@Kristoph von Strudel - 1. It should be as 'Lungora's Nile Map' in the options after you enable it in the mods menu and continue from there. If it isn't, in my collection I have a fix.

Hey man. I cannot see the map in any of the options to pick it and play with it. How can I fix this? It looks gorgeous

@Dr. Strangelove - That would make Sudan and Ethiopia even more OP. heh.

@SpookyScarySkeletons - See my collection of my maps for a fix.

@Komrade Koko - Neither North or South could work due to the fact the map HAS to be on a horizontal plane. From there it was West of East, and East is historically up, even moreso than north actually.

I can't get this to show up on my select a map screen?

I highly suggest the city placement and barb fix for this map so you don't get overrun and so the AI won't found a million cities on the desert.

I feel like it should have south facing up, since the south was considered the upper Kingdom due to elevation.

@tristancp - It is 'snow', but I like to think of it as inhospitable salt flats. Also, adds a nice amount of colour to thing.

Not sideways, merely north isn't up. That's a funny thing about spheres like earth. I would've made north up, but I needed all the horizontal space for fitting the Nile.

is that snow in the desert?
plus why is the map sideways...

@Kesler - The comments and praises are appreciated. The snow is meant to represent inhospitable salt flats, but also add a bit of colour to the desert. The Suez actually takes 3 cities, and requires a mod that removes distance limitations between them. I was thinking about it, before you commented, last night and I'm going to add another version of this map to this one mod here where the two Suez lakes are joined and the canal can be made with vanilla city distances and only two cities. - for those who want it to be possible.

@Satdanov - They're Coastal because there is no way to decided between the two types. The way the game figures it is that if there's 10 or less coast tiles in a chunk of water, then you have a lake.

Now that's a proper map of the Nile! Proper for any Egypt BR or Suez Canal Crisis. Sad to see you require two cities for a proper canal but alas, such are the breaks.

Also, I presume that snow is salt?

So, what kind of tiles make up the Nile? Lake or coast?

Nice, the perfect map to try out the Battle For The NiIle civs! :)

@Kkhom - those are Atolls. Custom resources work perfectly fine on all my maps.
Kkom 9 Nov, 2015 @ 1:50am
What things are on the coast? fish?
If so happens the resource is randomly placed? 'cuz I used custom resource mod..
