Interesting bug I found is that generic storage items added by this mod have the material type as the maker of them.
Roboute  [author] 10 Oct, 2016 @ 7:39am
It's been a while since I worked on this. I think I did not change the values of the block so I guess these will not allow you to shoot though them. I know I did change it for the arrowslith blocks so you can shoot through those.
Askan Helstroem 10 Oct, 2016 @ 6:26am
mhh lil question....could an archer shoot from the wall walk ?
normally u have to leave a gap between 2 blocks for archers with this wall walk block also?
Roboute  [author] 14 Jul, 2016 @ 12:15pm
Tacyn incorporated this mod into his, so no need for both of them.
a Bun 14 Jul, 2016 @ 12:00pm
Is this compatible with Tacyn base mod?
1stReaper 11 Jun, 2016 @ 7:26am
@AStro88
im not 100% sure this issue as anything to do with robo's mod
as i've noticed the same, with items that are not part of his mod,
(or at least im pretty sure,,, its been quite some time since i played gnomoria...)

altho it kinda sucks,
only current work-around i've found that works,
is having debug mode turned on, and using the command thats clears everything on the current yellow tile, then using cancel job to get rid of the yellow tile

(i noticed this issue for me was when i'd have a green tile on a stockpile area, that would never been stocked, and a yellow tile on said item thats suppose to be sorted)
my issues it tended to be with the dirt piles, and cotton piles :<

hope that helps for now? :)
Roboute  [author] 15 Apr, 2016 @ 11:24am
I just checked it and it is in the right click menu under: Build -> Furniture -> Door
Then you will get a list of doors to place and the graveyarddoor is there.
Roboute  [author] 15 Apr, 2016 @ 11:18am
Hmmm it might be due to linux but I don't really think so.
It should be in the menu with the other doors.
cemkalyoncu 15 Apr, 2016 @ 11:00am
What if it doesn't show up? Its not in build menu, along with wooden or stone doors or within any of those. I am on Linux if it changes anything, buildid is 990612. Everything else seems to be in the build menu. Along with this I have flowers mod too.
Roboute  [author] 15 Apr, 2016 @ 3:55am
The graveyard door is placed like all the other doors, from the door menu.
So build one in the workshop and then use the menu to place it.
cemkalyoncu 14 Apr, 2016 @ 8:37pm
How do you place graveyard door?
Roboute  [author] 22 Mar, 2016 @ 2:22am
I'll check it out Drazahir, thanks for reporting it.
[F4] Drazahir 22 Mar, 2016 @ 12:33am
Thanks for the changes to minecarts Roboute :steamhappy:I've noticed another thing, the tinting on metal armor stands seems to be odd. At least mine seems to inherit tinting from the wood used, and I've tried creating new ones after the patch for minecarts and it still seems to be swapped.
Roboute  [author] 15 Mar, 2016 @ 3:25pm
Thanks Daniel, I'll look into it.
Building material is used for the roofs (inclines) and yes should also be used for columns.
danielprates 15 Mar, 2016 @ 3:23pm
Roboute! This one I am not sure if it's intentional or not:

The blacksmith (or is it the metalworker?) can create "building material" from bars. However, those can't be constructed into columns. As a matter of fact I am not sure where to use them, since all terrain features using metal are built straight away out of bars.

This could be my problem with modsouping though: on the workshop queue, two 'bulinding material' options appear, one with separate words (building material) and another one just below it, with joined words (buildingmaterial). So I am not sure if there is indeed a problem or if my installation is bugged somehow.

Thought it was worth mentioning, though!
Rephath 15 Mar, 2016 @ 2:43am
Update: it may be with another mod I am using.
Rephath 14 Mar, 2016 @ 1:12pm
I'm having a bug issue where any time I try to build one of your walls it crashes. Not through the right click menu, but through the bottom menu.
danielprates 12 Mar, 2016 @ 6:36am
Roboute deserves a lot of praise for his devotion to this game.

It worked! The changes are already working in my previous savegames.

