normally u have to leave a gap between 2 blocks for archers with this wall walk block also?
im not 100% sure this issue as anything to do with robo's mod
as i've noticed the same, with items that are not part of his mod,
(or at least im pretty sure,,, its been quite some time since i played gnomoria...)
altho it kinda sucks,
only current work-around i've found that works,
is having debug mode turned on, and using the command thats clears everything on the current yellow tile, then using cancel job to get rid of the yellow tile
(i noticed this issue for me was when i'd have a green tile on a stockpile area, that would never been stocked, and a yellow tile on said item thats suppose to be sorted)
my issues it tended to be with the dirt piles, and cotton piles :<

hope that helps for now? :)
Then you will get a list of doors to place and the graveyarddoor is there.
It should be in the menu with the other doors.
So build one in the workshop and then use the menu to place it.
Building material is used for the roofs (inclines) and yes should also be used for columns.
The blacksmith (or is it the metalworker?) can create "building material" from bars. However, those can't be constructed into columns. As a matter of fact I am not sure where to use them, since all terrain features using metal are built straight away out of bars.
This could be my problem with modsouping though: on the workshop queue, two 'bulinding material' options appear, one with separate words (building material) and another one just below it, with joined words (buildingmaterial). So I am not sure if there is indeed a problem or if my installation is bugged somehow.
Thought it was worth mentioning, though!
It worked! The changes are already working in my previous savegames.
Interesting, once you choose a mod and start a game, that savegame is stuck with the mods you chose, but when a mod is improved or changed in any way, steam uptates it automatically and the savegame incorporates the changes. Now that's something to think about: you can't alter what mods were enabled after you start a game, but the already enabled mods can be updated? Adapting savegames in terms of what mods are enabled or not may not be so impossible.
Thanks again Roboute. The 'fortress' build items give Gnomoria such a new flair, I just couldn't go back to vanilla.
I cannot make new entries there so I just left them under furniture in the bottom, they still have their new group in the right click menu so both menu's should now be functional.
The new fortress menu entry under build will contain all the new furniture blocks, so the list is smaller and more manageable.
I'm afraid I have no idea how to fix this :(
The akwardness of the right-click menu is a known issue, which is the reason I use only the bottom screen buttons for some of my GUI interactions (specially the ones with dozens of different itens to choose from, since those are going to be the ones with lists too long to fit the right-click menu to begin with). This led me to, for a while, not even know that the grave items existed!
I konw I am overexplaining this ... this game is so great that it deserves being scrurtnized thoroughly to catch all those loopholes.
Now to the actual issue: Roboute, is this it just a matter of the items not being enabled to appear both it the bottom-screen buttons, as they are in the right-click menu?
The new GRAVE, GRAVEYARD WALL and GRAVEYARD CORNER behave a little odd. Maybe this is a screen size issue or something, but perhaps I ran into a problem. So here it is.
Those three items never appeared in my build tool of choice, which is the small buttons on the bottom of the screen. Whenever I open the build queue from there, the three pieces never appear there listed as building options. I always though that was weird: I could never find in-game the grave items showed in the screenshots here in steamworks. "where are they" I was wondering.
Then I found them. They only appear when I open the right-click on-screen menu. If i go stance by stance, starting with 'build' then 'furniture', they appear there. But only there! They are not doubled, as with other items, in the bottom-screen buttons.
lol good job he bearly lasted 5 seconds
he had 4 tower shield units, 2 claymore, a warhammer and a battle axe, 2 duel swords beating on his ass and the little fucker some how managed to target one of my citizen gnomes....
the best thing,,, wasn't the insane number of soldiers pounding him.
the funniest part was the citizen beat it to death, and got the killing blow,,, with a stick...
just a plain pine stick lmao
that'll teach that little fucker to photobomb my screenshots ^.^
In the right click menu go to build -> furniture -> door. There you will find the wood door, stone door and graveyard door.
lol fair does :),
well you've got more courage then me,,, i sadly know my limits :'<...
thats why i wont try to make my own mods, my own game(s)... even if i have got massive amount of ideas for characters, backstories, overall plot, equipment styles and so on...
but all in all :) no worries dude, take your time :D
ofcourse no going starbound on us (an update a year) lol.
sweet to the to do list :P
-----
and finally XD
heres the link to my gatehouse V2 XD
(its double in size, floors ,,,, and number of marble and granite blocks >.<.....)
