The majority of my workshop are difficult maps. My easiest map would be Brainpower if you like check it out.
sum2jar 30 May, 2022 @ 2:47pm
Very cool, but so very hard...
Brave  [author] 8 Aug, 2020 @ 7:40am
You might want to read this link (for help) before using the (class) func_precipitation. For me at the time I found that the snowfall works the best. Change the type to snowfall and make adjustments on the numbers. https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Precipitation_issues
Portal2Player 8 Aug, 2020 @ 6:46am
what was the particals you used for the snow?
zeo1337 8 Mar, 2019 @ 3:49pm
I really like this one. That barrel tho.
snowhog 28 Jan, 2019 @ 3:21pm
I was almost going to give up; several times; but I finally solved it! Nice chamber. It should have a higher rating IMO.
kimist108 6 Apr, 2018 @ 3:42pm
Well, some I started and didn't finish. Some, I don't remember at all. I think there is one more map that is in your workshop that I have not played.
Brave  [author] 5 Apr, 2018 @ 7:17pm
Wow, I guess there was still a fair amount of my workshop maps that you haven't got around to playing yet unless you're replaying them?! But, at least you had fun with the mannequin.. lol. Thanks for playing, kimist!
kimist108 5 Apr, 2018 @ 4:50pm
So sad that I could not go out and play with the snowman. I did play with the 'mannequin' hanging from the ceiling.
Xonoxt 23 Feb, 2018 @ 3:58am
thanks
Brave  [author] 22 Feb, 2018 @ 4:45pm
The laser turret has only one purpose. To protect the pedestal button from the player reaching it. If I didn't answer your question correctly then let me know.
Xonoxt 22 Feb, 2018 @ 8:43am
is the lazer turet sopsto only shot the lazer stat? sorry for may bad english

Nice work! I got stuck at the part where portal orientation matters with the gel + bridge but managed to figure it out. Here's my playthrough: https://youtu.be/D6ar9SNk6ec
commander2005 14 Aug, 2016 @ 3:10pm
Oh Yeah! Thank you!
Brave  [author] 14 Aug, 2016 @ 2:28pm
@commander2005. It's good to see you're back playing portal again.:steamhappy:
commander2005 14 Aug, 2016 @ 12:39pm
Very well designed map, cool "story", cool ideas. Fun with the beasty radio :)
The acrobatic moves you have to do in the cellar are a bit hard (jumping part)... it tooks me more than 20 minutes. Such moves should be easier. - Like.
jgaultney 7 May, 2016 @ 10:03am
:taloslol: I noticed the cup on the replay but had to go back to read it.
All I can say is, it must have been the guy hanging from the rope. :steammocking:
Brave  [author] 7 May, 2016 @ 9:20am
Yeah, that's an unfortunate bug (the gel disappearing act) that can't be remedy if the player dies or loads their save point where the gel disappears from the light bridge only!

Question. Did you notice in the cabin going up the stairs on the banister a mug and if so did you read what it says?

Thanks for playing the map again, jgaulteny.:steamhappy:
jgaultney 7 May, 2016 @ 7:54am
I just replayed the update. I think the new skybox looks great! Screenshot
I see you added a (small) new twist to getting the cube. :)
In the basement puzzle, reaching the bridge the intended way didn't seem to work for me
in the original map but works just fine in the update. It was most likely just me. :)
'Losing the gel' bug on an F7 while getting the sphere is annoying but I understand that's
not something you can do anything about.
A very good and enjoyable map. I don't know why I didn't favorite it before, that oversight
has been corrected!
SixSeraph 1 May, 2016 @ 2:24pm
thanks
Also great map, very unique :steamhappy:
Brave  [author] 1 May, 2016 @ 7:05am
I have a walkthrou video if you like to watch it on how to get pass the Angry sphere or you can read my spoiler if you like. After having bounce gel applied onto the light bridge under the Angry sphere jump over to the bump back wall and wait, stand there for the Angry sphere to turn looking in your direction. At that point it'll be safe to make your jump bouncing off the light bridge applied with gel to the upper area to press the pedestal button.
SixSeraph 1 May, 2016 @ 2:14am
i can't get past the Angry sphere plz help meh :steamsalty: :steamsad:
Brave  [author] 11 Mar, 2016 @ 4:29pm
Thanks for playing.:steamhappy:
Andi 11 Mar, 2016 @ 12:29pm
That took some time. Very well done as always, thumbs up.
Brave  [author] 4 Mar, 2016 @ 6:16am
Thanks for playing, jandlml.
jandlml 3 Mar, 2016 @ 9:22pm
wow that was really good, took me forever to get that gel part kept dying.
Brave  [author] 22 Jan, 2016 @ 1:02pm
Batter up, vallibus! Thanks for playing and leaving an amusing comment.
vallibus 22 Jan, 2016 @ 9:13am
Ay carumba! I spent half of my time on this map gettin' the cube into the cabin. Sigh. You successfully diverted my attention from the obvious solution. The lower chamber was interesting, too. But I'd like to introduce the "angry sphere" to a Louisville Slugger. Another entertaining Brave map.
Brave  [author] 22 Jan, 2016 @ 6:23am
Thanks for playing, Spaceminnow. Maybe one day you'll come back and complete the rest of the map. The underground bunker is designed to be unforgiving, but I made sure to add a few checkpoints.