Interesting, once you choose a mod and start a game, that savegame is stuck with the mods you chose, but when a mod is improved or changed in any way, steam uptates it automatically and the savegame incorporates the changes. Now that's something to think about: you can't alter what mods were enabled after you start a game, but the already enabled mods can be updated? Adapting savegames in terms of what mods are enabled or not may not be so impossible.

Thanks again Roboute. The 'fortress' build items give Gnomoria such a new flair, I just couldn't go back to vanilla.
Roboute  [author] 11 Mar, 2016 @ 7:06am
And I found how to add the items to the bottom menu :D
I cannot make new entries there so I just left them under furniture in the bottom, they still have their new group in the right click menu so both menu's should now be functional.
Roboute  [author] 11 Mar, 2016 @ 6:46am
I had allready made a new entry in the right click menu for all the new furniture blocks in winter is coming for the next patch, so I decided to make that same fix here and upload it.
The new fortress menu entry under build will contain all the new furniture blocks, so the list is smaller and more manageable.
Roboute  [author] 11 Mar, 2016 @ 6:33am
Well the right click menu has its own xml file where you can add or remove entries, but there is no such file for the bottom menu. There also are no tags in any of the xml files to relate to the bottom menu. This means that I really have no idea how to influence the bottom menu.
I'm afraid I have no idea how to fix this :(
danielprates 11 Mar, 2016 @ 5:02am

The akwardness of the right-click menu is a known issue, which is the reason I use only the bottom screen buttons for some of my GUI interactions (specially the ones with dozens of different itens to choose from, since those are going to be the ones with lists too long to fit the right-click menu to begin with). This led me to, for a while, not even know that the grave items existed!

I konw I am overexplaining this ... this game is so great that it deserves being scrurtnized thoroughly to catch all those loopholes.

Now to the actual issue: Roboute, is this it just a matter of the items not being enabled to appear both it the bottom-screen buttons, as they are in the right-click menu?
danielprates 11 Mar, 2016 @ 5:02am
So what's the problem with that? Well, to begin with, this right click menu is a nightmare. Some of it goes overt the screen edge and can't be chosen. As the grave items are indeed the last ones on the list, they disapear below the screen edge (in some mod configurations. In others the last one of two of them do not show at all on the list). This is why I couldn't find the grave items: they do not appear in both GUI methods but only on the right-click menu - and since it has its accessibility issues, It took me a while to see they were there! And even now that I konw they are, they are still hard to interact with - sometimes, impossible.
danielprates 11 Mar, 2016 @ 5:02am
Ok Roboute! I found another thing to tamper with.

The new GRAVE, GRAVEYARD WALL and GRAVEYARD CORNER behave a little odd. Maybe this is a screen size issue or something, but perhaps I ran into a problem. So here it is.

Those three items never appeared in my build tool of choice, which is the small buttons on the bottom of the screen. Whenever I open the build queue from there, the three pieces never appear there listed as building options. I always though that was weird: I could never find in-game the grave items showed in the screenshots here in steamworks. "where are they" I was wondering.

Then I found them. They only appear when I open the right-click on-screen menu. If i go stance by stance, starting with 'build' then 'furniture', they appear there. But only there! They are not doubled, as with other items, in the bottom-screen buttons.

Roboute  [author] 9 Mar, 2016 @ 9:49am
Yeah, you cannot add or remove a mod from a save game, you need a new game for that.
Suomu 9 Mar, 2016 @ 3:44am
Hmm I think I only have EspMod indev version. And I included this into espmod files. But I can manage with twice listed things, it only takes double the room from build list. I guess I can't change mod settings in a saved game? Only way I've been able to activate mods is by creating a new game.
Roboute  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 2:39pm
@1stReaper: LOL, kill the damn mants!! Kill them all!!
Roboute  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 2:38pm
@suomo: I don't know how the bar at the bottom works, I've never tried doing anything with it. Do you maybe have both this mod and Winter is coming? that would explain everything beeing double.
1stReaper 8 Mar, 2016 @ 2:02pm
oh crap xD i just noticed a mant photobombed my picture --.--

lol good job he bearly lasted 5 seconds
he had 4 tower shield units, 2 claymore, a warhammer and a battle axe, 2 duel swords beating on his ass and the little fucker some how managed to target one of my citizen gnomes....

