I'm not sure if I'm just rusty, but after starting a game on this map after not playing it for a very long time, something weird happened. Basically, I tried to expand early as usual but technology slowed to a crawl. By 2010 I think nobody had gunpowder or even steel. Really weird.

@TK whenever I load the map it gives me the option to start scenario. That scenario is being the mongols in the scenario rise of the mongols and I can't get rid of it. I can only choose that scanario with your map and i dont want to. Any advice?

Wojtazz: It is possible. The mapmod changes some granary values (due to rice and maize), which could overlap with Exclusive Wonders. I don't know for sure though.

I feel a status update regarding my progress with the map should be given: I've got important exams coming up 21st day, therefore progress has temporarily slowed a lot.

@wat: An additional note: you may want to wait until I finish implementing for this map the same advanced setup as is used in ynaemp ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=77138438 ); it would enable you to more flexibly setup turn 1 save games with realistic spawns to load in multi if you want to go through that hassle.

Whelp, I promised that I would play this, and play I did.

The enormity of the map itself simply makes me happy. Now it takes much longer to explore the world and makes it much harder to explore. At Turn 260 something, I still explored little more than Europe (My starting continent). Two other nations spawned on the same continent, and I conquered them both. The natural obstacles you added makes it much more realistic to invade (Getting past those mountains by Spain was hard. I had to leave myself open to barbarians before declaring war).

There are a lot more resources on a single continent also, which makes me a LOT more happy. I don't have to scour the entire planet to find Uranium or Horses anymore.

One problem: Ghandi gets more Uranium.

It has to be some silly issue with the map using marsh-features on tundra tiles for example. Such a thing doesn't exist in the basegame. Or perhaps it is the custom resources. I've no idea how to approach a bug like this, as I've never used the IGE. :| I guess I can try taking a look at it for the next release, but I wouldn't expect much results out of it.

It says IGE can't start because of another mod (it works fine with all the other mods I try). It mentions "attempt to index local terrain (a nil value).

@werewolflord: I am not interested in dividing my modding time to other projects than this, and this will take a while to complete. The current scenario is just a placeholder for a better system where players can setup their own scenarios. Egypt can still settle the hill tile on mediterranean coast or move the initial settler. The atoll-cyprus will likely happen, I guess I just forgot it.

could you make an old world map without americas, this would allow to add a few civ (i am thinking about indonesia, marocco, polonia/kiev and riga or a middle east civ, persia?), or differents scenarios with roma or even only europe and north africa
and while i am here, why egyptia is so close to sea, one tile downer would allow to found a coastal city?
and why not add an atoll or tile for chypria

Dang map given some resources, and a scenario! I still think it needs fine-tuning in many parts, but I guess I can release a playable version and call it an alpha. :)

@Dinek0505PL: Open Civ 5. --> Click "Mods" --> Enable "TK's Huge Earth" -mod --> Click "Next" --> Click "Single Player" --> Map should be in list. :)

@Dinek0505PL: What do you mean? If you do not see anything in your mods -folder, then it is a steam issue. Do notice, that you need to go into mods and activate it before the map shows on your maplist
