Hi i dont know how easy would it be to do so, but i'm wondering if you could make a mod, where we have generals as a single unit, there is a few for diffrent ones but i did not find any to work with the last roman mod. I would love to donate for this since i'm quite picky of how i wanna play my game, and i really need this haha. Please let me know

sorry that i didnt read the previous comments and responses but when i load into a WRE campaign, the reskin only works for the ERE. Any ideas to why? Otherwise amazing mod! It goes great with last roman unit expansions for the grand campaign!
Andrew_Ghrandt 20 Feb, 2018 @ 12:43pm
It's a shame, it must be hard then to change, I thought it was easier knowing that it is already existing skins, the big campaign is much scripted then? In any case, great work for having already succeeded for ERE ! do you intend to return to work?

Ah I'm really glad you like my mod so much but I have to be honest I basically made this mod by guesswork and I haven't really been able to repeat my results. There are some mods that use the character art from some of the DLCs, I think Successors of Rome is one of them. You might try opening that or my mod up in the Pack File Manager and playing around with it.

Can you make the same for Vikings of the DLC AOC (The beautiful viking helmet and not boring little helm of germanics tribes..) and for Germanic tribes can you make (because the simple skin of germanics is so boring.. ) a better skin ? like Last Roman :D
meme man 22 Sep, 2017 @ 10:23pm
Doesn't seen to work for WRE but does for ERE, any ideas?
Chief Zuma  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 3:53pm
You can play it with the WRE. Don't use the mod if you don't want.
Gromflomites 6 Mar, 2017 @ 2:39am
so you cant play with any faction ???? what waste of time
Artorias 2 Feb, 2017 @ 10:23pm
No worries at all 😅
Chief Zuma  [author] 2 Feb, 2017 @ 6:52pm
Haha yeah, I'm sorry I can't figure it out. I just about drove myself crazy trying to import the character art from charlemagne to some of the factions in the grand campaign.
Artorias 1 Feb, 2017 @ 8:21pm
Alrighty, I still use it every time I play ERE nonetheless lol. Thanks for the quick response :)
Chief Zuma  [author] 1 Feb, 2017 @ 3:41pm
If making this work with western generals were as simple as flipping a switch, I would do it. Unfortunately, this process is complicated for reasons I don't understand. I've spent a long time trying to mess with character art sets and some changes stick and some don't. To be honest I just don't know how to do what you're asking.

