This version of EEM will not work without MES. Leonser is being stubborn about updating it. The Unstable branch {LINK REMOVED} works perfectly fine on it's own (and runs better in general).

Ok after installing MES I instantly got encounters around my base that I haven't seen in vanilla yet (+chat messages from a pirated mining carrier) so I suppose MES really fixed the issue :)

You might be better off going to the Discord to troubleshoot. It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong as long as you're staying far enough away from planets. So there might be something less obvious unless it's the spawn bug that Keen introduced recently. You could try, if you don't already have it installed, MES . It's been working great with EEM and haven't had any spawning issues despite the issue that came up recently in vanilla.

I think this mod might really be broken for me for some reason. I set everything up according to the instructions. I am in a faction (with a friend I play with on this world) that accepts peace offers. I enabled all the encounter thingies (cargo shios, drones etc) and I have a high asteroid density. We have been playing with this mod for a few days now and since we included it, we haven't got a single encounter. Neither at our space station nor when I warped 2000km away and flew about 100km through space. I also see all the new factions in the faction list. Can somebody please help me? I have read many good things about this mod and really wanna experience them for myself :/
(The faction was created before we included the mod btw)

You should go an update all the blueprints used in the mod so they use shields. Sounds like a great project for you.

Creative mode disables the respawn pods. Other than that there are no issues.

The comment from Femboy below said they can't spawn, which to me says they were in creative and have no spawn options available (other than the suit).

Well, I mean, Thraxus said not to play in creative. But I've never had a problem turning on creative while in a game. Guessing there's a different problem, like you're on a planet or didn't turn on scripting or cargo ships.

Does this mod work with creative mode? I have been building my army, ready to decimate everyone but i cant find anything. the only other mod i have is graphics revamped.

You cannot dock with an unfriendly faction's station. EEM trading is different from vanilla trading. You use opposing collector/connector combinations to exchange items (connector ejects at a collector to send an item over).

Connecting to an unfriendly connector will trigger a hostile reaction.

@LoneGunman or @Thraxus Just checking in, has it been confirmed yet that MES is broken? Getting ready to host a 20 player server on the 21st and I love the MES mod and always include it on fresh starts.

@MikeCDAMMIT1990 - they have been taking EEM ideas since the Economy update a few years ago, and have screwed up every try imo. I haven't tried this new update yet though, so maybe they leaned a bit more in the right direction (doubtful). Keen are good and talented folks, their design ideas are just plain confusing / confused though.

i just came back here to see if this mod was getting a remastered, used to love this mod, it pretty much put GTA in Space Engineers, love for Keen to put in a wanted system where you go from Police to Military, due to your Pirating needs. i don't see the need for the Currency however, like surely the vanilla economy system could be used now, instead of adding a whole new system in with the mod, Im just spit balling though, great mod however, im really shocked that no one in the last 2 years this mod hasnt tried to go vanilla if you catch my meaning.

Except of all the issues people post here asking about the mod, in all the time I've been here posting, you're the first to be fully irate about it and one of very few that even ask about the faction requirement. I think faction's come up like 3-4 times over the last 2-3 years?

Well, I would say my complaint isn't common, as seeing that it only mentions needing to create a faction to make peace with the added factions once in the entire mod description, and it isn't exactly in the best spot for being noticed. Generally with something as important as that you would want it to be highly noticeable for readers.

To be fair, I have my limits but I tend to give people a chance, especially if it's not a common question you could've gotten an answer to by just going back a page or two in comments or reading the pinned discussions. Saying you don't RTFM isn't a great start though...

Well, thank you LoneGunman for actually explaining something I didn't understand. I will admit i don't know a lot about how game and mod code works together as while I did take some coding classes (mostly learning) I don't fully understand how these things work, but anyways, thank you for actually explaining why it won't work, and not insulting me right off.

It's a mod. It has to use the infrastructure the game engine provides to use common systems. It's not like the mod creates it's own faction system. And if the game engine does not allow you via scripting to do things like accept peace then you have to find a way to make it work...in this case with a custom faction of your own, which isn't exactly hard to do or manage.

But, in the description it says "Known Issue, will not work if player is not in custom faction", meaning its an issue with the mod and the factions that the mod adds TO THE GAME. SO, therefore, IT IS A FAILURE OF THE MOD.

Sorry to burst your bubble 8377 Rose, but having to require the player to create a faction just to make peace with half the factions that are added is a Major Problem THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED A WHILE AGO, Posted mod in 2015, updated 2023, still haven't fixed it? How? Also, don't be a prick. I just glossed over most of it when reading it to see what it adds, not really paying attention to the fact that half the factions attack you unless you create a faction and make peace with them.

SO, some concerns. I just recently started playing space engineers. I downloaded this mod, started a game, and spent 5 RL DAYS building my first ship by harvesting pirate ships and mining... but i noticed half the factions that are discovered ARE HOSTILE. I didn't know why and was constantly attack every now and then, this led to them becoming more hostile to me MAINLY THE 3 MAJOR MILITARY FACTIONS. SO, imagine my rage, at seeing a ship i spent 5 DAYS BUILDING, getting decimated by MISSILES AND GATLING CANNONS. I decided to experiment some, and found that if you CREATE your OWN FACTION, THEY'RE SUDDENLY FRIENDLY. WHY?

No to the planetary spawns. Creative mode just lets you place whatever objects you want without cost so nothing changes with the world...so things should spawn.

у меня не появляются волки и пауки даже в ваниле что можено сделать с этой проблемой ?
нет пиратов нет никого я уже все перепробывал даже в логах игры копался чтобы удалить те моды которые выдаются ошибки я уже год не могу поиграть в свою любимую игру просто потому что разрабы сделали обновление которое напрочь убило спавн всего живого и не живого тоже mes ставил mes убирал не помогает ничего

до этого все работало из за обновления с этими сигналами нпс перестали работать а когда появились и на следующий день я перезашел в мир никого не было я не знаю из за чего это может быть
