I did nothing as you claim since this issue, as you are making it out to be, had been resolved, multiple times. However, seeing as some people don't pay that much attention, I suppose it was necessary to have to do something about it, simply to make it just a bit easier for people, such as yourself, to see that there is no need to address it. One other thing, I never said your comment wasn't "needed". I only said it wasn't necessary to post a comment about something that has been repeatedly brought up, and repeatedly dealt with. I guess some people just don't read comments though........
Darth Drevan 31 Oct, 2015 @ 9:32am
So what your really saying when you claim that my comment wasn't needed is that it was very much needed as you apparently did NOTHING until I made my "unnecessary" comment regardless of how many said it before.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 30 Oct, 2015 @ 5:45am
I hope the change in the description helps to clarify for you guys.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 30 Oct, 2015 @ 5:41am
Um....Darth?......Have you even been reading the comments so far? I believe this has been covered by more than a couple of individuals, besides you. Also, if you will take the time to read what I have said in the comments, you will see that your comment, although true, would have been posted unnecessarily. Thanks anyway though.
Darth Drevan 29 Oct, 2015 @ 9:57pm
I assume by only positive coments you really meant Constructive yes? Otherwise, what is the point of saying your new too modding. If you want pats on the back your own hand does just fine...ask any 13 yr old boy. If you want to improve you need costructive criticism and sometimes destructive, rip your heart out just to make you watch it bleed criticism because THAT is how people actually improve, by facing that they aren't where they could be.

Oh and another difference of course is the stats of the robes, etc. I wasn't so lazy that I couldn't alter the enchantments on each of the items you know.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 28 Oct, 2015 @ 12:22pm
Thank you Bread, and yeah, I have been getting that as you can see from the other posts here. However, if you'll see here from Skyrim Wikia:

"There is an unhooded version of these robes in the game data, but only obtainable through the console. While nearly identical in stats to the normally obtained robes, the lack of a hood removes the +50 Magicka enchant."

So in some sense, although just by the slimmest margin, you could give the argument that I am using a design that is unique to vanilla skyrim, but only because the robes here are normally unobtainable through playing the game. I guess you could also say I cheated a bit......XD
TravelingBread 28 Oct, 2015 @ 7:04am
Pretty decent mod but kinda wish it was an original design instead of just the archmage robes. However you did say you were new to modding. Excited to see your future material.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 28 Oct, 2015 @ 6:57am
XD Either way thank you very much for the comment. I'm glad you enjoy the mod.
ZachZee 28 Oct, 2015 @ 4:48am
Ahh i misunderstoond, But i dont think you have much to worry about. The mod is pretty solid :D
Percephere 27 Oct, 2015 @ 7:14pm
Boys will be boys
Master_Sehrix  [author] 27 Oct, 2015 @ 9:13am
Lol I know that, but I still feel there should be a warning for those who do that here.
Percephere 27 Oct, 2015 @ 9:11am
I don't think you have to worry too much about people cutting down your content just for giggles on Steam too much. That's mainly a Nexus thing. That said, as you said, there are people who do that. Just ignore them; you're to cater to the general audiences, not just them.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 27 Oct, 2015 @ 8:47am
Oh, and I don't mean you specifically, I'm just saying people in general who just look to cut down on things around here; and they are around XD.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 27 Oct, 2015 @ 8:45am
Well, thank you anyway Sivrez, but what I mean when I say to keep comments positive is, I don't want to hear from people who will just sit there and cut down on my work, just for the hell of it, you know what I mean? If you find something wrong with the mod itself, by all means tell me, but if you come here just to tell me how bad this mod is, without a good, solid reason for disliking it, I don't want to hear it.
ZachZee 27 Oct, 2015 @ 5:17am
Not a bad mod. But seriously? "Now, i'm just a noob in modding so i'll ask right now that comments be kept to only positive remarks. Anything negatve will only serve to make you look like an a$$." Like. How are you ever going to get better at modding if you dont Get feedback on what was bad aswell as good. It would be like Learning a sport but using the wrong technique. If people dont point out your flaws you won't improve. Either way as a first mod it's actually decent. Look forward to seeing any future projects from you :)
Master_Sehrix  [author] 26 Oct, 2015 @ 9:12pm
Oh, and there's one last thing I'd like to add: I intended to keep this mod simple. Yeah, I know there are just excuses, but this is my first mod, I didn't know how I was going to be recieved in the first place (sounds stupid to me the more I think of it), and I just wanted something simple to get myself going before I continued on to more challenging ides. I do intend to progress into more advanced things in modding, but whether or not I can accomplish such things? That is something that remains to be seen. I'll find out when I make that attempt. XD I actually like that someone is going to push me to do this, it makes it more fun in my opinion.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 26 Oct, 2015 @ 9:01pm
So, I have just returned home, I notice I have messages, and what do I find? Somthing Hilarious! THIS is why people take on the task of turning something boring into something unique. At least, that is the way I look at your posts. I see you as someone who is trying to push me to do as best of a job as I can, and my only response to this is: Time. Allow the time for me to develop my skills in an attempt to become better, allow me time to be able to put together something truly glorious. I know the tools I need, all that still remains is the knowledge, and experience required to do this. ( On a side note: I'm just trying to sound as eloquent as you have in these lengthy posts of yours. I do appreciate what you are saying, and I guess we both will have to wait and see just how far I can progress?)
Percephere 26 Oct, 2015 @ 2:20pm
It is called tough-love. Block me for it if you must, but I really do want you to keep making mods. Just know that your first mod is every bit as important as your future ones. If you cannot live up to the expectations of subscribers, then we would all be better off if you gave up now.