If you find out and want to use this mod as a template, I don't mind.
Artorias 31 Jan, 2017 @ 11:46pm
When time allows, could you please have this mod affect the Western Roman Empire as well? Great work here Chief Zuma!
Chief Zuma  [author] 9 Dec, 2016 @ 4:04pm
That is not something this mod really deals with. Making a faction playable is an entirely different matter.
Gromflomites 9 Dec, 2016 @ 6:09am
want to play with berbers in dcl the last roman please
Chief Zuma  [author] 8 Dec, 2016 @ 4:05pm
I currently do not have any time or plans to update this in the near future. You (and anyone else) are welcome to use this mod as a template to make such changes. I don't care about credit or anything.
Artorias 8 Dec, 2016 @ 2:43pm
Please update to include WRE General models please :)
Gromflomites 4 Nov, 2016 @ 9:20am
want to play with berbers in dcl the last roman please
Albert 29 Sep, 2016 @ 3:11am
i have a problem with the WRE generals
Chief Zuma  [author] 23 Apr, 2016 @ 4:26pm
Update: Some of you will be very happy to hear that I have all but fixed the Belisarius bug. Faction leaders for roman factions will no longer all have Belisarius' face or model, unfortunately their unit cards in battles still do, but other than that they look as they are supposed to now.
Artorias 14 Apr, 2016 @ 9:56am
When you get a chance could we please have this affect the WRE General's as well?
Artorias 29 Feb, 2016 @ 4:53pm
No worries :). Thanks man!!
Chief Zuma  [author] 29 Feb, 2016 @ 1:45pm
Oh sorry. I had to remake the mod from scratch basically, and I forgot it applied to western generals.
Artorias 29 Feb, 2016 @ 12:09pm
@Ronaldus Invictus Currently this is only affecting the eastern roman generals for some reason, just thought you should know
Artorias 26 Feb, 2016 @ 12:00pm
oh I don't mind that at all :) thanks again man!
Chief Zuma  [author] 26 Feb, 2016 @ 11:41am
Thank you! I'll try to update it. I haven't yet figured out what's causing all the faction leaders to look like Belisarius, but if that doesn't bother you I can probably get it working again.
Artorias 26 Feb, 2016 @ 11:36am
Love this mod Invictus! Please update when time permits :)
Chief Zuma  [author] 23 Jan, 2016 @ 3:58pm
Oh yeah that happens to me every patch and I keep forgetting that I need to update it
Teufels Beitrag 23 Jan, 2016 @ 3:51pm
Thanks for the fast answer. I didn't had the latest Pack File Manager Version, that's why i couldn't edit faction_tables in the past ;)
Chief Zuma  [author] 23 Jan, 2016 @ 3:14pm
Oh, sorry yeah that's a different mod I made for myself. I really need to take screenshots with only the mod I'm showcasing, but I forget sometimes. It's actually not very hard to do. I really liked the shade of red Noif used in his flags of factions mod so I just coppied the values he had on the saxons line and put them in for the ERE. Where it gets a little tricky is that mods that edit that table often conflict with other mods that edit different things. For example, this mod also affects that table since it changes which set of names characters are given in the campaign. But yeah, if you want that color in this mod just go the factions_tables entry for the ERE and go to where it says primary color_r, primary color_g, and primary color_b, enter 137, 6, 6.
Teufels Beitrag 23 Jan, 2016 @ 1:58pm
By the way: How did you change the colour of your empire on the map. In the third image your eastern roman empire has a diffrent red and has no longer the ugly purple. This isn't done by simple db editing, isn't it?
Teufels Beitrag 22 Jan, 2016 @ 12:00pm
Well that looks promising. Keep your time of course. No pressure ;) I am looking foward to it. Great job so far!
Chief Zuma  [author] 22 Jan, 2016 @ 11:44am
I would like to do that. I need to figure out a little better how the table this mod edits works and I need to update it for the new patch, all of which might take a little while
Teufels Beitrag 22 Jan, 2016 @ 11:02am
Could you do the same for Barbarian Generals? I like the Ostrogotic helmets from the Belisar Campaign somewhat more ;)
IMP. CAES. DIVI F. AVG 16 Nov, 2015 @ 11:05am
Manage to find out which art sets determine how the faction leader looks?
Chief Zuma  [author] 22 Oct, 2015 @ 8:09pm
Yes, unfortunately that is a side effect at the moment. I've been working on fixing it but as yet to no avail.
s.lfournier 22 Oct, 2015 @ 7:02pm
Just to let you know about a possible bug, have you ever noticed that every emerging roman faction (i.e Britain, Gaul, etc.) have the same portrait of Belisarius as their faction leader ? It has been that way in my campaign.
Chief Zuma  [author] 19 Oct, 2015 @ 6:34pm
@s.lfournier I would love to do that! The only problem is that that would involve creating a new name group, and editing the contents of that group, two things I do not, at present know how to do. If I figure it out though, I definitely will do that.
s.lfournier 19 Oct, 2015 @ 5:52pm
Hi, cool mod ! If I can make a suggestion concerning the names of the generals of the WRE : it would be cool if there was germanic names in the name pool. This would represent the fact that during this time period many barbarian soldiers climbed the ranks of the roman army (i.e Stillicho, Odovacar, Gundobad, Ricimer). Barbarian names mixed in with latin names for the WRE. Just my two cents. Keep up the good work !
Chief Zuma  [author] 18 Oct, 2015 @ 7:36pm
Thank you! That should not be much of a problem. I'll see what I can do.
Diocletian 18 Oct, 2015 @ 7:35pm
Great mod! Is there any way you can make a version of it that only affects the Eastern Roman Empire? That'd be awesome.
Chief Zuma  [author] 16 Oct, 2015 @ 1:05pm
@Eresare, yes I'm working on that. I need to find which one of the character art sets affects faction leaders and restore it to its vanilla settings or all the faction leaders will look like belisarius.
Chinese Billionaire Fung Wah 16 Oct, 2015 @ 9:47am
thats pretty cool! amazing mod!
Imrazorhin 16 Oct, 2015 @ 7:49am
Yeah, its working on other languages.but i have another question. What about the reskin of faction leader? can u make the mod which doesnt reskin the faction leader, because i want use my own?
ProbusVerus 16 Oct, 2015 @ 7:46am
Thank you man really appreciate your work! Was waiting for this DLC!!!! Much respect!
Chief Zuma  [author] 15 Oct, 2015 @ 9:39pm
I believe they do. I tried loading it on one of my long-running campaigns and the high rank generals did indeed look different.
Chinese Billionaire Fung Wah 15 Oct, 2015 @ 9:37pm
Do the generals appearances change as they level up like in normal campaign? I havent gotten far in my campaign yet but i was just wondering if you knew.:steamhappy:
Chief Zuma  [author] 15 Oct, 2015 @ 11:25am
I don't have much experience with that sort of thing but I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work
Imrazorhin 15 Oct, 2015 @ 7:49am
is it working if im plaing not in english language?
