quick question - haven't had that much time playing the game and experimenting around with scenarios, do I need to subscribe to all of the stand-alones first or can I just jump in?

@wolverind you say the lander has some reasources, yet i find NOTHING but some ice in the cargo

Great starter world for those who prefer scavenging to mining.

The only wrinkle is that the other crashed ships have no resources,

It's the same set up as the star system preset when creating a new world, if you mean pirate bases in on planets it doesn't have those, it does have normal pirates which attack you in space though.