Now then, here's a list of tools you'll need to prove me wrong, make me look like an "a$$", and become everything you, not we, want you to be:
- Nifskope - free software for editing NiData.
- Photoshop (alternative below) - paid software for editing digital art.
- Paint.NET - free software for editing digital art.
- Autodesk 3DS Max 2013 - Paid software for editing 3D models. Free 1 to 3 year student options available.

Good luck. If you'd like to flame/praise me, you can contact me at Percephere@hotmail.com or message me here on Steam. I'm also available from time to time on Nexusmods from the user Percephere.
Percephere 26 Oct, 2015 @ 2:09pm
Also, you have every right to be offended, dear author. Your job is to appeal to your subscribers with content. You took on that job when you became an author. If you are unahappy with the way prospective subscribers are reacting to your content, who so you suppose is to blame?

Therefore, you are certainly allowed to be angry. Of course, that means you're angry at yourself. Your raging is directed at subscibers unjustly.

So get angry, and either quit or do better. Who knows? You might become one of the greatest mod authors in the future. You could very well be the guy who remakes Skyrim into a brand-new modern hit. Do you think you could possibly become that person without some criticism?
Percephere 26 Oct, 2015 @ 2:01pm
This is great except it isn't.

I really don't want to offend anyone, really, and if this does you may flame me as much as you like. We live in an age in which every car we buy, every candle, every table, chair, or what-have-you, has thousands of identical copies. Why would we, the Skyrim modding community - who have been given the tools to create something entirely unique, want to endorse something is entirely the opposite of our ability?

I don't know. Maybe I'm not being fair, maybe I'm complaining in the wrong place. Maybe I'm just a bit tired of seeing content like this. Then again, I haven't even subscribed to this mod - I don't even know what it contains; I'm judging the book by it cover.

What I'm trying to say is, try to do better. But do it for yourself, not the community. You can do better than using Bethesda's models and textures; using your own textures would be a good place to start. Just know that it isn't easy and it wouldn't be worth it if it weren't.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 26 Oct, 2015 @ 11:43am
Alright, thank you for the tip. I'll start looking into it asap.
lued123 26 Oct, 2015 @ 11:41am
Textures are the easiest thing. You just need any program that can edit dds files. (Photoshop, Gimp with a bit of finagling) You should have a textures folder in your data folder in your skyrim folder. You just figure out what path the archmage robe textures are in, and go insane. (I'd recommend basic hue changes to start off.) As for making your robes use a different texture from the Arch mage's, I have no idea. Your friend might be able to help with that.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 26 Oct, 2015 @ 2:29am
sorry for the typos in the message.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 26 Oct, 2015 @ 2:29am
Well, lued, I appreciate the clarification, and I am glad we could straighten this out. I'd also like to apologise for my rudeness in reaction to your comments. As for your suggestion, I like the idea you have in this, unfortunately I no experience in retexturing ( pretty much like a complete lvl 1, 0 XP "what the hell am I supposed to do?!?" kind of noobness in this part of modding), but I have a friend who has done tons of mods around here and I can ask him for some help. If I can I would like to try to implement your idea, and I would definitely extend credit to you for the idea, otherwise, it'll just stay as is for now.
lued123 26 Oct, 2015 @ 1:59am
The original comment was made out of a combination of legitimate curiosity and smart-assiness (not a thing, but you know what I mean). The second comment was made because it seemed as though you were verbalising your okayness (also not a thing, but same idea) with the joke I'd made. Sorry for being a bit of a douche. You're already better at modding than I am. Anyway, as for ideas, maybe darken/desaturate the textures to match the Shrine of Julianos? Just a thought. It's up to you obviously.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 25 Oct, 2015 @ 9:48pm
Thank you for subscribing Lux! Actually I have just finished a staff to go with this set, and will be uploading it in just a minute or so. Also, your suggestion on the desription is noted, and I thank you for bringing that to my attention, I will make that change now.
Tarrace 25 Oct, 2015 @ 9:37pm
Just subscribed gonna check it out. Also, I think you should give a description of the set maybe. I know it's in the pictures, but I think it still might be good to have (always gonna be those couple people who never look). Just my thoughts though. Once I craft and play with them I'll let you know what I think. :D
Master_Sehrix  [author] 25 Oct, 2015 @ 4:50pm
By the way, even if you aren't intending to sound like an a$$, you're still doing a hell of a job. ;)
Master_Sehrix  [author] 25 Oct, 2015 @ 4:49pm
It is. Now I ask you: How does it feel to be the guy who goes onto people's mod pages, and leave remarks that only serve to make you look like an a$$, repeatedly?
lued123 25 Oct, 2015 @ 4:39pm
It must be an honor.
Master_Sehrix  [author] 25 Oct, 2015 @ 4:35pm
Feels awesome XD. Everyone has to start somewhere.
lued123 25 Oct, 2015 @ 3:53pm
How does it feel to literally be the least subscribed mod on the Workshop?
