I destroyed all the armor before blowing the tower but then noting happens!!!

I have absolutely no idea what is happening and how to accomplish this mission.
I do not even understand what's happening when the scenario starts. A bunch of cut-scenes, why?
I'm killed almost immediately; there's too much action at the start. I do not know what to do.