the best thing,,, wasn't the insane number of soldiers pounding him.
the funniest part was the citizen beat it to death, and got the killing blow,,, with a stick...
just a plain pine stick lmao

that'll teach that little fucker to photobomb my screenshots ^.^
Suomu 8 Mar, 2016 @ 1:43pm
Thank you for the fast response. I guess all the buildable things don't fit in crafting inventory? (the one you open from the bar at the bottom) And I'm not sure what causes that I have your stuff there listed 2 times. :o
Roboute  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 1:29pm
The graveyard door is a door ;)
In the right click menu go to build -> furniture -> door. There you will find the wood door, stone door and graveyard door.
Roboute  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 1:24pm
Wow, very nice. That is one awesome gatehouse :D
Suomu 8 Mar, 2016 @ 1:22pm
Hey, one thing got me wondering. I built few cemetery doors but now I can't seem to find how to place them. I checked furniture and walls and didn't find it there. Or then it's just my eyes. But I think I've checked the list like 5 times and can't find it.
1stReaper 8 Mar, 2016 @ 12:55pm
<part 1>
lol fair does :),
well you've got more courage then me,,, i sadly know my limits :'<...
thats why i wont try to make my own mods, my own game(s)... even if i have got massive amount of ideas for characters, backstories, overall plot, equipment styles and so on...

but all in all :) no worries dude, take your time :D
ofcourse no going starbound on us (an update a year) lol.

sweet to the to do list :P
-----
and finally XD
heres the link to my gatehouse V2 XD
(its double in size, floors ,,,, and number of marble and granite blocks >.<.....)
took roughly 3... to 5 solid days worth of work lol.....had to get it perfect
but digging the mout around the outer edge of my city took the most time tho lol
(my idea is having a time similiar to the mods display icon.. altho square instead of circle... i give up on trying to build skyhold lol)
1stReaper 8 Mar, 2016 @ 12:55pm
<part 2>
SADLY :'<.... i forgot to put the blasted corner stones in <crys a man tear>
but all in all it looks bigger, better, more imposing and about 95% complete :P
i've just gotta get round to building a hatch trap,,, where the "welcome mat is" lol
i just hope that ill be able to get each square to open up when i pull the lever lol

http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/495765386229737513/B45127D1EEA89EDFABE4AA4D3BBF73398BD3B077/

let me know what you think :D
<also>
when i get around to building the castle (note thats just the gate house) im planning on having it almost double the size of the gatehouse lmao....
Roboute  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 9:07am
@1stReaper: I have thought about including inward corners but so far I have not tried them because the pixel work needed to make good looking ones has scared me off ;)
I have them on my list and will try them when I have the time (and found the courage).
Roboute  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 9:05am
@Danielprates: I encourage you to give feedback, it can only improve my mod :)

I know about the cornerwalls (and round walls) not rotating when you rotate your map, I made that notice in the patchnotes. The problem is that the game does not allow for rotating walls, only for rotating furniture.
If I make them furniture then you cannot build floors on them and so cannot build them higher than 1 high. Since I want them to act like walls I am afraid I cannot make them better than they are now unfortunately :(

P.S. If there is a modder out there that knows of a way to mitigate this then I would love to hear it.
1stReaper 7 Mar, 2016 @ 5:03pm
<part 1>,,, -.- damn limits..
@Robo
could i make a request / suggestion
its in regards to the inclines
when i was building the roof of my guard tower i noticed that i couldn't make a inwards facing incline block (similair to the inward dirt corner ramps)

(currently you have the outward pointcorn corner inclines which are perfect, but if i use the same incline on the inside corners it doesn't quite look like

for example,
W - would be the wall tiles, R - would be the normal inclines/ramps
O - would be the outward corners which are perfect :)
C - is the inward one that im in need off

