I say pick the color from the suit so it doesn't look like the color of his shirt, and remove everything but one or two pens. Then make those pen(s) visible on the outside. Same basic concept, infinitely more recognizable at medium distance.

I like. I'd suggest make the metal clips in the front a little longer tho. The stripe tiling on the pocket is a bit more that the suit. Try to make them match. They don't necessarily need to line up with the suit, but it would concievably be made of the same fabric, hence a similar stripe frequency.
