I did test it, it just needs to have ample clearance of 18x Blocks wide by 11x deep by 12x tall

Just look for a mod that doubles your survival placing range. That should take care of it for you.

I too am having trouble getting it to "Snap" into place in survival w/ Admin mode spawn it's like the player Toon is in the way (your right in the mid of the block)

As a pointer take a look at the original hanger doors. Each tier retracts into the next level, but still remains visible on the surface. Overall I like the design however.

I think, that most or all are referring to the Collision in the Door-parts, merging into eachother.
And not the actual Collision between the opened/closed Hangar Door and other Blocks/Players/Bullets and Items.
This could be a misunderstanding here.
And for the Models to look correctly, just mold holes in those that retract other Parts, that fit the part htat's going in them.
That way, everyything should work out smoothly.

Also, I remember that sound, I think it might be from HL1 or FallOut3 but I can be wrong with that.

Thanks for the tips guys. Yeah I'm not happy with the doors "going nowhere" either. I will work on it and improve the design.
I can update the clamp locks no dramas.
Not sure on why you have no collision model on some doors @Curdos, as they all do have them?

I'm only Faving this, because the Initial Design is quite nice.
I'd subscribe, if the components would, instead of vanishing into eachother, go into the inner Parts, showing that they're still inside, without merging into them like a Clipping-Bug.
If this get's some Love to add more Details with the Gate itself, I'd consider using it on my Ship or a Station.
Also, it doesn't look like those Clamps do something, it would make more sense, if they were to grab into actual holes, visibly securing the Door.

I just got this mod a few minutes ago and I love it, except that one of the black/yellow bits and the grey part that retract/extend as the door don't have any collisions at all, I dunno if thats a bug or something so I'm putting it here :P

when the door is opening the parts vanish into one another and you can't see them anymore. i've shared mod with others and they all were driven away from it do to that.

When I tried your larger version it was fine, may have been because I had just switched back from DX11 to DX9 that may have caused this.

Hey Psycho Architect. Thanks, your link wont work for me but I think I know what you mean now. Its an issue with the Advanced door HTML I think. Sometimes it fully closes and sometimes it doesn't. I personally don't have an issue with this happening but try opening and closing a couple times??

Hayzy.. I htink what Rikkavidu means is that when the door's closed, there is a definitely visable gap between the door and your outer "blocks" around the outside edges. I'd post a screen shot but I don't know how on here. @craftagent51, I did a bit of remodelling and texturing as well. Your right, it doesn't normally take that long.
As far as making the door slimmer, It wont really be a possibility with this one as the clamps will then be outside the Block and wont load properly.

Further to my last comment, due to the nature of making these mods with the software that I use, it literally took about 3.5 hours just for a resize, so yeah, pretty time consuming!

As far as the sensor goes, hmmm, not sure if that can be done with my skill level at least as it involves combining 2 different block types in one model....

ok i have some screenshots here for you. there is a large gap that surrounds the entire door block, it looks really bad :( .... also instead of 4 blocks thick can you make it 3, it would make this so much nicer to use

love this, my reccomendation for sizes would be ..... 5x9, 7x15, or 11x15. hey is there a way you could make a set of doors/hangar doors that have a sensor build into it? it would be a great to get some automated doors on the workshop ;)

@Rikkavidu, not sure what you mean? shouldn't be any holes in the wall? I know there are some bugs with the advanced door (which is what this is based upon) and sometimes the doors glitch out and leave gaps, nothing I can really do about that sorry. It usually fixes itself with opening and closing a few times.....

I just want to say - VERY NICELY DONE! I build mostly in creative mode so door placement is easy.

I only wanted to ask if maybe you can also make a larger version of this - say 9 or 12 tall x 18 - 24 wide (for larger ships??) With this one I can only fit a small ship through it.

Hi. I am stupid, or your Mod is unusable, sry. Your Idea & Concept are good, but i cant build this Door in my Hangar. There are Holes in the Wall. Your Hangardoor dont close the Blocks completely. Fix it please, then your Mod are good. Best reguards. PS: Show in Video how i build this Door in a Wall.