<part 2>
would it be possible to add that into the mod
also IF this is possible could you make tweak it so that i could use any type of matieral
like thatch, wood, stone, metal
(that way i'd be able to have some houses with thatch on my barns or animal pens,
wood for lumber mill or market-ish stalls, stone for houses, and metal......for whatever i can use metal lol)

thanks a mill if its possible :D
if its not,, ah well least we tired :p
danielprates 7 Mar, 2016 @ 4:20pm
Again, this is not complaining ...! Your efforts are a thing to celebrate. I am only posting as a nosy attempt to help improve the mod! Keep up the good work!
danielprates 7 Mar, 2016 @ 4:19pm
Hi there Roboute, thanks again! Your mods are looking great - greater every time actually. I now saw that 'fortress' incorporated the new crops created for 'winter is coming', along with the building blocks.

This is great, as it really allows you to chose at will if you will face the (difficult) harshness of 'winter', or if you will only adopt the excellent buinding options created by Roboute.

Btw Roboute ... I noticed that the round and diagonal 'corners' (building blocks) become odd when you turn the interface. It is as if they only apply on the angle you were facing when you built it, but when turing 90 degrees to either side, they stay the same instead of turning along with everything else. There should be a way to do this right, since many objects in the game have four sides (or rather, a 'front' and a 'back' side, both facing left or right, so when you turn the map, the objects follow correctly).
1stReaper 6 Mar, 2016 @ 3:36pm
<part 1>
ahh ... i see XD
no wonder i couldn't find it i never used the right click menu o.O
or least that much... xD

dont get why their isn't the open on the main shortcut tab...
which reminds me... im sure there was one there at one point because i could remember using it to make the thatch inclines
(because i used to use them as strew roofs for my lower on the ladder gnomes :P)
1stReaper 6 Mar, 2016 @ 3:35pm
<part 2>
cheers for that again robo :P
i might finally be able to finish my gatehouse now
(its looking epic,,, altho im cursing myself as i forgot to add the corner stones...
(at the time i clicked on about forgetting em, i was going to use the roundcorner stones like my older gatehouse because i didn't see the update thats added more items)

but now i want to use the diagonal ones... altho its going to be a painnnn rebuilding lol...
so im putting it off ripping the walls down again.. because its 5 times bigger then the last one o.O

if this f**ker was real,, and you was standing in front of it,,, theres a chance you'd feel intimidated by it lmao

god damn 1000 word limit >.<
Roboute  [author] 6 Mar, 2016 @ 1:15pm
It is right between the option to build stairs and ramps
Roboute  [author] 6 Mar, 2016 @ 1:13pm
hahaha no, in the rightclick menu there is an option called "incline up" you need to build that
1stReaper 6 Mar, 2016 @ 1:08pm
mm
which ones that ?,,
the ramp or the stairs? :S
just tried both only ones that come up are dirt and stone for the ramps,
and plank, block and so on for stairs
Roboute  [author] 6 Mar, 2016 @ 8:09am
They are inclines, so build an incline up and then you'll get a menu with all the roof types.
They will colour according to the type of building material selected.
1stReaper 6 Mar, 2016 @ 7:31am
hey robo,
i was just wondering where do/where can i find the wooden roof tiles?
(the brown one in screenshot 2 and 3)

im in need of the roof for the guards bunkhouse where the city gate is XD
danielprates 6 Mar, 2016 @ 6:38am
Thanks Roboute!
1stReaper 5 Mar, 2016 @ 10:32am
as for your mod in general..... curse you :P...
i spent 5 hours working on my towns main gate XD....
and im still no where near staring it
the rest of my gnomes or digging a mout around the outter edge of my empire :P
while i have 1...2 poor gnomes being slave driven to get my gatehouse created :P
(with marble this time..... altho its not as immersive :P.... the walls are lighter... you'll least be able to find parts of your mod better then you did when it was granite lol)

god forbid!!! i use obsidian lmao <evil laugh>
