that's because this version works only from before Shadowrun HK was updated.

seems like every time I try to enter the matrix or by decking stuff, the game totally freeezes?
Harebrained Schemes and companeis like them are actually tiny fish in a huge ocean and they honestly need people like you to help keeping these games a viable venture since they already skate so close to the edge. I'm honestly just happy that Necropolis failing didn't kill them. They are about the size of studio that can die from one unsuccessful game.
TBH the bugs you speak of that cannot be fixed with mods can't be too crazy, I've had several playthroughs of the game and I don't even know what you speak of. As someone who has spent so much time improving their game with your mod I thank you for your hard work, but you might have to step back and realize that your experience is very different from the average customer just playing the game through.
As video game QA I turn the QA side of my brain off when I play games. Otherwise I could nit pick even my favorite games to death lol.
As far as HBS I wasn't going to get into Battletech, but my brother is really into that universe and he assured me that the Roguetech mod functioned properly even without mod support. As soon as the two of us started playing it we noticed we could not save games. I'm done with HBS until they prove they'll support their games properly.
I can't remember how, but I actually "fixed" the Steam version bug myself, maybe by turning on/off cloud support or something? I honestly can't quite remember but I know I only figured it out myself (should be an old post on the HK Steam forums somewhere about it). All I know is that HK EE works again for me on Steam when it definitely didn't (and HBS couldn't find the issue) before.
it seemed like it would have been a blast too, having all those additions to the main game i mean.
Who knows, maybe if were lucky we'll see an updated release that Does work with KH Extended (and also the bonus story campain that was added with KH Extrended. it actually be nice to see that one fleshed out properly, heard alot of complains that it felt like a payed obligation rather then an actual continuation of the post game story after the events that occur at the end of the original campaign events.I haven't checked it myself yet but uh, lets just say the most common issue i heard was "mobs in large quantity doesn't always equal greater gameplay quality" - just to leave it spoiler free here)
this mod is not working because it wasn't updated when the extension to Shadowrun : Hong Kong was released
you can play the original one plenty fine. this mod was more intended for replay with a fully grown character
Imported deckers... The black screen "mynameistroll8000" problem can be solved by reinstalling a data jack. HK uses slot names with their cyberware, as opposed to older versions (and many other UGCs) only listing them as datajacks. That should solve your problem.
no. the problem is that any imported chracters into THIS mod can't trade or dive into the matrix because it'll crash the mod.
until it's fixed or reworked, it's just not playable, very sad