I have a walkthrough .dem if you like to watch it. Go to page 3. You'll have to download it from my dropbox.
Spaceminnow 21 Jan, 2016 @ 3:56pm
Maybe I will try again later :( Got a little depressed watching my character die so much...
Spaceminnow 21 Jan, 2016 @ 3:51pm
had a really hard time with that moving barrel. Was a huge death loop for me :( Hats off to another beautiful looking eye candy puzzle. Looks great! :)
Brave  [author] 20 Jan, 2016 @ 5:33pm
Angry camera? Did I get my info wrong in writing Angry sphere in the description... lol?! Thanks, h99pilot and djbatcat for playing and leaving a comment.
Theezakje 20 Jan, 2016 @ 1:14pm
Angry camera's laser didn't track my position :0
h99pilot 20 Jan, 2016 @ 9:38am
That rail car must have killed me 10 times...lol. Oh, and the angry camera got me several times as well. Great treat to find your new puzzle. Thanks !
Brave  [author] 17 Jan, 2016 @ 8:39am
Your second comment made me feel better. I'm glad that you enjoyed the map. Thanks for playing, JMSLD_
JMSLD_ 17 Jan, 2016 @ 5:34am
...and as soon as I commented, I completed it. Good god almighty what a map! Absolutely brilliant. completely different from your "normal" portal map - that's something that makes it so good. Took me a good hour and a half to finish!
JMSLD_ 17 Jan, 2016 @ 5:20am
I must have tried 40 or 50 times to get onto the platform to the pedestal button (using the gel on the light bridge) without getting shot by the laser... What the hell!?! Is it even possible, or am I doing something wrong?!
Brave  [author] 16 Jan, 2016 @ 6:18am
Unfortunately it's a portal glitch with any PTI or Hammer map! The player loading a save point and the gel disappears on the light bridge. (I also hate that too!) I made a .dem solving the map if you know how to play a .dem you're welcome to watch it. Look for it on page two.
Thanks, ksnyder for playing and leaving a comment.
ksnyder 15 Jan, 2016 @ 5:42pm
Since I knew it would take multiple attemps, I saved the part after flinging the goo onto the light bridge below the sphere. Unfortunatly when I attempt to restore to saved position, the goo is gone making me go though the steps over and over to coat the light bridge. I love your maps, will wait for a walkthrough to see the end
n/a 14 Jan, 2016 @ 1:23am
Very strange
Brave  [author] 13 Jan, 2016 @ 8:02am
Thanks for playing, and leaving a nice concise comment about the map. It's funny you'd mention "random sinking floor tiles," That idea came to mind two days before publishing this map. I thought it would be cool and silly to have a depressing floor making the player think, will this kill me if I stand on it to long.
Donkey Kong and the oil drum. Great reference! I almost forgotten that game, thats how long it's been for me.
About the observation room. I like the one-way glass panel look there, but I also considered a brush (func_detail) with glass texture as well.
Anachronistic ALLOS 13 Jan, 2016 @ 3:35am
I liked that. While it wasn't a traditional sort of Portal puzzle, not completely anyways, I'm quite fond of the puzzles you work and the particular aesthetic design.

That random section of floor with the sinking tiles rather reminded me of the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets PC game, in several reminiscent design aspects. That's a compliment, as I loved playing that game, evident with my workshop map Mapname 2 which is based a bit after that.

Also, when I woke up today, I didn't think I'd have to be avoiding an oil drum barreling towards me and breaking my ankles, in Portal 2. Going partial Donkey Kong here. I will say though, when you use the observation room windows in a situation where you can stand on both side of the window, you should really double up the prop so you can see the glass from both sides. Or at least put down a brush with glass textures on both sides.
Brave  [author] 12 Jan, 2016 @ 1:56pm
Yeah, it's fun grabbing hold to the Mannequin and flinging it over the place!:steamhappy:
Thanks, Dave.
Fatso 12 Jan, 2016 @ 11:29am
Took me some time to get around to playing this one. I must say you did a great job with how this map looks and feels, from the layout and design, to the detail you put into the little things that make this feel like a cabin in the snow. The puzzles was well thought out, but not so difficult that one can't figure it out with a little brain power. Love the humor with the maniquin had fun swinging him around. I will say Brave I don't play many map theses days but I look forward to yours. Hope to play more in the future.
Brave  [author] 11 Jan, 2016 @ 6:25pm
quatrus. Thanks for playing.

atommalac. A map wreck with many casualties... lol. I hope you don't give up on the map, I do have checkpoints thoughout the map.
zazaza 11 Jan, 2016 @ 2:27pm
Very interesting and cool looking map. I can't say anything about the puzzle because it's all too frustrating for me to try and figure out by dying a million times...
quatrus 11 Jan, 2016 @ 12:24pm
Very unusual map....kind of fun poking around and playing with the gel....thanks for creating again.
Brave  [author] 11 Jan, 2016 @ 10:39am
You're welcome, kdlandis89. Thanks for playing.
CaptainVorton 11 Jan, 2016 @ 7:42am
thank you
Brave  [author] 10 Jan, 2016 @ 2:27pm
Thanks, Beast man, I really appreciate your comment very much. Also, I know the feeling finding quality time in map making!

Thanks, Zoraya for playing and not giving up on the map, i'm glad to hear you finished it. It's funny, I didn't look at that part of the puzzle to involve some sort of acrobatic moves. Maybe it's because I played that part over and over again that the maneuver became natural to me!

I made a .dem for you or anyone to watch how I intended the map to be solved click here [www.dropbox.com]

I may evenually change the .dem over to a youtube video.
