Please tell me how to make custom maps. I beg you. I scoured the internet but i can't learn to mod cities in this game. I cannot even get to open the code properly on any application. Please tell me how to learn.

You have to dl requirments and follow the instructions on the page as I state the page is only there as a warning to downloaders and will give you a blank file.

did you DL the actual RII Buildings mod or just sub cause in the dest and in huge letters I said link in desc. did u follow the link and dl the actual mod? cause its photo is sposto be the same except without the link in desc words in your mod manager and u need to enable outdated mods and for the most part its located at the end of the mod list.

UPDATE TO ALL, A MAP REQUIRMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED NOW FOR THIS MAP AND SEVERAL OF MY MAPS (not all of em) SO IF U CRASH THATS THE REASON WHY YOU WILL SO FOLLOW LINK ON THE REQUIRMENT PAGE AND EXTRACT THE FILE TO YOUR DATA FOLDER.

I dont need to read through 75 comments or through your description to report bugs. If walls dont work in a siege, that is a significant problem as I'm sure you are aware. I'm glad you already knew about the issue!

Its a beautifully designed map tho, congrats on the award!

Lol it dose work in battle, nd if u read description then u would have knew already AI and walls have trouble working but thats bieng fixed now by CA so when patch comes all my works will be updated, but for now read my descriptions plz before posting any problems cause the problems already been posted and in the description and past comments already.

This map doesnt work in battle unfortunately. You cant issue movement or attack orders once you get on the walls. Which is obviously important for siege battles. Once you place men up there, they are stuck in the same position where you placed them. Not great

Well the hanging gardens and Babylon did have quite a good ammount of foliage actually, during this time Babylon was near a more fertile area think it was lower Iraq or somthing. and the whole Hanging gardens thing, well that whole topics debatable to this date as still no proff of its existence has been uncovered and only refernces are just artwork basically and nothing more. AE though if u look around my forum link youl find im actually already working with them and they got my thread pined on thier forum if u wna check it out for progress/idea discussions too, its the link above.

Only problem I have is that what I assume is the Hanging Gardens doesn't have much foliage. If it isn't the Gardens then it should be there, lol. Either way, I love this map it is beautiful. Would you be able to do a map that is a huge settlement but not walled, or the walls are already busted. Basically a map that is a regular land battle but has the appearance of a city. But like Dreadnod244 said, it would be great to see you make maps for AE

doomon go join up with ancient empires go talk to them they are making ancient empires an amaizing mod for attila bringing rome 2 to attila go join them and you could design maps like carthage alexzandria and a whole bunch more to help bring back rome 2 in attila :)

I will be happy to get with my friend if he is still around here on steam and see if he can get in contact with you to try and resolve it, the map is fucking awesome minus that ability and would easily become my fav battle map! I wish I knew more personally but I am just barely getting into it and have no idea :(

yea it is kinda dumb I do agree lol, freakin its crazy lol kinda would expect them to do some programing themselfs like passageway stairs lol but instead I gota bang my head on the table figuring even this simple stuff out lol.

I know this is kinda dumb, but do the towers going up have doors on them and programmed as passageways? not sure how all that works but know someone else with an issue like that and it was his stairs up did not have doors for the troops lol and it was something he just never managed to see lol, just thought I would bring it up, otherwise no big deal for me, downloading now and looking forward to playing it with some friends!

yea they can its just they cant really get on or off, its an odd bug me and a friends of mine that im msging are trying to figure out, but when you deploy yes they can go on walls, AI wont deploy on them though due to the AI problems i mentioned above. but I and others are working our hardest to bother CA to answer us or somone or one of us figures somthing out for AI and these other problems.

can units be placed on the walls on this? in all the videos and pics I have not seen one unit of archers on all those wonderful high walls.

unfortunatly buddy were on the same boat lol I dont know how to get custom models on the map but the rome II models as of right now and am waiting for CA to do somthing about this problem/ help us out . As for RoM definitly heard of it and maybe would consider branching out a couple lotr theamed ideas, for now of course i cant use completly custom models for i only know RII importing right now but I mean if your models are slready V2 rigid models i can give em a try but if its converting them to V2 then I cant really help with that.

@Doomon15 Great job with these maps! I just had a look into the Steam Workshop and noticed that you're one of a few people who ever released at least one custom map for Attila. I don't know if you heard of my Total War: Rise of Mordor [www.twcenter.net] overhaul project. There we also need experienced modders who are going to create custom maps for the mod and I think you could be the right one for us! Maybe you already managed to add custom imported models on a map?

Very very nice! You even have the ziggaruts wich i didn't know existed as models.

Just one thing, could you make the residential areas look less like "slums" and more packed and ordered with streets with larger houses (and narrow street)?

btw for you guys who cant find the map like my friend The Triumph of Rome said you can find it under the cities tab and then presets tab, we cannot add them to the battlemap yet as thats a campaign issue.

yea ima fix that gap as my friend too had that issue, ai though well lets get CA or somone to help us with these siege si nodes but more preferably CA cause they crash the game so maybe it needs an update.
