Yeah, the land you have marked as fertile no longer exists and it is mostly all houses now in the Newport News/York County area.

Yeah, it worked for me too and I thought it was a great map. What I said had nothing to do with the map, but the irony of "space conservation is critical" on a map of a region of VA that in real life is run by a bunch of monkeys who have so overbuilt and continue to overbuild that, as in the case of downtown Norfolk, the entire place floods just because of a little rain. And still they keep on pouring the concrete and asphalt... and running useless tram lines straight through the busiest intersections in the city.

I don't know how you even thought what I said had anything at all to do with your map.

ROFLwut? -this map is 2 years old. this map worked fine for me back then. maybe an update broke it. no need to ge pissy....oh hey here's an idea. go handbuild your own map.........jackass

"This map isn't for everyone. It's definately an advanced map where space conservation is critical,..." - "Space conservation = shoehorn anything and everything you can into the tiniest space possible and run a metro line straight across one of the busiest intersections in downtown Norfolk.

Sure, the entire place floods whenever somebody flushes their toilet but we're going to keep building anyway.

As I live in Virginia Beach, I am disappointed that the bridge-tunnel is not present. But still, an amazing map.
I would love if you made another with more of Virginia Beach in it.

I too live in Williamsburg. This map is really realistic. I might just use it

Lived in NN for 8 years and hated the traffic to no end but loved being able to go to the beach. Thanks for the map.

@vonmillard This map isn't for everyone. It's definately an advanced map where space conservation is critical, as is in most urban planning situations. The size and frequency of the highways indicate this map is built for almost 100% high density as in real life. of course you can always open this map up in the editor and erase the highways and whatenot to your liking.

Free Space for building?

This is great. I have always wanted to redesign some of the highways, especially the tunnels, connecting out of Norfolk

yeah i spent some time at NASA Langley, that place is awesome, insane traffic though (2- lane tunnel, cmon!), it inspired me to put 6-lanes everywhere
