Usually it's because the workshop mangles the .mod files so the game doesn't load them, you try the moddb version?
Conquistador 11 Aug @ 5:28pm
This doesn't work for me at all. Is there something with Holy Fury that made it so that the decision does not show up?
st_magus 2 Dec, 2024 @ 5:57pm
Awesome mod, thank you. I use it all the time.
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 9 Apr, 2024 @ 1:29pm
it's only for when they are at war.
Murder of Crows 9 Apr, 2024 @ 1:10pm
My ruler's wife holds a duchy on her own. I want to gift her troops, but the selection is grayed out (says she's at war). She is not at war. Is it because he's her liege?

I used this mod a few years back when I was playing CK2 & it worked like a dream then.
Candesco 19 Jan, 2024 @ 6:30am
It cost money to do this and the more you gift the more it cost. As the modmaker himself already said it's treated as mercenaries, with the exception that there is no penalty or so. You gift them, they pop up at the capital of the one you gifted and they remain until they are destroyed.
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 19 Jan, 2024 @ 1:19am
iirc, it costs money to gift the troops, basically it's treated like hiring mercs for them.
wf1675 18 Jan, 2024 @ 6:33pm
could there be a levy penalty when you send troops? what is stopping you from say engaging in wars with your army while supporting several country and hiring troops for your vassals that are participating in the war you started?
wf1675 18 Jan, 2024 @ 5:58pm
one small question where to the troops come from? are they the best of your levy troops? or do they just spawn in as mercenaries that you hired for a friend because they are wayyyyyy cheaper than mercenaries
Candesco 27 Aug, 2023 @ 6:37am
Works like a charm. I'm playing version 3.0.0.1 (since i use some old mods which work on that version) and use it often for my vassals (which are then often also from my dynasty)
Cause sometimes it happens a duchess from my empire declares then war to a neighbouring kingdom and that kingdom has then offcourse far more power, which would then result into ultimate defeat and the chance to be prisoner. And as liege i can't join wars of my vassals, so i gift them then troops.
Candesco 27 Aug, 2023 @ 6:19am
@Lance
No, it's only for your character.
Lance 28 Mar, 2020 @ 3:46am
Can the AI do this as well, and if so how likely are they to do so?
Star¤Dagger 6 Jul, 2019 @ 5:40pm
@Generic David, I just made the changes you suggested, I hope it works.

@SinStar87, thank for the mod, you are simulating something that adds greatly to the immersion factor. As mentioned above, I've modded it so that I can gift troops to any landed entity, which is the most accurate historically, and should probably be the default setting, as it is a ruler's right to do whatever the frack She wants to with them.
Star¤Dagger 2 Jul, 2019 @ 5:38pm
This mod should have been in the game, version 1.0

