Used to be scripts that could overlay LCD's with camera feeds, but they all seem to be broken now.
I haven't made it public yet. I wanted to get permission, or perhaps add you as contributor. I've friended you.

To get the .dds file from my mod, just open the mod (ID# 544032930) in an archive extractor like 7-Zip, and open "Textures/Custom/".
It will have to be renamed to camera_overlay.dds and might need to be replaced every patch, but that will force a solution for you. I suggest backing up the original file just in case something goes wrong.
I've subscribed to the mod, activated it on my world, tried existing and new cameras on large and small grids, but nothing changes.
Anyone else who is experiencing this issue or can help me out?

if you take the intended view size of 1920x1080 scale it up so 1080 == 2048 then squeeze it all back into 2048, when the game scales it to fit your screen it, it will appear as you intend.
