You could never put Ice in a tank of any kind. The Ogy/Hydro generator fills it with hydrogengas. The fill level can be monitored in the block info in the controlpanel.
@andymcneil204 Indeed it is. A bit of a 40k/Dark Angels player here. :)
Hey I really liked your recent mod compact utility's welders ect. I was wondering if you could make a block mod where it's like a projector block but if you put in the materials in it starts to build the ship for you depending how much recorces you put in the block but it builds it in order like it you were welding it yourself. This is so you can mass produces ships like miners or in the unlikely event capital ships
You could make one with a bit lower capacity, and two opposing ports for your compact conveyor system (on two opposing sides, not front and back).
I agree. Hydrogen Thrusters are severely underpowered, taking in consideration how much fuel they eat up. The only possible reason that Keens made 'em so puny is that they will be the only available method of propulsion somewhere, I guess planetary atmosphere. Because ions shouldn't work there, as they don't IRL (their thrust is too low to compensate for backwards pressure of air into nozzle, even huge rocket engines suffer from that at some degree, having their -20 seconds of ISP off).
P.S. It seems more feasible to feed hydrogens directly from ice, by having an oxygen generator aboard of your ship.
