Yeah, but it is forced on the S.O. server so everyone has this and we can now use crawl without behind heard 3 blocks away.
You can still hear crawling and in the fast pace of vanilla servers the reduction isn't going to make much difference yet it makes all the difference in playability for the S.O. server.

But, if you lower the sound of crawling, will it not favor the people who don't have it instead? Because you won't hear them that good, but they hear you normally.
