This helps with sign posting and player communications.

Establish the front facing defences with something a little more ‘support’. Just have a look at a few images of castle defences on internet.

Turret locations. In two minds here, half of me likes the established setup but another part of me thinks I’d like to establish the ‘nest’ to encourage players build

Rear flanking lookout towers, give players access onto a balcony, reduce the windows (not needed all of those)

All trees need to be separated from each other and other objects, also think about mixing the styles up or even building your own to fit the scene.

One last thing, get 4 other people in with you and ‘test’ the cuts in the build phase. Let’s see how much of the scene gets completely stripped back.

This is a good level, my only recommendations are you add a cube and move the back cube to higher ground, otherwise it will just be rockets and bomb drops all day and will be no fun to defend on. Remember that maps with one cube will go in the newb queue. :P