Paradox should be paying you in 500 euro bills and at least TWO Russian concubines!
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 9:16am
should
Kelvin Y 9 May, 2019 @ 4:10pm
ok. Thank you. .It is a great mod for me. :steamhappy:
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 9 May, 2019 @ 4:08pm
yes
Kelvin Y 9 May, 2019 @ 4:06pm
So you can only gift troop to someone during the war, right? Will the troop disappear after the war?
♜ Thebesj ♜ 3 May, 2019 @ 7:19am
A simple, yet great mod :D
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 31 Mar, 2019 @ 4:34pm
It's the same code for agot as vanilla so only difference is whether or not it has the dependency line, the issue is somethings busted in agot that's blocking this mod's code.
Drovan 31 Mar, 2019 @ 4:14pm
Ah, yeah, I suppose there's not much you can do unless you make a version of the mod specifically for AGOT. Not gonna ask for that, since you're busy with Middle Earth but give it a thought. Thanks for your work
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 31 Mar, 2019 @ 4:06pm
if it works without agot and not with agot, I imagine there's issues with agot. Towards that, I know it was so messed up that it broke the validator when I checked my mods against it for updating.
Drovan 31 Mar, 2019 @ 3:54pm
This mod usually works but for some reason in AGOT it doesn't, despite adding the dependency. Any ideas why?
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 30 Jan, 2019 @ 6:11am
you have to add a dependency to the .mod file
Krasto Nero 30 Jan, 2019 @ 4:35am
Fantastic mod!! I use several of your mods in my playthroughs, thank you!!! Will this work with the Game of Thrones mod? I believe it did at one point, maybe, but I do not see the option in the intrigue window anymore in the newest mod version. Any thoughts?
Silverain 21 Jan, 2019 @ 10:23am
As a merchant Republic this is amazing for helping those distant landed members of my family.
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 19 Jan, 2019 @ 12:28pm
second one.
Unnamed_Shadow 19 Jan, 2019 @ 12:27pm
Are the gifted troops part of your limit? Or this just gives them X number of soldiers as a gift?
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 3 Jan, 2019 @ 12:45pm
Added the mechanic?
Deserter Dave 3 Jan, 2019 @ 12:08pm
holy fury?
abel1717 27 Nov, 2018 @ 9:35pm
You are the best.
jglennv1 27 Nov, 2018 @ 9:28pm
Thank you for this mod. Now my family will not easily leave power.
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 27 Nov, 2018 @ 8:20pm
:) Added my saviour modifier
abel1717 27 Nov, 2018 @ 7:39pm
lol. I would expect some love in return lol. By the way, I love your Mods. I can't play without this one. In fact in my mod description I recommend it.
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 26 Nov, 2018 @ 11:30am
Guess the joy of gift-giving's not good enough?
abel1717 26 Nov, 2018 @ 11:13am
When I help someone at war by giving troops, I expect some appreciation: like in similar situations (e.g., gift in gold, or granting a land or honorary award) where they like me more.
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 12 Aug, 2018 @ 2:15pm
should
Maenad 12 Aug, 2018 @ 2:07pm
I see you're online, will this work with the current version of the game?
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 27 Apr, 2018 @ 8:38pm
remove the ai = no code from decision. But it's not designed for that.
Zeloraz 27 Apr, 2018 @ 8:32pm
@any way to allow Npcs to use this option? Feels a bit game breaking otherwise.
abel1717 27 Apr, 2018 @ 7:33pm
Awesome!
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 27 Apr, 2018 @ 7:20pm
@zeloraz @abel1717 It is player only.
abel1717 27 Apr, 2018 @ 1:20pm
How can I make this option available for human players only? I mean, that only players can "give troops."
Zeloraz 13 Feb, 2018 @ 11:34pm
Do the Npcs use this decision as well?
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug 19 Oct, 2017 @ 8:00pm
I love these mods, it makes it so when I'm waiting for threat to cooldown after a round of conquests, I can still use my armies to influence the world in my favor.

With both this and the join all the wars mod I can fight proxy wars to soften larger threats and prepare them for conquering, adding a very difficult but very rewarding dynamic to the game.

It can also be used when I have a truce with some young ruler and they have someone trying to take their throne so I can backstab them when their armies are weakened and I give only what is needed to push the war in their favor. No truce and weak armies. Noice.

Well, as long as the opportunities arise anyway. But isn't that what CK2 is? Exploiting opportunities and betraying your closest allies and friends when it suits your ambitions?
a-really-big-cat 18 Sep, 2017 @ 10:38am
@SinStar87 OKay, It's jsut the previous comments seemed to indicate that it wasn't working properly, and there wasn't any word saying it had been fixed.
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 16 Sep, 2017 @ 5:33pm
you can add an any_spouse section with the any_friend section

it shouldn't be broken?
a-really-big-cat 16 Sep, 2017 @ 3:54pm
I want to gift troops to my wife who is an independent ruler. How can I edit the mod files to make that possible (i don't want to remove all restrictions)?

And has this mod been fixed since Monks and Mystics came out??
SinStar87 (He/Him)  [author] 9 Mar, 2017 @ 4:10pm
:) Well good luck with the scenario, I hope it helps.
Gate Captain Hervis 9 Mar, 2017 @ 3:53pm
i banned all wars with my vassals but somehow one king changed the law for his title, so this is my way to stop him from invading other nations.