took roughly 3... to 5 solid days worth of work lol.....had to get it perfect
but digging the mout around the outer edge of my city took the most time tho lol
(my idea is having a time similiar to the mods display icon.. altho square instead of circle... i give up on trying to build skyhold lol)
SADLY :'<.... i forgot to put the blasted corner stones in <crys a man tear>
but all in all it looks bigger, better, more imposing and about 95% complete :P
i've just gotta get round to building a hatch trap,,, where the "welcome mat is" lol
i just hope that ill be able to get each square to open up when i pull the lever lol

let me know what you think :D
<also>
when i get around to building the castle (note thats just the gate house) im planning on having it almost double the size of the gatehouse lmao....
I have them on my list and will try them when I have the time (and found the courage).
I know about the cornerwalls (and round walls) not rotating when you rotate your map, I made that notice in the patchnotes. The problem is that the game does not allow for rotating walls, only for rotating furniture.
If I make them furniture then you cannot build floors on them and so cannot build them higher than 1 high. Since I want them to act like walls I am afraid I cannot make them better than they are now unfortunately :(
P.S. If there is a modder out there that knows of a way to mitigate this then I would love to hear it.
@Robo
could i make a request / suggestion
its in regards to the inclines
when i was building the roof of my guard tower i noticed that i couldn't make a inwards facing incline block (similair to the inward dirt corner ramps)
(currently you have the outward pointcorn corner inclines which are perfect, but if i use the same incline on the inside corners it doesn't quite look like
for example,
W - would be the wall tiles, R - would be the normal inclines/ramps
O - would be the outward corners which are perfect :)
C - is the inward one that im in need off
WWWWR
WCRRRO
WR
WR
RO
would it be possible to add that into the mod
also IF this is possible could you make tweak it so that i could use any type of matieral
like thatch, wood, stone, metal
(that way i'd be able to have some houses with thatch on my barns or animal pens,
wood for lumber mill or market-ish stalls, stone for houses, and metal......for whatever i can use metal lol)
thanks a mill if its possible :D
if its not,, ah well least we tired :p
This is great, as it really allows you to chose at will if you will face the (difficult) harshness of 'winter', or if you will only adopt the excellent buinding options created by Roboute.
Btw Roboute ... I noticed that the round and diagonal 'corners' (building blocks) become odd when you turn the interface. It is as if they only apply on the angle you were facing when you built it, but when turing 90 degrees to either side, they stay the same instead of turning along with everything else. There should be a way to do this right, since many objects in the game have four sides (or rather, a 'front' and a 'back' side, both facing left or right, so when you turn the map, the objects follow correctly).
ahh ... i see XD
no wonder i couldn't find it i never used the right click menu o.O
or least that much... xD
dont get why their isn't the open on the main shortcut tab...
which reminds me... im sure there was one there at one point because i could remember using it to make the thatch inclines
(because i used to use them as strew roofs for my lower on the ladder gnomes :P)
cheers for that again robo :P
i might finally be able to finish my gatehouse now
(its looking epic,,, altho im cursing myself as i forgot to add the corner stones...
(at the time i clicked on about forgetting em, i was going to use the roundcorner stones like my older gatehouse because i didn't see the update thats added more items)
but now i want to use the diagonal ones... altho its going to be a painnnn rebuilding lol...
so im putting it off ripping the walls down again.. because its 5 times bigger then the last one o.O
if this f**ker was real,, and you was standing in front of it,,, theres a chance you'd feel intimidated by it lmao
god damn 1000 word limit >.<
which ones that ?,,
the ramp or the stairs? :S
just tried both only ones that come up are dirt and stone for the ramps,
and plank, block and so on for stairs
They will colour according to the type of building material selected.
i was just wondering where do/where can i find the wooden roof tiles?
(the brown one in screenshot 2 and 3)
im in need of the roof for the guards bunkhouse where the city gate is XD
i spent 5 hours working on my towns main gate XD....
and im still no where near staring it
the rest of my gnomes or digging a mout around the outter edge of my empire :P
while i have 1...2 poor gnomes being slave driven to get my gatehouse created :P
(with marble this time..... altho its not as immersive :P.... the walls are lighter... you'll least be able to find parts of your mod better then you did when it was granite lol)
god forbid!!! i use obsidian lmao <evil laugh>
